This take-away food truck makes a superb burger with cheese, bacon, salad and choice of sauce for just £4.00. Excellent burger at an excellent price. They also do Hot dogs, Breakfast baps etc, but I've not tried these. Everything is cooked to order but the short wait is well worth it and the food is hot.

I'd thought I would share my experience I had here at the cafe. The service was very nice and friendly, made you feel welcome. I ordered a mug of tea and one of their hot sandwiches or toastie unsure of the name. The tea was lovely, something to drink whilst waiting for my order. There was a couple of things that was a little annoying. So hopefully this is some feedback from a customer point of view. Having the radio on was nice. Having a listen while chillin' was spot on, but then you can here the other radio in the kitchen on a different station at the same time. Very distracting. Singing out loud whilst wandering around the cafe and cooking I don't think customers want to hear your amazing vocals mate lol. A bit off putting really. The hot sandwich that came out, for the money, I was expecting something a little better. In between the bread was ham and grated cheese. On top the bread was some sort of sauce with grated cheese on top the sauce. This was then grilled to melt the cheese into the sauce. It didn't look appetising. There was a little side salad and a mini bowl with some crisps in it. (Side Note) Maybe ask the customer what flavour they would like! When eating the sandwich, you have the hot melted part on top then the cold grated cheese and ham at the bottom. It wasn't very nice whilst chewing. There was a bit of an after taste which I didn't like also. Overall, it's a nice little cafe. Very friendly but from what I had eaten I wouldn't eat there again unfortunately. But I will pop back in for a coffee or tea again though. That was nice. P.S. Let me know if you sign up for the X-Factor lol

We had a lovely family Sunday roast which was excellent. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. We were looked after by Max who was extremely efficient, courteous and friendly. There were 10 of us but nothing was too much trouble, making our experience at the Chequers wonderful. We would highly recommend the Sunday lunch and we shall be returning very soon!

Quick service and poor quality of drink, had a chocolate fudge Brownie frappe no coffee with cream and oat milk and a preference and it's like water and not with cream but light whip and normal milk and I'm not happy

I just spent £40 on food for me and my sister. Hers was fine but when I open mine I realise I have the complete wrong order. I then message uber to sort this out and they offer me a refund of £1 on a £15 sandwich. I then call subway to try and sort it. The manager I spoke to was nice enough but I was told that I can’t get my money back.

Hazel was absolutely brilliant. She was so warm, welcoming and so accommodating to our needs. Fantastic friendly member of staff. We almost left due to my mum being a very fussy eater and not finding something on the menu for herself but Hazel helped us get exactly what my mum wanted to eat and we couldn’t appreciate it more. Thanks hazel!

After a late-morning visit to a local cinema, it was well-gone 14:00 when the film ended. We were hungry for a snack lunch and wanted something quick, and nearby. This branch of M&S (with a café) is only a short drive from the cinema. We were able to park easily in the capacious carpark (maybe ‘carpacious’). So, we were soon ordering two smoked-bacon sourdough rolls each with a large cup of Americano Coffee (with hot milk). The ‘Senior Barista’ offered us miniscule jugs of hot milk, not even enough to make a small coffee suit. So, we asked her if the hot milk could be poured directly into our cups, and this was done. I did get the distinct impression that the lady in question seemed not particularly happy to oblige us. Certainly the quantity of milk, we did have, would have easily filled six of the ‘miniscule’ jugs. Maybe there was a cost implication? We would, however, have been happy to pay extra. Food is cooked-to-order and delivered to tables, so were given a tall plastic sign (like a single-fold birthday card) to display on our table with a number ‘26’ on it. This just would not stand-up, and I had to bend the sign along the fold to narrow the angle to make it do so. Our coffee was not-so-great; it lacked the bitter caramel flavour that we look for. Do not assume that was due to the quantity of milk; as we have similar ratios of milk to coffee at home and in other cafés, without losing the flavours we look for. Our bacon rolls were great; hot, plenty of good smoked-bacon, and a fresh sourdough bun. Just what we wanted, especially as we had found-out where the brown sauce sachets were kept (by the kitchen servery).
