Ottoman Kebab House in West Dorset

I've eaten from basically every kebab shop in Weymouth and last night I had doner meat and chips, the kebab meat was the best I've had.

Wonderful! Now and again a Doñer Kebab just "hits the spot" and The Ottoman Kebab House food is absolutely fabulous. I usually go for a Combination Kebab which is always perfectly cooked and flavoursome of good quality and quantity too. I don't do salad but my wife does and she says it's always crisp, fresh and plentiful too. The staff are a delight and always very busy. The two ladies who take the orders are always smiling too and very welcoming. Their menu is extensive and offers much more than Doñer Kebabs but we have not tried anything else yet. Highly recommend The Ottoman for when one fancies a Doñer Kebab. 😋👍🏻

Lovely food no matter what you order

Probably one of the best Kebabs and Pizzas ive had. Stayed on littlesea caravan park ordered on the app walked up (dont believe they are allowed to deliver on site) and it was ready on the side waiting for us. Try this place if you ever get a chance.

Excellent! Used on Friday night- great service and beautiful, clean, delicious Kababs and chips. Used via Just Eat on Sunday, the miserable (and probably jealous) Haven staff wouldn’t allow them access to deliver to our caravan- so I went to pick the food up from their shop. They gave me the £3 delivery fee back, were very apologetic (they had nothing to apologise about!) and passed me my order- again, fantastic food!! Probably one of the best Kebab shops I have ever used. Thoroughly recommend. 10/10

Ordered two kebabs at a cost of £37 wow yes, however thought would be amazing!!! I asked for everything to be separated but came all together so wet and gross…contacted them to complain for them to send three uncooked pittas….probably only care about holiday customers so be aware

Ordered online and food was ready for collection before we arrived( ready in under 20 mins). Pizza perfect. Kebab good portion and well cooked. Prices excellent too. Will defo be back !!

The good has really gone down hill. We came here the last two years when visiting and the burgers were 🔥. We ordered two burgers this year and the grease from them was awful the buns were soaked we couldn't eat them. The only saviour was the pizza and garlic pizza bread.

Had the mixed Donner with cheese, chips and chilli sauce. Was flavoursome and a nice chilli hit. Quantity was about right and quality high.

I had lamb shih, rice and salad. The meat was OK, lightly under cooked and pink but being Lamb, just about get away. The portion is smaller than expected, just about full or no longer hungry. Both meat and salad tasted ok, rice was a bit wet, and was not because of the sauce. Overall, it's ok and nice enough but had so much better and similar or lesser price.

Usually have a nice meal from here and are regular customers but we were let down with our last order. Was a mixed order of kebabs, burgers and pizza. The pizza wasn't cooked, was completely raw in the middle. Phoned them to report it so they sent out a replacement. This was received in good time but was burnt, the crust was inedible and the whole thing just tasted of a charred mess. The remainder of the order was okay, but was luke warm. Didn't see the point in complaining again, easier to just not order again for a while in the hope the quality of cooking improves.

Ordered the ottoman special kebab. It was really tasty and so much food. Staff are really friendly will definitely go back.

Walked from Littlesea Haven to order & take away. Staff were lovely. The food was delicious, piping hot and well wrapped. We had 2 wraps - a doner & lamb kofti, both with salad

I would not recommend this take away. The food was cold, soggy and overall not enjoyable. I will not be returning. Absolutely awful, total waste of money.

Food good and tasty after we had heated all of it. It really wasCOLD when it arrived. Perhaps it should have been in a box and not a plastic bag.

I was staying at the haven little sea and wanted to try this kebab shop because of the reviews , very nice food , I would even go to say that’s it’s the best kebabs shop food I have ever had , cheesy chips are the stand out for me ,very well presented ,also quick service ,but taken care into making it , very friendly lady on the phone taking orders as well , high recommended

Stayed at Haven Littlesea across the road so this little gem was a great find! Ordered over the phone. Girl who took our order was very pleasant and polite. On arrival to collect, food was ready and we the order was correct. The premises was spotless, very clean. Food was hot and delicious. Would recommend!

First time we came here it was amazing, 2nd time order wrong, 3rd time order wrong so went and ordered face to face... Asked for pitta to be seperate as I cant stand soggy pitta, got home and pitta was full of chicken and soggy. Went again tonight, specifically said 3 times, pitta seperate, really thought tonight I was heard.. But oh no not only soggy pitta but chicken juice all over my trousers.. I rang and complained and was laughed at by the girl taking orders, I said I want a refund and was told I would only get a free pitta bread! So next time im going to take 3 plastic tubs labelled, chicken, salad, pitta... Yes i know im deconstructing the kebab and defeats the object but a kebab is a treat for me and its not a drunken treat. So, food is lush and I want to go back but dont want to be laughed at by the staff as i dont like a soggy pitta...

