Excellent Sunday lunch. Very tasty, plenty of food, staff lovely, calm and very accommodating of our big group. Ambiance was very relaxed, looking out over the golf course. Highly recommend it.

Cute pub, great service and friendly staff. Their pizzas are great.

Seating is a bit Cramped, But food was Very Nice.

The family had a great day here.I had a mixed grill.my daughter had a burger & chips her partner had a steak.We got to meet the family who run the pub .kev is the most excellent chef who has loads & loads of experence starting off in london under a famous chef there in one of the top hotels.I can assure you you will not be disappointed if you go there.

We went for late lunch and were told we didn't have a booking even though I had an email and a text message. The person behind the bar looked very fed up that we had turned up even though there was only four other people in the restaurant. She just stood staring at us! I said can we be served and was met with a fed up expression and told we'd have to hurry up an order Sunday roast even though she didn't know what we wanted and they weren't closing until late evening. I asked for a drinks menu and she said there wasn't one so I asked how I was supposed to know what drinks they serve and what prices? She said I would have to look in the fridge and she would have to tap it into the till to find out the price. We were made to feel very unwelcome. No hello, no smiles, nothing. Just made to feel like an inconvenience. Terrible customer service. The food was okay. Our first visit this year and we will not be back.

Now called ACORN WESTERLEIGH. Namek and Richard have done a great job with completely changing this establishment. Now an Italian restaurant open from 0830 - 230pm and 5-10pm in the evenings with a great menu! A must try for everyone!

Over half full on a Monday lunch time, so well thought of locally. Good solid pub food at reasonable prices. Good beer. Lovely staff. Our server knew the gluten free option.

Warm welcome by gentleman at bar at front of house. He booked us in and took us to our table, and explained how everything would run. He was sociable without being over the top, and then took drinks order. The lady Helene who served us was extremely pleasant and helpful. She was, like all the staff very efficient and we were not waiting long at any time. The food was extremely good, and the puddings unique and unusual, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was our first visit to the Golden Heart, and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, outlook and rooed. We have already booked for Valentines,. so you should assume that we were very happy with our experience
