I went out for a drive to find somewhere different to eat and came across this place. It's nicely out of the way, the service was great and so was the food and it's a pet friendly place. I would definitely recommend.

Exceeded expectations in every way. The facilities here for kids are second to none, and I cannot emphasise that enough. We went for a weekend and it really wasn’t busy although I think the hotel was fully booked. The bowling lanes, billiards room and loads of spaces were generally available. The staff are incredible. They are so lovely and wonderful with kids, you can tell they’re passionate about giving kids a special time and helping families make special memories. We had Maya serve us a few times at dinner and she’s just wonderful. But really everyone is, it’s a real strength for the hotel. This hotel is absolutely oriented around children and families. You couldn’t stay anywhere better with your little ones. Any parent with young children owes it to themselves to try this hotel even if they’re sceptical, it’ll be a game changer. We saw some less-than-favourable reviews of the food before arriving and I’ve no idea what drove that. The food is wonderful. I challenge you to find a better hotel breakfast anywhere, it’s absolutely delicious. Under 2yr children eat free, yet they still get a whole fillet of salmon, beef ragu etc. I can say even that was delicious because our little one couldn’t finish it so I did! Katie provided massages for both me and my wife whilst out there. She did a wonderful job. Speaking for myself, I wanted a proper deep tissue massage with a bit of relaxation and it was exactly that. Days later I’m still feeling the benefits and my body is flushing the released toxins. Very much recommend the spa if you get a chance. And you can do! There’s an Ofsted-registered nursery on site, and it’s wonderful, and you get 2 hours childcare free every day! Brilliant! Superb hotel. We will be visiting a sister hotel in the New Forest before the year’s out and the grandparents will be invited this time. Just absolutely wonderful. We are so thankful for the wonderful experience the team provided. 5* with enthusiasm.

Great place to drop in for a drink, although the food looked well presented and tasty

The accommodation and facilities are great. The staff are lovely and very attentive. Can’t fault it at all. For kids this is the perfect getaway. They have marshmallows round the fire, short movies for toddlers in the cinema room and an Easter egg hunt. They also have a lovely clean swimming pool with good showering facilities. The restaurant is quite overpriced roughly £35-40 each for starters and main course and that’s not including drinks. Bottles of beer are £7 and wine is £10 a glass or £45 a bottle. If you want to go somewhere to meet other families this place is great.

An absolute treat if you are parents looking for a relaxing break with little ones in tow. So much to do for the kids - we are still in awe of the huge games room (perfect to keep them happy in the cold weather!), as well as skittles alley (low tech bowling), movie nights with popcorn, pool, oh yes and FREE CHILDCARE! For the grown ups, the hotel itself is beautiful with lots of space to unwind, there are lovely walks from the hotel (if you can be bothered to leave), even spa treatments (Katie gave a fabulous massage). We were all so sad to leave!

We’re local to Weymouth and heard about the Santa experience. It did not disappoint! It was our 2 year olds first Santa experience and it was magical. The team meet and greet were amazing. Carys was great with our little boy John. Her customer service skills were amazing and she was fantastic with the children. The setup walking through to meet Santa was amazing, it really felt magical and was an experience we’ll certainly remember forever. The play area afterwards is amazing and the facilities are second to none. Thank you to the Moon fleet team and special shout to Carys for giving a little boy a truly wonderful start to Christmas.

Great. 5 year old loved it. Our 3rd hotel in the LFH group. Rooms and hotel recently renovated. Game zone (trampolines, indoor football, table tennis, pool, snooker arcade games) brilliant for our son and the best of the hotels so far. Halloween activities in childrens club top notch (party in the Den; Spooky Hunt around the grounds). Staff couldn't be more helpful. And the food significantly better than the other 2 stays in LFH group - fresh fish available each night (red mullet, Dover sole, bream) Overall, it does exactly what it offers, and does it well. Centred around kids. Lots to do (including nearby if you want day trips). Yes, it is pricey. The pool area could do with a refresh in the next few years though it is big and fairly warm and works well. The food service can be a bit slow though is very friendly. And the menu isn't fine dining - but doesn't pretend to be. But we are fortunate enough to be able to and willing to pay for all the benefits for a short stay. And on that basis it was excellent. By way of comparison, it reminded us of the Fowey hotel (also recently renovated) and much more comfortable and activity-plentiful than the Ickworth hotel in the LFH group.

The location is great, views are amazing. The staff are excellent, always on hand. The food needs work, it's not what you would expect. I was told separately that they go through a lot of chefs! There are parts of the hotel that are looking tired, but don't let that put you off. Lots to do and very very dog friendly.

Great place if you take your family, it won’t be a quiet stay ! We went for the fabulous location and views and was not disappointed at all in that. A beautiful restored Manor House with fantastic activities. Overpriced restaurant for what you receive (the ‘posh’ fish & chips looked disappointing for £28) and the self service breakfast was very chaotic, I much prefer (and expect) waited service for £260 per night. All the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Management can learn a lot from The Kings Arms in Dorchester !

Absolutely beautiful experience at Moonfleet Manor. The rooms were stunning and location exquisite. My only qualm was the breakfast service on our first morning was slow. The spa was neat and professional. The lounge areas were open, free, warm and welcoming. Overall a lovely weekend.

Priciest coffee in the South west? Having covered over 550 miles walking the South West Coast Path. A decent coffee in a nice location not too far from the path is usually a nice treat. However it takes the edge off the enjoyment a tad when the establishment is charging over a tenner for two coffees. Wow! You can certainly take the award for most expensive coffee on the swcp, possibly in the South West. Completely unnecessary to be taking advantage. Not that great a brew either. If hiking the swcp from Abbotsbury, I'd advise grabbing some baked treats at Bellenies Abbotsbury and giving Moonfleet manor a miss as a coffee stop. Obviously can't comment on anything further such as food or accommodation.

Looks a little jaded from the outside but the rooms were very clean, modern and large. Dropped 1 star because the bar food was just okay and the drinks a little pricey.

Always had a good Chinese from Here. Sadly tonight’s was awful. I’m sure it’s been reheated. The beef was black and tough, the egg fried rice was hard.
