This take-away food truck makes a superb burger with cheese, bacon, salad and choice of sauce for just £4.00. Excellent burger at an excellent price. They also do Hot dogs, Breakfast baps etc, but I've not tried these. Everything is cooked to order but the short wait is well worth it and the food is hot.

Best around. Nothing too much trouble.

Lovely little cafe. Very clean. Nice toilet. We had coffee, tea, apple juice and some gingerbread Valentine's cookies. Very enjoyable. Thanks go to the lady behind the counter for giving our grandson a yellow straw...made his day as yellow is his favourite colour!!! Well worth a visit.

A good local pub, shame the opening hours are not a little longer

Lovely food, venue and atmosphere can’t knock any of those. Max our primary waiter was lovely, warm and welcoming. After starters were taken cutlery was not replaced so when mains came asked member of staff (not max) for a new set of cutlery when mains came and unfortunately were forgotten about which after some time resulted in us pinching another set from a vacant table. Partners food was lukewarm by the time he started eating. This was the only let down, food was great tho!

Only came because of the reviews, lovely pub on the river, staff and service was top notch, but unfortunately the roast on this day (2nd march) was a let down, place was very busy so totally understand things happen. But everything else 5 star.

Not cheap but good food and great sevice

We have persevered with the Chequers over our 15 years of living just a few hundred metres away. We popped in midweek to support our local restaurant despite some very poor service & meals over the years ! This was our final time of eating here ! We done the midweek special two courses, at this point I want to add that nowhere on adverts or menus does it say small plates or the meals will be reduced size ! The starters came and they were pleasant and as advertised, the main came and we had mussels and the steak & chips! I didn’t expect greatness or Michelin star food but I didn’t expect a children’s portion ! It was insulting ! The waiter almost threw the food down as he probably suspected I’d have mentioned this ! No one came to ask until we had finished, which took a couple of minutes. I was asked was the food ok and I said no I am hungry, the mussels consisted of 16 mussels yes sixteen. No bread to mop up the few tablespoons of sauce with them, the steak was exactly 3 inches by 3 inches this was served with three strands of rocket and approximately 20 fries! There is no justice for insulting people with servings of this size!! An 8 year old would have left hungry even if they are both meals ! They eventually after a silly resistance to our displeasure and a minor argument agreed to charge for one meal and this was only because I said I’d refuse to pay ! Insulting and ludicrous way to treat customers !

Lovely Place , kind staff and great food . Overall 10/10 !

I came after lunch just before 2pm. It took 16 minutes from queuing to receiving my order when the queue wasn't even that long. Only two members of staff were working meaning any empty table had trays full of dirty crockery as the queue never lessened so they were unable to clean. I can't fault the two women working as it isn't their fault they are understaffed. They were doing the best given the circumstances. Please hire someone else to help alleviate the amount of time people have to spend queuing and make the place more clean and welcoming.

Ordered 9 chicken bites got 6, ordered large waffle fries, had about 6 “chips”, ordered waffle sides the box was basically empty!!! Ordered a footlong beef dipper a 6” wrap was provided, everything was freezing cold and soggy, had to put in the air fryer to reheat and crisp up, also had to order extra food (from a different establishment) as what was provided was an absolute joke!!! Will never order from bristol longwell green again called about 6 times no answer an uber refunded a pathetic £2.50!!!!! Absolutely fuming when i spent £25…the picture shows apparently “large waffle fries PLUS a side of waffle fries” the “footlong BUT NOT REALLY dipper” and “4/6 chicken bites” when 9 were ordered

Fab food. Excellent service from Ben, couldn't do enough for us, very happy and charismatic!

After a late-morning visit to a local cinema, it was well-gone 14:00 when the film ended. We were hungry for a snack lunch and wanted something quick, and nearby. This branch of M&S (with a café) is only a short drive from the cinema. We were able to park easily in the capacious carpark (maybe ‘carpacious’). So, we were soon ordering two smoked-bacon sourdough rolls each with a large cup of Americano Coffee (with hot milk). The ‘Senior Barista’ offered us miniscule jugs of hot milk, not even enough to make a small coffee suit. So, we asked her if the hot milk could be poured directly into our cups, and this was done. I did get the distinct impression that the lady in question seemed not particularly happy to oblige us. Certainly the quantity of milk, we did have, would have easily filled six of the ‘miniscule’ jugs. Maybe there was a cost implication? We would, however, have been happy to pay extra. Food is cooked-to-order and delivered to tables, so were given a tall plastic sign (like a single-fold birthday card) to display on our table with a number ‘26’ on it. This just would not stand-up, and I had to bend the sign along the fold to narrow the angle to make it do so. Our coffee was not-so-great; it lacked the bitter caramel flavour that we look for. Do not assume that was due to the quantity of milk; as we have similar ratios of milk to coffee at home and in other cafés, without losing the flavours we look for. Our bacon rolls were great; hot, plenty of good smoked-bacon, and a fresh sourdough bun. Just what we wanted, especially as we had found-out where the brown sauce sachets were kept (by the kitchen servery).

Absoloutly shocking and dirty in this cafe. Do they not have staff? Every single table is dirty full of dishes, the floor is dirty with rubbish, no tables cleaned. 2 staff behind till. It's disgusting, no hygiene. I ordered a sausage roll and the sausage roll looks like it's been there for days on a plate when the lady went to pass it to me I said I don't want that. That's awful. So replaced it for chips. How is this even allowed to be this bad?
