Sharing fondue platter amazing too much food feeling stuffed but all good

My family and I came to Brewery square this evening for a planned birthday meal that unfortunately did not go our way at the originally booked restaurant, in a bid to save our evening we decided to try our luck at Zizzi’s and luck is exactly what we had! With no reservation or any real plan we were extremely happy when we were received with open arms by Kieran! He made us feel extremely welcome and had us seated right away! The atmosphere inside was brilliant and the services we received along with the food were outstanding! I can’t thank the whole team enough for saving our evening and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening out with incredible food and vibes! Thank you all so much!

Zsanett took care of us today. Fantastic service, very kind lady. The food was also great we have enjoyed every single bite. We will come again soon

Very good and professional service

Went for a family meal Sunday afternoon with the kids and grandkids. At first they couldn’t find the booking. After a while asked if would like to order then realised they hadn’t given us menus, had to ask for children’s one, there were 3 under four. When the food came it was just under cooked and very bland. We asked for a small portion herby fries and a large regular and got them the wrong way around. Asked for tea spoons for the kids ice cream and got large dessert spoons, apparently someone had nicked all the tea spoons. Staff looked and acted very not bothered and everyone was an inconvenience, no leadership or management from anyone. So £170 and we got average overpriced food and drinks and rubbish service. Have been in the week before and it was a great experience. So very disappointed 😞.

Absolutely amazing time , food was brilliant and Staff were great,

Average food, nice location and atmosphere. We had a variety of meals from the main menu and the price does not match the quality. The pizza was cold, I think this was left on the side waiting for other meals to be finished. Children's main meals are tiny probably only suite up to 7 year old. Salad was bland. The restaurant is lovely and well presented and staff are friendly just let down by average food.

5 friends for dinner and we were all disappointed. The food was mediocre, my chicken Milanese was soggy and dumped on the “crispy” potatoes making them soggy too. The breadcrumbs just fell off in clumps and the vegetables funnily enough were also soggy. The pizza and pasta dishes went down better with my friends. We all had calamari to start and that was ok, batter was crisp but the actual calamari was tasteless. Desserts were nice but tiny portions. However the service was atrocious. Very nice staff but incompetent. We had to ask for drinks, cutlery and salt several times, they started clearing the table then forgot, leaving glasses piled up. It took ages to catch anybody’s eye and we must have had 5 different staff over the course of the evening, none of them seemed to be aware of what the others had done. Chasing for a bottle of wine after 15 minutes is not acceptable. We won’t be back.

Amazing authentic Italian food!! Service today was slightly slow, clear that the management hadn't quite booked on enough staff to accommodate increased demand while the Xmas market is in town.

We had a great light meal, a little difference in the way they make their pizzas but still delicious. Service very efficient and fast.

Never had a bad meal here, staff always friendly and food amazing! Tried the three course festive menu tonight and was not disappointed. Good portion sizes and really tasty.

I dined here with my partner on Saturday night and had the most incredible experience! We were served by a beautiful blonde lady who I believe was the manager. She was absolutely excellent. Really attentive, super friendly and completely made our experience. We shared the favourites board to start which was absolutely delicious and for our main course we opted for two pizzas. All food was absolutely fantastic. I have already booked a table to bring the rest of my family!! Thanks so much Zizzi😘

We ordered starters (pork & garlic meatballs, a garlic bombe & garlic bread) they were really tasty! Especially the bombe who knew honey could go so well with a giant garlic dough ball! For mains, we ordered a rustica sticky pig, calzone carne piccante, crispy prosciutto carbonara & a children's spaghetti bolognase. The mains were absolutely delicious, although the children's spaghetti bolognase was tasteless, which was a shame as I had high hopes. Overall, we had a really good time and came away feeling full although I was surprised that you can't use Veteran's discount on a Friday or a Saturday, I think that is quite insulting considering they accept Tesco's vouchers all day everyday!!

Great Italian! Visited a couple times and cannot fault anything. Great food and not badly priced compared to most. Would recommend the Pizzas and Bolognaise Chips…

The food was nice but the service was extremely slow. We had to flag down a member of staff after waiting half an hour after we sat down to see if we would be served. The food came quickly once ordered and was tasty. Restaurant wasn't particularly busy either. Staff were friendly when we were served but it was very slow. Where we work customers are served immediately upon walking through the door (granted its not a restaurant) but it would have been nice to have been offered drinks at least.

Great meal, amazing service, beautiful decor

Ryan our waiter was amazing. He was friendly with a warm personality and he even sang happy birthday when he bought the puddings out for our son.

Excellent value for money, especially when using a taste card. Unfortunately we didn't get the name of our server but she was super friendly and helpful, She had blonde hair and she was very accommodating 😊 thank you for a lovely experience, we will definitely be back!!

