Zizzi - Dorchester in West Dorset

Due to an undelivered Uber order the night before (not the restaurants fault as the driver collected it), we were offered a table. We had a lovely impromptu date night. The service was excellent to all the tables. Many thanks to Kieran and our lovely waiter. We will be back again.

Food was really good. I would highly recommend the Chicken Milanese, a very hearty, flavoursome meal. The staff were friendly, attentive and hard working. Nothing to complain about. Go, you won't be disappointed!

I’ve been here nearly 10 times and I always find the staff So friendly here, and you can usually find it nice and calm on a weekday. The food has always been amazing and you often get speedy service.

Excellent menu choices and value for money. Service was excellent. Not massively happy with there being unisex toilets.

Nothing less than 5 stars. As a Friday night walk in we risked not getting a table but they seated us in the already busy restaurant straight away. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot and service was top notch.

One of the best Zizzi restaurants we have visited recently. Good service, food and atmosphere. Blake looked after us on a busy Saturday night and did a great job. Really nice guy.

Decent evening out. Service from ordering food was incredibly fast (maybe a touch too fast), it definitely felt rushed. Drink and quality of food however were very good. Reasonably priced menu, good drinks menu too. Emese our waitress was incredibly attentive was very talkative and we were well looked after. Please pass on our thanks.

Had such a good meal at Zizzi today. It was really busy and you could tell they were a bit short on staff, but honestly, they handled it so well. The team were all super friendly and kept everything running smoothly despite the chaos. Food was spot on too – fresh, tasty, and came out quicker than I expected. Fair play to the staff, they smashed it. Will definitely be going back!

Party of 9 dined tonight for my son's 17th birthday. Staff were really attentive, and the food was amazing. Very accommodating with allowing our birthday cake to be brought out and eaten. Will definitely return.

I’m disabled with some pretty severe food allergies. Our server, Emese, was so accommodating and lovely. She went above and beyond for my other half and me. 10/10!

Lovely environment to eat in. Food piping hot and promptly served (early evening setting). Served by Laila and very well looked after. Great price. And worth noting that we were there because we'd been in the previous evening and had had a great meal too. If I had to be super picky it's only to say to Zizzi head office that I find there is so much menu choice it's a bit overwhelming...

Lovely evening spent here. The food was delicious. Ordered of the set menu so got 3 courses for £26 which was really good. Our server Blake was so friendly and helpful when we asked for take away boxes he sorted it straight away

Booked in our choir group of over 50 people. Everything was perfect from the table layout to the food and the staff members couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. We had the lunchtime set menu, very reaonable. Everyone really enjoyed it, thank you to Blake, David, Abin & Zzanette. We booked our second group in for next week!

Always a great family friendly atmosphere on a busy weekend evening, but you definitely need to book. Staff are very friendly and the food is really good. Always some sort of discount to be had which means decent value. It's a great restaurant choice in brewery square.

We regularly visit here and as always the food is great. Emese our host was amazing and made amendments to our order with ease and always made sure we had enough drinks and food.

It was my first time visiting Zizzi’s. I was very impressed. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Our lovely waitress Emese provided a brilliant service throughout and I would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our first (and last) visit to Zizzi. Restaurant is very nicely decorated and our waitress was lovely. However the food was a great disappointment. Son had children’s pizza which was so small it was served on a side plate/saucer. Not only small in size but so thin with barely any topping. Daughter had spaghetti bolognaise which tasted like the sauce was out of a tin. Puddings were the saving grace. Very expensive for very cheap/nasty food. Will not return and have advised friends and family not to waste their money going.

Zsanet and Blake were also just as impressive, checking in on our table as they walked by and making sure we had what we needed – always something with four children at the table! On arrival the man who greeted us was happy polite and friendly and took us to our table within a couple of minutes. All the staff were happy and friendly and looked like they enjoyed their job and were happy to be there. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, didn’t catch her name but she had beautiful lilac coloured hair. She was so friendly and checked everything was ok during our evening a couple of times and asked if everything was ok with our meal. We had a drink and a complementary small bowl of crisps/nibbles to enjoy while we waited for your food. Our starters were amazing and were brought out to us quickly. We had Mushroom Brindisi and a Chorizo and Mozzarella Bombe. Mains was Beef brisket and Venison Stufato and spaghetti chorizo carbonara. Desserts were Baked Lemon and blackcurrant cheesecake and a honeycomb cheesecake. The waiting time on each course was just right. 10/10 for each course. It was my best friend and I who enjoyed a meal here for my early birthday treat. I had never been to Zizzi before, I can’t wait to return as it was just amazing, the food, staff, service, the lot. Fantastic.

We booked a table for a meal to celebrate a family birthday before a visit to the cinema. This restaurant is situated right next to the cinema so I am sure they would get many bookings like ours. Table was booked for 7 but we were disappointed to find that when we turned up just before, there was a queue of about 7 groups that had also booked tables and none were ready. Everyone was crammed waiting in the entrance. The restaurant was very busy. We were told there was about a 15 minute wait. After waiting patiently for 15 mins, only one of the groups had been seated. We were worried about the cinema booking so asked the staff how much longer they thought it would be and were told that it would probably be another 20 mins. At this stage we left as we didn't feel we would be seated and served in time for the film. It's such a shame that Zizzis seem to prioritise money over guest experience, clearly not leaving enough time in between table bookings. It ruined a celebratory evening for us and definitely put us off visiting again.
