Great food and delivery. Fish very good quality

Very poor food was just warm, batter on the fish was very overcooked. Not enjoyable and expensive. Could not eat the batter.

I always order from here lovely food the fish is to die for , my order was missing 2 items but they gave me extra and redlivered it which was very kind so thankyou , highly reccomend.

As regular customers here we’ve just had the worst service and food since they opened ! The plaice and sausage and chips we ordered were not ready for collection at 6.30pm as requested. The staff then couldn’t find the plaice and left me waiting until 6.50 pm !! The food was cold not good considering the price. You would have thought that with a new Codfathers fish and chip shop just a stones throw-away they would have upped there game to keep up with the competition! But obviously not !! Sort it out guys or we’ll be going elsewhere in future

We travel in from Bristol most weekends as we have a caravan at Pebble Bank. It’s the best fish & chips ever… great service, especially Diamond who is very knowledgeable and is always recommending new food to try.

Order from here regularly and food is always amazing! Really quick delivery and always lovely and fresh. When ordering in store staff are always quick and very polite. Best chippie in Weymouth

3 lads and fryer working Sat 16.11.2024 were great. One young chap overheard our conversation and began upselling items - good on him! Great food, great staff, can’t beat a Daniels. Looking forward to trying the battered pig in blanket!!

Best chippy around with amazing hospitality . Fish was very light and crispy , chips were golden and fluffy and the curry sauce was sensational :) yum yum

We are regulars to Daniel’s in Chickerell so much so that when we arrive they don’t even need to ask what we want - they just prepare it! The team are always friendly and calm even when it’s mega busy in the summer season. The food is always hot, very tasty and our daughter has an obsession with their Ferrero Roche milkshakes. We can highly recommend Daniel’s in Chickerell :)

Just treated myself to seabass and chips was absolutely delicious thank you a real treat and the light batter was lovely.

food quality was poor fish over cooked , could taste oil in batter fish dry . there was no salt and vinegar, chips were what looked like scraps . very poor

waited over an hour, The time kept changing every 20mins. I've been a regular here and and in the past had few things go wrong but let it slide as its usually nice. This time i ordered chips and cheese and paid separately for beans so over £10 for chips cheese and beans, only for the cheese to be missing . ive been refused a refund for this. I'm not happy paying £9 for just chips. Of which I wanted the difference refunded. but was refused even after pictures being sent. Regular no more.

We go to Daniels at Chickeral every Saturday lunchtime and buy 4 meals for the family The staff are so friendly and helpful and Diamond makes us laugh each time we go We have recommended the shop to others because food hot and tasty and made to feel welcome plus they remember are order each week Jason and Diamond Mr Alan Burt

It was ok, chips were a bit soft for my liking.

only issue was I ordered a lemon coke and was given a lemon Fanta, not the end of the world though 🙂

Really disappointed today, delivery kept getting delayed, the delivery person got lost and my son had to go and find him, then when it finally came chips were anemic and greasy, there was more butter than roll, there was only 6 scampi instead of 9 & the mint matchmaker milkshake didn’t have any flavour. Probably the worst I’ve had from here, hopefully a one off, as I usually love this place.

Great set up, easy to order, run like a well oiled machine, super friendly staff. Food was amazing, great tasting fish in a crispy batter, well cooked chips and good value.

I go here a lot and it is usually spot on but today oh dear we were taking it to eat by the sea and we got there fish was greasy, the chips were clumped together not in a grease proof square so the paper was stuck to the surface of all the chips asked for salt and vinegar I could taste none on either the fish or chips for the cost which is high twice what I pay in Norfolk for fresh fish and chips it was of a low standard this time

The food is always good quality, tasty, good value for money. The staff in all 3 Daniels Fish and Chip shops in my local area all have good hard working staff. That all seem to be very well organised. Have extremely good people skills. Which is a big bonus. I frequently go to the shop at Chickerell in Weymouth. Long may there continue to be a Daniels Fish and Chip shop it's the best

Ordered by phone for pick-up at 6:30. Arrived on time but order was only prepared once we'd paid and it took several prompts before they would do it. Cook was giving instructions to the counter staff that an unmarked box contained a cheeseburger, and the other unmarked contained a burger. How, with the pressure they were under, they were expected to remember that is beyond me, especially since the container was cardboard. Had the cook never heard of a pen? Chips were dry, ssusage in the 'battered sausage' may have had a meet-up with batter in the dim and distant past but it obviously hadn't lasted. Still charged us for the batter though. Fish was very good but service and issues with the other food means we won't use again.

Very poor this time. You could count the chips in the tray. Not even enough for a child. Also very undercooked and no salt.

Order was a complete disaster they phone said no choc melt the when it came I requested chip no vinegar as can’t even stand the smell let alone the taste and it came swamped in vinegar so to make a meal out of what they sent means I have got to cook chips so phone them all the said sorry we are closed we can’t do nothing I want this whole meal fully refunded this is a joke

We pre ordered our food, two hours in advance, for delivery at 6.30pm. I kept receiving updates amending tje delivery times. Last update said 8.10pm! I called the shop and they told me that they had no JustEat driver as there was a local shortage. 3 very hungry children. The shop did, very kindly, call just eat and arrangendelivery eventually but very very stressful. Should have just cooked at home!

Absolutely useless young kids working in shop, asked for curry and didn't get it. Also asked for gravy and got another mushy peas. How hard is it to get an order right. Never going back, also messing around at front of till making fun of people in back. Order 19862.

Huge portions, too big actually...it would be nice to be able to order a half portion. Quite greasy and they forgot to add our salt and vinegar but to be fair they were very busy.

The meal was superbly cooked. The fish batter was really light and crispy

The food was good but the service was very bad. Not sure why we waited and people after us got their food before us. The chef even asked other customers what they needed but not even acknowledged us. When you asked their was not apologies the person said I quoted " 104 will do it in a minute and turned to her colleague and said do 104". All paid customers should be treated the same. Is it because of our skin colour....

Ordered on line for collection 6.15 still had to wait till 6.30pm for food need to stop delivery as it seems the Orders come first went up to counter 3 times to ask about order old man behind counter very rude and replyed I'm on it but definitely was not need better staff as young lad didn't know what he had to do