Amazing service and food we couldn't wait to come and try the ottomans box deal and it didn't dissapoint so had it again the following night but ordered the calzone another amazing meal. Wish our local kebabs served up good quality food like yours 5* all round.

Called in last night, ordered a large doner with salad, I hadn't had a kebab for some time so was grateful for there advice on what sauce to have, chilli and mayo. Also ordered chicken strips and chips for the wife. All freshly cooked and was very enjoyable. So tonight we said let's give it another go, the wife had the same as last night, I had a 1/2lb chicken fillet burger with salad and mayo, all freshly cooked. Once again a great experience. All the staff are so helpfully bad friendly. 5 stars all round. Just give it a go, you will love it.

We actually did not get to eat the food we were ordering , the young person serving us was the most disgusting unprofessional person I have had the misfortune to meet. We walked in to the shop to order our food, the person serving us was slumped across the counter. We ordered our food the person took our order, this person actually should not be working in a place the public frequent, her attitude was the worst I have ever come across. I declined to pay for my food I was ordering and walked out

It was quite busy when we visited, the team were very organised and we didn’t have to wait too long, we both had a wrap, they were huge and well worth the money. We will definitely be returning!

Had a Keebab last night, it was just simply horrendous. The meat was completely tasteless and very dry. Worst Keebab I think I’ve ever had. Disappointed to say the least. Had 3 mouthfuls and binned the lot.

Appallingly bad food. Rude customer service. Gone from average to very bad in 6 months. Wouldn't bother.

Always 11/10 I go for the lamb donner wrap and the garlic shrooms and it's heavenly admittedly id rather talk to the boss man shivan over the phone than the other employees he just has a real passion for what he does and cooks but can't ever fault x

I have so many choices of kebab houses where I live in the centre of town, but I travelled out to the Ottoman takeaway, and I wasn't disappointed, it's the best Kebab I've had in Weymouth and that's where I'll be going from now on.

Regularly order from here for delivery and very disappointed tonight with what can only be described as half a meal. £9 for chicken shish, rice and salad. Cannot agree that this ‘meal’ can be deemed value for money.

discusting cold kebab. Phone staff and manager extremely rude. Delivery driver was so lovely and apologised for the cold food. I sent it back and wasn't even offered a refund.

Banging kebab! One of the best we have had!

Popped in as was in the local area and thought would try the food here, ordered a 14" Goodfella pizza,which is pepperoni,peppers and mushrooms,pizza freshly made on a decent base and with plenty of cheese,also had a portion onion rings and mozzarella sticks all for just over £20,hot n tasty food, great value, quick service,not tried the kebabs yet but will next time so can't comment but recommend on this visit.

The absolute best kebab/food we have ever had. Such a pity we live over 4 hours away. Can you deliver? Amazing!!!! If you have not tried please do not hesitate. Gutted to be going home on Friday and not able to get!

What can I say but fabulous, the meats shish melts in your mouth and the donner quite frankly is one of the best I have ever had, and I have sampled many from around the UK.

First visit there 09/09/22 the greeting and customer service from the young lady on the till was appalling, I appreciate she might of been having a bad day. The kebabs we're gorgeous and the guys in the kitchen were friendly. Would definitely recommend

Staying at nearby holiday park, made quick, tasted great

I got there by mistake as I put wrong directions to the campsite but gladly , because the food is fingerlicking good. I had a chicken shish meal and portions are huge and delicious.

Ordered chicken kebab chees chips. Chicken had a hair of chicken not cooked well. Lots skin in chicken. Rest is good but chicken is disgusting and tomato not taste well 1slice tomato cut for half. Never order chicken from that place

Was recommended Ottoman by a friend. Was definitely not disappointed. Meat was fresh, not dried, curled up offerings. Really enjoyed and will be ordering again

My eldest said the Pizzas were really good, I had a large Donner, also very good . Timed collection was very nice, has a countdown on the website. On my second visit had to get the 12" pizza as the 14" was too much for my eldest to eat alone, my mixed kebab was beautiful. Please note the chips are standard kebab shop chips not chip shop chips.

