The welcome was warm and friendly, staff obliging and informative. We were breakfasting on our way to a country fayre. There were some really nice home made touches. The food was fresh and of good quality. We will definitely return.

Sunday 11th August Just drove out of our way to grab a couple of takeaway latte’s as I saw they close at 3pm! And the door was locked lights were off at 2.40pm! The woman was still inside tidying up! Change your door sign and Google times if you are not open until 3pm!!!!!!!

What a find! Stopped here with my son cycling back from Langford Lakes. The owner came out straightaway with a key so we could lock our bikes up in the adjacent passageway. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was beautifully presented and delicious, and there was plenty of outdoor seating in the pretty, peaceful courtyard at the back. I will definitely be coming back!

We had such a lovely experience here! The staff was so friendly to our children. The food was delicious. The courtyard area was shady and picturesque on a warm day.

I've been here before quite a while back. It's not changed, at all, hubby, and we still got a lovely welcome as we walked in the door as they do for all customers The food was exceptionally good and the atmosphere was nice. It's not cheap but is worth every penny.

The much improved cafe with similar favourites, friendlier staff and now much more dog friendly as well. I now make a point to visit often.

Excellent food and service. I ordered something that was not on the menu but I was told that this would not be a problem. They were correct! My co-diners also loved their food.

Delicious food, really tasty and well presented. Quick service too. Came in here with my boyfriend for something quick and found a gem. Had to buy some cake too on the way out.

Popped in this morning with my German Shepherd George, staff very friendly and George enjoyed all the attention. I went for the full English breakfast which was absolutely amazing, best breakfast I’ve had in years, will visit again.

As above service so slow, sloppy, asked for water never arrived. Took 50 minutes for food to arrive. Food was fine. Chewing gum unacceptable when serving.

We decided to give the nearby Garden Centre a miss as I had a vague recollection of seeing cafes in the town some years ago. This one looked the better option and we were not disappointed! Eggs Benedict served on toasted muffin with smashed avocado were cooked to perfection by friendly staff. The cakes were also tempting but we know our limits! Will certainly return next time we are passing especially as there is free parking nearby.

We came upon the Cuckoo Cafe by chance on a short visit to Wilton and decided to drop in for lunch - primarily to escape the September heatwave. Food (toasted sourdoughs and sandwiches with sides), drinks (iced lattes) and service were excellent and the whole establishment was light and airy, cool, clean and very friendly. We ate inside - but on another day when the outside temperatures were below 27 degrees - we would have been tempted by the garden tables. We wish the (new?) owners every success.

The Cuckoo Cafe A friend of mine are regulars at the previously Coffee Darling Cafe and regularly have a couple of coffees each and at least every other week breakfast at the recently sold and rebranded Cuckoo. I’m diabetic and so am watching my carbs and my friend is slightly gluten intolerant and so we order things around that or modify the breakfast a little to accommodate. This way we don’t have to go through the numerous dietary misunderstandings. Since the change in the cafe this has begrudgingly been done until today when I felt my self having a full on Victor Meldrew moment when greeted by the previously happy and fun team but the now totally gleeless team. Me: good morning, two flat whites please Her: are you eating Me: maybe Her: “grumpy face” menus! Thrusting them at me We sit down Flat whites delivered Mrs happy arrives and ask what we want Me: I’m not so hungry so just a single poached egg on toasted sourdough please Her: that’s not on the menu Me a bit bemused: well eggs (2) on toast is and so is sourdough and I don’t want to eat that much Her: but it’s not on the menu and the chef gets grumpy Me: shrug Mate says can he have bacon and eggs Her: how much bacon? Him: two crispy rashers please Other lady ( think owner/partner of chef) comes over: the chef copes with occasional tweaks to menu but not all at the same time and that they have plenty of business and don’t need to have our business Me: I think he should probably man up a bit They leave There are three other customers in the whole place at the time! We drink our coffees, pay and leave having wondered if the chef will ever enjoy cooking in a cafe? We think we’ll ask him when he is opening his first Michelin Star establishment!!!! Cuckoo by name and nature it seems However, as we won’t come back for the smiles, banter and friendly local service that most venues near here have as it won’t exist any longer, we won’t get the chance. Shame.

Excellent food, friendly service and a very nice atmosphere. Cuckoo has recently changed hands (it used to be Coffee Darling), but the high standards have been maintained.

Quick stop en route to Portsmouth - best tomato and mozzarella on toasted sourdough, and both the other sandwiches we had were also excellent. Warm, friendly service. 5 stars, and noted to return to next time we’re passing! Thank you 😊

Lovely atmosphere, professional staff, reasonable prices and tasty food. Our omelette and toastie were delicious and they catered very well for those that cannot eat gluten. We'll definitely be returning.

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Website showed great promise. Kerbside appeal good, car parking good, service very good ( very helpful and friendly). Strange layout inside as its old building, dining room has no bar. Garden not used to its full potential, only very old tired play equipment for children. Food reasonable, 2 out of 3 meals okay. Third meal of chicken disappointing, either poor quality meat or overcooked or possibly both !!!!! Empty on a nice sunny lunchtime !!! Sorry but would not rush back.

It’s the first time for years that I’ve been for a meal at The Agra. It was always good previously but I was blown away by the experience tonight. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the decor had been updated and was elegant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had sweet chilli chicken with rice which was wonderful. I was in a group of 4 adults and a child and we all chose a different main course after sharing a selection of starters. Each dish was amazing and only my grandson could manage a dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will look forward to going back.

Not just the best chips in Trowbridge. Possibly the best chips anywhere. And the portions are huge!!
