I think it is great to have this Cafe here now - I was about to attend the service of a family friend, not of an age you would normally expect to hear someone has died, and had known him all my life so very sad and nervous about attending the service, especially as I was on my own. The bright welcome made me feel so much better and I was able to sit and munch and look out of the window and psych myself up before finding the relevant chapel, which the ladies serving were also able to help with and point me in the right direction. It helped to wind down after the service (which was lovely - the funeral celebrant had really familiarised himself with the background) with a glass of wine afterwards whilst I waited for my taxi. Nice selection of food and speciality teas as well

The guy there is soon helpful the food is good and nothing is ever to much trouble

Always have a great kebab from Ali Babas! Everything is so fresh including the salad. I recommend the chicken shish with chilli sauce - outstanding!

Setting is lovely and the Sunday roast we had was very good. My elderly mum had the children 's portion of sea bass which was sufficient for her. The banana banoffee pie was amazing but the Eton mess was underwhelming Waiting staff were not as attentive as I would have liked. We were there early so it was not busy but I struggled to get their attention at times

The food was nice, good-sized portions with good pricing. We had a large group booking and were accommodated nicely. We were pre warned that they only had a small kitchen, but they did a good job getting the food out efficiently. People commented on how lovely the ham was, great fish and chips and nice pork belly. I had the goat curry, it was ok.

Great proper pub , wanna go back to your childhood, coke and packet of crisps. Great park for kids

Not eaten in here and only ever been in drinking. always a decent place to meet friends and have a pint. been done up a few times before and since being re-named back to the Trident from the Leap. a good pub.,

As usual excellent food, friendly bar staff. Very comfortable relaxing surroundings . Will definitely by back in the very near future.

Ok for the price. Had the large full English, Bacon and sausages was nice, mushrooms was nice but small quarter cust and only a small amount maybe 2 actually mushrooms, fried egg was overcooked hard and rubber. Fried bread was nice and black pudding ok. Comes with a tea or coffee, coffee was instant I would preferred the option to upgrade to properly coffee. Toilets smelled strongly of urine and I had to clean dried fecal matter of the toilet seat.

New manager and really lovely food, service and atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommend the children’s pizza. Love the cheesy chips sides and the 4 layer chocolate fudge cake is “happy making” I’m told.

Changed owners in January 2024 and is now called Madison's. Food excellent.

Lovely little cafe. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly service. Ideal stop on journey off M4. Will return. My son loved the food.

Food is excellent we go here a lot only down fall last night there was big group in and it was very noisy we had to talk really loud between ourselves to hear .