Food was okay, but well over priced for average food, asked me if wanted sauce, I asked chilli, was told £1.20. Also a smile from the staff would not go a miss.

Food was superb. One of the best. Only thing I would question is the portion size. Payed an extra £1.50 for a large dish and it was basically the same as my wife's and daughters. Food was 👍

Just fed a family of five. Very quiet around the dining table and five clear plates. 3 kids were eating their first kebabs and loved them. Very quick service, very pleasant staff who took our order while the chef listened in and started cooking straight away. Order was accurate, food was tasty, portion sizes were perfect. Chicken and lamb shish was delightfully spiced and perfectly cooked. Hoping to go again while we are in the area, top notch kebabs.

The name of the menu is grilled chicken served with Rice and salads but when we opened the pack very disappointed there was only salad and rice was more and the chicken pice was not much ,literally waste of money. I won't suggest this take way anymore

Went here for dinner last night, very impressed to say the least. Have been going to my favourite kebab house for over 10 years and have never found another one close to its liking but it is safe to say ottoman has flown straight to the top! Won’t be going anywhere else anymore lovely food highly recommend

Best one I've had since moving here

Chips appear to be more like a frozen fries and the mixed meat kebab was inedible, perhaps from the day before, dry and frazzle lamb done and chicken was more like pulled shreds. Not good!

Kebab was nice but did cancel it online and still turned up so had to pay for it.

We had mixed kebabs with all the salad! Was really nice and not greasy at all. The salad was lovely and fresh. Staff were friendly and polite.

Enjoyed the pizzas but far from the best and compared to Papa John's on littlesea an absolute bargain.

Well tasty definitely going there again

So being local to the area we had to give this place a go, the food was excellent, chilli and garlic sauce really complimented the food, but my reason for giving 2 stars was because of the portion size, when paying for a large meal you dont expect to still be hungry after. It cost £20 for the 2 large donner meat and chips (delivered) so for the price i expected to be satisfied, which neither me or my partner were.

Absolutely love this place, if you staying in the area its a must. Staff are friendly and polite. What more can I say,oh ye you must try the chicken kebab meat and chips it’s fantastic

£70 to feed 3 adults and 3 kids was quite expensive. I’m happy to pay good money for good food but this was the worst food I’ve ever eaten in a kebab shop. We ended up throwing it in the bin and making dinner. Chicken kebab was by far the worst thing ordered, I absolutely wouldn’t eat here or recommend this restaurant.

Chicken shish gyro (wrap) was good, and the garlic source superb.

Staying at the Holiday Park and the guy brought our food over to the gate for us. So kind and very helpful. Food was delicious.... all hot and plenty of it. Curry sauce is amazing, as is the chilli sauce. Wish they could deliver to my home address 😃

Had to wait for over an hour and a half for a delivery that finally arrived missing items from the order.... Phoned and requested to speak to the manager and was told that he was to busy to speak to me. I perceived and was greeted by a very unfriendly,unprofessional person who informed me that the missing items on the order would be fully refunded....5 weeks on and this has still to happen!

The special kebab box was fantastic, loads of food for a bargain price Great Doner meat and tasty chicken. Plenty for 2, would be enough for 4 maybe?

Had 3 meals so far and absolutely enjoyed all. As a previous comment said “about time we had a decent kebab in Weymouth”.

Right outside the main gate at littlesea Haven, popped in 1 night about 8pm as feeling hungry good selection normal prices I had a donor kebab my partner had a burger and chips and cheese. The donor comes with the salad underneath the pitta which is different but the meat wasn't very hot, my partner said the burger was OK but the chips & cheese were horrible, won't be going back next time where down

Ordered for the first time today, really impressed with the speed of delivery. The food was very tasty with good combinations of flavour. Portion size good for the money. Will order from here again.

Got to say it's nice to have a decent kebab house Chickerell side of Weymouth. Had the Ottoman burger and was very happy with it will definitely be going back. And parking is plentiful.

The chicken and lamb donor was amazing the best kebab place in Weymouth.

Heard a lot of positive reviews about this place so had to try it out. The portion size is generous and plentiful. I stopped half way through eating and it still looked like I had a full meal left.

Great value for money and very fresh tasting, I'd shake the hand of anyone who can finish one of those boxes

Ordered mixed wrap. Very VERY good! Fresh salad, tasty meat and the garlic mayo is the best I've ever tried! Highly recommended. Can't wait to try more food from this takeaway
