The Granby Diner in West Dorset

Very cold environment. My food was tepid. A bit disappointing as my colleagues were hot. I don’t think I would eat here again. There was ample parking out front. The staff were polite and friendly.

Food delicious as always but wasn’t particularly warm.

Noooo! When did you start putting sultanas in the coronation chicken sandwiches? I know it’s part of the traditional recipe but I always ordered from here because you used to omit them and thus made it my fave to order. Wish there had been a recipe change note on the menu. Ah well, it was good while it lasted - will have to make my own from now. Everything else was lovely as usual.

Always choose the granby for Chinese and it’s always good quality, hot and delivered quick

Today was the worse takeaway we have ever had from the granby. It's usually lovely. But tonight everything tasted burned or vinegary. Foo yung, burnt eggs, badly in some spots. chicken fried rice was yellow 🤨 that's not normally yellow and tasted of burned oil. Curry sauce tasted burned. Dumpling burned badly on some of them. Salt and chilli tofu, hard, with no flavour at all except vinegar, so so vinegary, makes me think tofu is possibly off. Usually my favourite dish. The prawn toast was the only nice thing today. I am really disappointed as it is usually lovely from the granby. I don't know what has happened tonight to make it so bad, however it means I won't be ordering again for a while in the hope it gets sorted. Shame.

The food was excellent large portions freshly cooked but the diner is cold not very welcoming. It's a bit odd as it looks like a transport cafe. You help yourself to cutlery and servettes every table has tomato ketchup and brown sauce in a rack with salt and pepper ready for the daytime bacon butty and a mug of tea. Nothing changes for the evening Chinese restaurant. Good takeaway trade, portions are great and prices very reasonable. Strange but highly recommended for a good Chinese meal at a good price. Beers and wine available too.

very quick, was ready in less than 10min, clearly just microwaved, everything just warm. Prawn toast was thick and burnt. Crispy shredded beef wasnt crispy, soggy and cold. seaweed was very cold.

Best breakfast and the bubble and squeak bacon stack is not only incredible but value for money. If any one gives this place a bad review then they either got unlucky, have terrible taste or taste buds aren't working or they're people looking for a free meal etc. Everyone can have opinions and are entitled to them but if anyone says it's rubbish here they can get out! 😂 🙏💚

Went in for 2 breakfasts on Saturday, I had bubble and squeeze with bacon and poached egg covered in hollandaise sauce, hubby had fry up, it was delicious and very good value.

lovely food as always been ordering now for a year. But I must say everything has gone a little more salty. my dad couldnt actually eat the curry sauce And harldy no prawns in the king prawn curry.

We had a slight issue with the delivery but that was my fault and the delivery driver was great and sorted it out. The food was fantastic, we loved it all. I would highly recommend them, great chinese food! thanks

Incredible! I won’t be cooking for another two days! Never had chips with curry sauce this good but all of it was amazing - very happy hubby and son and love the fortune cookies! Lovely touch! Great variety of choices, lovely veggie options including veggie “chicken” - and very generous portions. I don’t think we will go anywhere else for a Chinese take away now - I’d heard they were good but needed to check them out!

Chinese takeaway. Lovely tasty food, big portions with plenty of meat. By far the best Chinese in Weymouth give it a go you won't be disappointed.

This is mine and my daughters treat every time we stay in Weymouth, it's the best Chinese we've found. Food always seems exceptionally fresh, good quality, well cooked and deluvered lovely and hot. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, we ordered sweet and sour chicken chicken balls, half a crispy duck, portion was huge (4 people) Highly recommend.

My food all tasted like oil and my pancake rolls were burnt and hollow even the prawn crackers were stale and soft the lemon chicken was very sweet and very dark in colour (brown) the rice was ok but unfortunately after putting the sweet sauce on it I couldn’t eat it shame to coz usually their very good

Went here for lunch on my partner's birthday as many other places are closed on a Tuesday in the area. I had phoned to check the latest we could arrive as didn't want to be rushed (said 2.30pm close on website), told by lady to arrive probably by 2, we got there at least by 1.45. Had to go to the bar/till a couple of times to ask a couple of questions, the lady owner had her back to me and seemed put out to answer me each time so felt awkward to start. I ordered a portion of spring rolls, chicken curry and sweet and sour chicken and drinks, all paid for at the start. I went to sit back down and a guy came around us sweeping up! Our food came, my curry first then a few minutes later the starter arrived with my partner's main! All delivered by the lady owner. The guy was finishing sweeping up as we started our meal and shortly after came out with a mop and bucket of strongly smelling cleaning fluid! So we sat trying to eat the meal whilst smelling flash or similar! Unbelievable. We got halfway through and tried to get attention to take the rest with us but the owner had already left and we managed to get the chefs attention when he came out of the kitchen. He was very nice and I have to say so was the food but the rest not so.

Ordered a Saturday night chinese food delivery. Food arrived VERY fast, and way ahead of the time given by Just Eat... which suited us just fine, but there may be circumstances when a more accurate delivery time would be beneficial... Food was plentiful, very hot, fresh and delicious. The prawn crackers and fortune cookies were greatly appreciated. One of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever had, and I will now be a returning customer! Thank you 😊

House curry was cold and was so bland it tasted of nothing

It is easy to park there. The lady boss is kind. The food is very delicious, especially the crispy chili beef. You must try that dish.

Unfortunately the delivery guy was waiting at the door for a little bit, but estimated delivery time was between 18.35-19.00, he was already at the door at 18.15, maybe for the future it’s an idea to adjust the delivery time on here or give a quick call? I wasn’t expecting it this early.
