Premier Inn Dorchester hotel in West Dorset

The room was really lovely. Parking was easy to sort. Restaurant on site was definitely a big surprise

Beds are lovely as always which is the main thing. Would be nice if the lifts work correctly as it took a while to get to our room. Disappointed that the kitchen was closed as planned to have our evening meal there.

Rooms have been downgraded to make you pay more for what you used to get for the same price

Some delays finding staff and gaining entry to the underground car park. Apart from that very good value for money and a pleasant stay.

My family came down for a short break and found the rooms etc acceptable although the lifts were unreliable and more than once they had to seek assistance. I joined them one evening for what was an awful meal. The food was terribly over cooked and luke warm. We sent one dish back but the replacement was also cold and burnt. From the attitude of staff this was not unusual. There were multiple items missing from the menu so left with few options. The wine selection was limited and overall it was a poor experience. Very disappointing.

Stayed here many times. Location and staff excellent. Only minor problem was smell from kitchen in room 109.

Premier inn - room up to the usual standard. Clean and basic. Not impressed with the on site parking hence 4 stars. My advice is to use one of the car parks nearby as there's less faff.

Unfortunately this Premier Inn has spoiled my thoughts of the company after so many greats stays in other hotels in the chain I have complained directly to the company.

This hotel now has the new design evolution style rooms. On the app it says that the room has two chairs but our room only had one. Not many rooms have a bath only showers. No purple light above the bed. Air conditioning actually worked. Room 105. Location is good near the railway station and Costa. This hotel desperately needed a refurbishment and I'm glad it's now been done.

I’ve spent 45mins trying to book 3 nights for myself Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Check out Friday. This is for one person. I’ve checked and checked my entries. I’m offered a room for £71 each night. Then the screen shows two persons at the 3 nights don’t cost 3x£71 £213 the charge is variable but more.. it’s now an hour spent trying to book. Do you have similar problems? CH

The Car Park is currently OUT OF USE while building work within the hotel is being completed. It does not state this any where and they still advertise parking. You have to instead use a local open air car park car park that is free 6pm - 8am but charges otherwise.

Staff friendly and attentive. Unfortunately there was building works at the hotel so a lot of noise in the morning. Also the air con wasn’t working. Because of all this I don’t think £206 for one night’s stay was value for money. A shame because I’ve never had any issues staying at Premier Inn’s before.

Great stay. Great rooms. Great service and it's in an area where you can shop, eat and find entertainment. Brilliant stay. Even though they had work on and had to park in off site parking it was still close by and not too expensive.
