We were surprised to see the community cafe still open at around 3.30pm on a Sunday, so we thought we’d give it a try. All we can say is, call in if you’re passing as the cakes are just delicious. All are home made by residents in the village who take it in turns to run the cafe. It’s so cheap as well!

Lovely lunch. Great little place. We called in as we pass weekly to visit my mum locally. Well run by friendly volunteers. Reminiscing with Liz added to the enjoyment.

We came across this wonderful little cafe today when we decided to go ‘across country’ rather than via the A358/A303 and what a great find. Lovely cakes and tea. Can recommend the almond cake! Very pleasant and polite staff too. Throughly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the area. We will certainly return when we next head down that way.

We’ve been visiting here for several years. The coffee shop is run by volunteers, all of whom are really nice and enjoy what they do. It’s such a relaxed friendly place to have a coffee and slice of homemade cake, and at very reasonable prices

We've visited this little shop several times when staying in North Curry. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the cakes delicious. As a bonus they carry a small but interesting stock of greetings cards and some very attractive local crafts.

Came across this delightful community cafe by chance on our way home to Hampshire after a holiday in Somerset. Lovely atmosphere, we managed to get a table oursite in the sunshine and enjoyed this delightful pitstop to fill our stomachs. The refreshments included fresh homemade cakes but we opted for some toasties, beans on toast and bread pudding with custard. All this served by lovely friendly and accommodating people. The prices were extremely competitive and we walked away after hot and cold drinks and 2 toasties, beans on toast and bread pudding with custard for only £15 -

Visit this little cafe for a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of home-made cake. It's run by friendly ladies who make everyone welcome and can help with local information. They also sell some attractive greetings cards as well as locally-made pottery, crafts and pictures - in fact it's amazing what they can fit into quite a small space.

This was our second visit to the Coffee Shop. (We live in the USA.) We could not wait to come back here. The volunteer ladies make you feel so welcome. The shop is small with 3 tables and chairs. There is more seating outside. This is a dog-friendly place – they always have bowls of water outside for the dogs. We enjoyed the Roasted Butternut Squash and Red Pepper Soup, Creamy Tomato Soup, Jacket Potato with baked beans and cheese, and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. We actually came back again the next day and enjoyed a late snack. This time, I had a bowl of Creamy Tomato Soup. My husband had a lemon cake. The three of us shared two Toasted Tea Cakes with butter. Oh my, they were so good. We look forward to our next visit!

What a great place, and a great idea. A community run cafe serving home made cake and soup washed down with good coffee and tea. Add to this warm, friendly volunteer staff and a nice range of community supplied art, jewellery and books and you have a wonderful place to take a break. Well worth a visit.

This was a chance find on day out where we got a little lost and off the beaten track. It was mid afternoon...so what better than a cream tea? My OH had coffee and got his own little 'cafetiere' of fresh coffee. My choice...earl grey in a one person teapot. The choice of cakes was good - but we went for a scone, clotted cream and jam - at a bargain price! All was served in lovely white china. Costs are kept down because this is run by volunteers who earn points for the time they work. The profit is divided, pro rata, between the charities picked by these volunteers. What a great idea! The volunteers were helpful and just a delight to talk with....so enthusiastic. There is a small indoor area and small terrace, plus a little shop with locally made gifts. Have already made a second visit!

Lovely little tea place serving sandwiches and home made cakes. Delicious clotted cream scones were eaten with relish. The only thing that disappoints is that they do not sell ice creams and have a limited menu.

Stopped off here for a coffee break on the way to John O'Groats with a bunch of cyclists having tracked down the cafe on the Internet. We were not disappointed - great coffee, superb cakes and a lovely welcome from the volunteers who run the place. In addition the prices offer insanely good value - coffee and cake for 10 people was £30 and we bunged a bit extra in for the pot.Brilliant place to visit if you're in the area.

This cafe is run totally by volunteers, with all profits going to chosen charities. All sorts of teas and coffees, and has an amazing array of home-made cakes on display. Hot food also on the menu, which included home-made soup.Although there are tables outside there is not much sitting room inside, but it's incredible value for money!

Superb food - wonderful hosts & a friendly, unpretentious setting. I have to say this is the best meal I’ve had in years. Surely this is the best South Indian cooking in the South West - if not the UK. We left the restaurant on a real high. Thank you so much for a really special evening. Everything was first class ❤️

One of the best Indian meals I have had. There was a huge selection on the menu and choosing was the hardest thing to do Be adventurous and try something new.

This is the best Indian food within at least 30 miles in any direction. I have been to so many different indian restaurants and take aways from Bristol, to Dorchester, to Minehead and everywhere in between and yet Blue Mango are still the best by far. Their food is always sensational in taste, freshest ingredients and meats, never disappoints and always leaves us craving more. Every weekend, our treats are a Blue Mango and although you can no longer eat in the restaurant, the food is still superb and the staff, boss and chef are wonderful and friendly as always. We choose to collect our food as we enjoy speaking to the lovely boss and chef when in and of course Niki in front of house and even the delivery driver who is always a laugh when he's there. Could not fault their service or their food one iota. Thank you so much Blue Mango for years of great food and service. Catherine