Clearly Carl was seasoned in hospitality intuitive to our needs. My daughters have both worked in hospitality and know genuine Carl on point and a credit to the company. Aside food amazing and for me first time very impressed . Chefs should be proud .As always the unsung heroes . Generally great experience thank you

Sadly did not meet our expectations .over priced and small portions. Had a hole in dessert bowl which leaked coffee onto table. Waitress did not believe us and after swapping dish over then stayed at table and wiped dish dry to try and prove us wrong. We were correct had no apology made to feel very awkward . Service not very good

Went to Zizzi’s with work, one of my teams leaving party. They let us decorate the table, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant was extremely busy however we wanted for nothing. Kyle the assistant manager was on hand at every opportunity getting our drinks orders placed quickly and super super helpful allowing us to get our food orders in when we were ready as we had a few people who arrived later. Kyle even kept topping up our wine for us … the food and drinks were really lovely. Sam the manger was also super helpful and the whole team worked very hard, were professional great customer service and attention to detail. Thanks Zizzi’s

Came on the Sunday of bank holiday weekend. They had obviously been very busy. But staff were still helpful and polite. Only reason not 5 star was due to a small error on a pudding. But we enjoyed our food and it came quickly

My personal experience was rather poor for this place unfortunately. The party (four of us in total) I was with said their meals were either good or average. Mine was below average. The herb rolled pork belly was bland at best, the crackling was simply awful, potatoes were bland and the pork lacked flavour (particularly Herby flavour). Service was average, we didn't get the complimentary twists you used to have on the table, the waitress would lean over to give drinks rather than walking to the other side of the table. Just the basics were missing really. It's not cheap either, the bill coming to £130 for four to have mains and some garlic breads...won't be back I'm afraid.

Great food and service, but the toilets are ghastly.

Sorry to say this was one of the dirtiest restaurants I've been to in a while- the table was so sticky I couldn't bear to touch it and the toilets were vile. The food was however good and the staff friendly, but they directed us to a 'fast' pay QR option and after answering lots of questions and jumping through hoops to access the Wi-Fi (no regular reception) it crashed on the payment page and we had to ask for the bill anyway. Nowhere near as user-friendly as Wagamama or Wahaca's payment system. This same issue affected dietary requirements; on asking for gluten information I was directed to the QR code... which didn't work for us. I took a punt on something I thought couldn't possibly have gluten in and got confirmation of this.

Me and my friends came for a nice relaxed meal, our server Jess was sooo nice she gave us recommendations and food was super speedy.

Lovely spot outside in the sun overlookkng the square. PizA lush and quick, lots of vegan and GF options, ryen was friendly and chatty. Would recommend.

Great food. Atmosphere was very nice. Kids portions and meals were really good value for money. Service was outstanding and couldn’t fault our waitress. Went above and beyond.

Staff were patient, helpful and kind and that was just sorting out my phone to obtain a membership number. My wife and I had a brilliant lunch today and couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thanks to all staff especially the poor souls who helped me sort my phone out. Good news guys I have now managed to load my Zizzi club card into my wallet .

Food fantastic but spoiled by Toilets which are horrendous. Stained, obviously no one responsible for checking them let alone clean them. Don’t like sharing toilets with men.

We had a lovely experience at Zizzi in Dorchester. The waitress Jess was very accommodating and the rest of the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back :)

I had a pleasant lunchtime meal with my wife. We each had one of the salads and a glass of cider. The food was good and the staff were very welcoming. Only slight downside was the very small size of the portion of fries we ordered. I think they cost £4.75 and the amount of fries looked about the same as you would get in a Burger King meal.

Food and service was lovely we had an issue with using our Tesco vouchers and splitting the tab but Ella L was lovely and understanding and took the time to help us out.

3rd time visiting zizzis and second time having to get a discount on the bill. Waitress was so rude and sarcastic to us. Made us feel so uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to just leave. Don’t recommend going. However starters we had were super nice but main courses were not and we weren’t checked on at all.

Food was OK but the service was fantastic and Jess was very attentive considering there was alot of us.

First time ever at Zizzi. The venue is spacious inside, tables not crammed together, and additional seating outside. Great choice of food and drink. We chose 4 different starters and all were very tasty. I would say not to choose too many with bread included, not because they was anything wrong with them, but consider what you are having for mains. Two of us chose a pizza dish and they were huge, absolutely gorgeous, but huge. The others chose a king dessert. prawns and pasta dish, again served delightfully. Too full to even consider desserts. A truly wonderful evening. Our waitress Jess was polite, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. In fact all the staff were friendly. I thanked the chefs, well the two I saw, because without them we would be hungry. Service charge is not included in the bill but they deserve to be rewarded. Thank you for a great eating experience.

Izzie was super helpful and pleasant...

Lovely atmosphere, the tables are far away enough from eachother and restaurant is decorated in such a way that it doesn't feel claustrophobic. The staff are really friendly, we were greeted at the door and when they realised someone at the table had a food intolerance they were on it straight away. My daughter has a gluten intolerance and they had gluten free pasta available for all of the pasta dishes. I tried some of the GF pasta and it was as good at the non GF pasta. My daughter ate all her dinner which she doesn't usually do! They made sure to put GF stickers on all her food (even the dessert which wasn't a gluten containing dish anyway) this just showed me how much attention they were paying to our table as they were being so careful. We were thoroughly impressed. We will definitely be back.

Just had an amazing meal, Al fresco dining on a beautiful evening. Being coeliac, there is usualky such a small choice but at Zizis there is so much choice and all delicious. The lemon and blueberry cheesecake is amazing, the best dessert I have had in 4 years, since my diagnosis. The service was great and waitress was simply lovely. Can't wait to return

Had to sit outside even though empty tables inside. It was cold & windy. Would have been good to have the overhead heaters on. Izzie was a great server professional & attentive & she looked after us very well.

We visited on 18th May for my sons 12th birthday and Dean and his team went out of their way to make his birthday meal special. All the food came out hot and was extremely tasty. The mocktails were also delicious. Thankyou Dean for such a brilliant experience, we will definitely be back soon

Zizzi is around 20 miles away from us but we love to visit generally once a month. Dean is very customer focused and would be an asset to any company, the whole team here in Dorchester, work well together, creating the perfect mix of professional food service and friendly banter. My wife and I would most likely eat here most weekends if we lived closer.

Excellent service and lovely food, will call again when in Dorchester.
