This was an unexpected surprise on our last day staying at littlesea holiday park. We ordered a bacon bap with mushrooms and hash browns on the side and a breakfast burger. This was such good quality food for little price. I wish we saw this place before our last morning as we would have been here for breakfast and lunch throughout the week.

We looked-up best places to eat a Sunday roast online locally and this place had respectable reviews. We didn’t book and turned up unannounced just before 17:00 on a November Sunday. The welcome was pleasant and they offered us a table with brilliant views, it was our loss that it was starting to get dark. We both decided on the Sunday Carvery as we had spied it on the way to our table. The Service was friendly and swift. The Carvery is a help yourself affair (other than the selection of joints - Turkey, Beef, Pork), which I especially liked as I had two Yorkshire Puddings - A commodity which is all too often strictly policed in other restaurants. The food was hot and plentiful. My wife commented that the gravy was getting rather low, which the cook overheard and without any provocation, immediately offered to bring a gravy boat over to our table - I nearly put him on my Christmas Card list! I often say to my wife when eating out that I wish that more establishments would add a few extra £’s to the cost of the meal, but use better quality ingredients. I feel this was entirely the case here as the Stuffing was full of sausage meat and not sawdust, the roast potatoes were beautifully crisp, the dauphinoise potatoes were absolutely stunning and the parsnips were cooked in honey. Two completely empty plates tell their own story. I find it near impossible to get a Sunday Roast (cooked for the masses) to rival the quality of one you would spend all day cooking at home, but this is as close as you’re going to get. Our experience was excellent.

Having moved into the area, our thoughts is to support a local business. The garden centre is great and we will continue to use for our gardening needs. Least the chap on there on our visit smiled and was friendly. The visit to the cafe unfortunately not so good. As previous messages left on trip advisor the lack of warmth from staff members in the cafe is non existence . Tea no extra hot water meant the taste of such strong tea was disgusting why not chew on the teabag only forget the water !! We have a lot of friends and family visitinf all year tound and we were thinking of booking the function room especially for Xmas festivities based on the atmosphere and the food which was over salted, just tepid. Won't be booking anything. I am in hospitality, restaurant, cafe, customer service is your business , there should be no let up no natter what your day is panning out personally, without customers you won't have a business, don't rest on your laurels.

Absolutely shocking service from a young team headed by a middle aged lady who is the rudest woman I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting! Didn’t write down what we wanted,, didn’t give us all dessert menus to look at and rolled her eyes and walked off when we hadn’t decided what we wanted, tried to charge us for another tables drinks, asked us to leave as our table was taken when we were still eating, we are a local family of 12 celebrating 2 birthdays never again will I go there!

Visited the Fun Factory on a rainy day with my baby. To book in, other children in the waiting area were running into his pram. The gates were hard to open. Upon arrival, we were told, that the only available tables were upstairs and there was no lift! I had to carry the baby and pram up the stairs. Walking through the downstairs department was like trying to run through a jungle. We finally got to our table which was covered in what looked like chewed food and saliva and all over the chairs too. I am aware that soft play areas are noisy but this was more than that. I took the baby down to play in the under 3's section which was a tiny cage. There weren't many activities for him to play with. The baby mirror in there was dirty, the ball pit was over crowded. To get on the slide, it was a climb and with a baby, it proves impossible. Older children were coming in the baby section and scaring him and leaving the gate open which I was furious about. The sensory toys were broken. A 7 year old girl was in there throwing balls at him too and I had a go at her mum and told them to get out. I told a member of staff and they did nothing about it. He also had some lunch there which looked cheap and processed. You could literally see the fat dripping off it. You are apparently allowed to take the babies in the older children's play area but I was straight away put off when i saw the filth on some of the children's socks and the rate they were running around! In order to make this a better place you really need to add a lift, make a better play area for babies, get friendlier and more helpful staff, healthier food, clean the place and maybe even give it a revamp, buy more toys for the baby area and in general make it more appealing. Until Fun Factory up their game, I'm certainly not going back. Unless you want your babies to have a day of being in the worst play area of all time, don't come here!
