Lovely setting for fantastic food

Freshly made pasta. Really friendly people here, delicious sauce, good choices and central location.

I was on a business trip today, left the house early and was looking for a snack, passed this cafe but had my dog in his backpack, immediately they welcomed us in and the staff were AMAZING. My dog is elderly, been poorly but they made such a fuss of him and gave him a treat which he loved. I ordered a coffee & toastie, both of which were made to perfection, just how I like it. Genuinely thee nicest, friendly, happy staff, made our morning and set us up for the day. I can’t recommend enough and we will definitely be a returning customer when we’re in the area again. Thank you.

Love this place. Great selection of bread / sourdoughs, cakes and sandwiches. Everything I've had from this place has been of exceptional quality, even a plain little baguette is a joy in itself. Prices are very keen, and the staff seem very amiable. Highly recommended.

We have used the pub for many years but having moved away we made a special trip back and weren't disappointed. The owners have now added the 'Snuggery' which is a beautiful self contained holiday let which is in the old part of the pub. We were greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Vic and Paulette [the owners] and shown to our room which consisted of a lounge, kitchen and beautiful bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Once settled in we were made to feel welcome in the bar where we had drinks and caught up before sitting down to a wonderful meal. My partner and I both had the steak and ale pie with fresh, perfectly cooked veg and crispy chips [some of which kept finding their way onto my partners plate!!] - followed by sticky toffee pud for him and cheese cake for me! The service is warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the team. After a few more drinks we went up to our room and had a fab nights sleep before heading down in the morning to a roaring log fire and freshly cooked breakfast. Needless to say we didn't want to leave!

Very nice food a lovely little gem hidden in the countryside. Anyone travelling in their direction should definitely stop off and try the delicious menu they have on offer

He visitado el café en varias ocasiones y la variedad y calidad de comidas ligeras, desde bocadillos hasta algo caliente es fantástico. Realmente buena para la comida para llevar. Si me funcionaba localmente sin duda visita varias veces a la semana y vienen aquí para llevar bocadillos para reuniones en la oficina.Hay siempre una cálida bienvenida y el servicio es rápido.Nada igual en Taunton - ¡buena suerte!

Better than any Carvery I've had more like a traditional home cooked roast dinner with locally grown vegetables

We visited on a Sunday in August. This is a modern fresh subway and is well laid out in a biggish space. There are views of the river from the restaurant which is nice. Staff were pleasant and food was as expected. The Toilet was very clean. All in all a great visit.

At last found a great fish and chips in our area, what a great food truck excellent fish and chips also tryed, off their special's menu crab cakes with sweet chilli sauce, full of dark grab meat highly recommend if you love crab will definitely use again. Just to say they only take cash
