Spent £13 on quiche and salad. Got a tiny triangle of quiche, which was mostly pastry and bang average salad. Thank God the gardens were better

Closed Saturdays which was a surprise, but when open does a good job alongside the garden. Good menu and fair prices served by happy staff. Could make more of the views IMO.

Came here with a gardening group and as we arrived at lunchtime we decided to eat before we explored these beautiful gardens. I ordered a jacket potato with beans which wasn’t too bad apart from the very limp salad with no dressing. My friend ordered quiche with salad and had to ask for dressing. For almost £13 I would have expected a huge slice of home made quiche and the freshest of salads. If I were going here again I’d take a picnic…Come on Bennett’s, you can do better than that. If not, get a quality cook or chef in

Me and my mum decided to pop into Cafe Monet earlier this afternoon as part of our first visit to the Water Gardens...and what a mistake it was. We ordered the quiche and side salad, one with half a jacket potato. We were told there was a bit of a wait, which we appreciated as the cafe was very busy. The photos below show what was delivered some 20-30 minutes later. Each cost between £12 - £13. A quarter slice of quiche that could well have been bought from M&S. A half jacket potato that was burnt and dry. And a side salad that had probably come out of a packet. Absolutely outrageous. Shame on you Cafe Monet. After this, we then had to pay £12 each to visit the Water Gardens - which were beautiful but the experience was tainted by our pathetic lunch beforehand! Not to be repeated. Do better Cafe Monet.

Small cafe attached to water garden. You don't need to pay for a garden ticket to use the cafe. The staff were friendly and the cafe very clean. Some interesting local artwork on the walls. A very nice lunchtime menu. I had a prawn sandwich that was served with a side salad and crisps. The cheese platter looked fabulous, served to the table next to us.

Popped in for lunch before heading into the water gardens and so glad we did. We had jacket potatoes with cheese and chutney, with a side of coleslaw and salad, and a coffee and walnut cake too. The food was delicious and perfect for a light lunch to keep us going until dinnertime. Service was quick and the lady serving was lovely although due to an unavoidable incident one the other staff members had to rush off for an emergency meaning she was overworked. My partner being kind helped clear just a few of the tables and this lovely lady rewarded us with cream tea. Couldn't praise her highly enough as she made our day.

Nice menu with lovely, friendly staff. The café is clean and light, with a lovely fresh ambience even in dreary weather, and there's a good selection of cake choices. We stayed for a drink and a cream tea after walking around the beautiful gardens, of which the café has a lovely view, and the staff were very friendly. There was a gluten free option for cream tea (useful for one particular member of our party) and the luxury hot chocolate was decadent without being overpowering. Would definitely go back here.

It was a little bit expensive for what you got and the Dorset apple cake was a little dry, luckily we had it warmed up plus the cream on the side helped. The place was tidy and the service was pleasant, of the weather is fine you can sit outside and take in the view of not there's plenty of seating inside.

This small but lovely modern cafe is ideally situated at the entrance to the Waterlily Gardens, enabling the visitor to have something to eat or drink before setting off around the gardens, and or returning to finish a nice tour around before setting off again. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there is indoor and outdoor seating. The toilets are adjoined to the cafe and shop as well as being close to the museum.

Nestled on the same site as Bennett’s Water Park, Cafe Monet is an ideal spot for a pre or post water park visit for a drink and or something to eat. A good selection of tea’s, coffees and everything from a slice of cake to cooked options, all very appealing. We chose the ham ploughman’s and the baked potato with beans and cheese. Both of us were suitably impressed. We will be back to sample some of those cakes next time!

Nice venue; clean restaurant with good snacks reasonably priced. When we had lunch (Monday at 13:00) there was no soup available, although it was on the menu. We were surprised to be turned away at 15:00 when we wanted a coffee before departure - told it had closed (even though reception said that it should be open until the 16:00 closing time for the Gardens).
