I've been wanting to come here for ages and so decided to celebrate my little one turning 2 with a proper Sunday roast at a local pub with our immediate family. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. We were a table of 11 (plus a high chair and a newborn!) We were kindly given the Captain's Table in a private dining space which was perfect for us, visiting with our grandparents who struggle to hear conversation in busier environments. We were so fortunate not to be rushed at all. All the members of staff we met were so attentive, frequently checking our drinks were topped up and that we had everything that we needed. The food was delcious, and despite being a busy Sunday and a large table, was delivered not long after ordering! Between us all meats on the menu were sampled, and all were delicious. Lots of clean plates! A great kids/toddler menu too which was reasonably priced with high quality food. A fantastic experience all round and we will be back for sure for other occasions. Tucked away in a beautiful spot, not far from Keynsham/Bitton/Saltford etc,... well worth a visit! Thank you so much for making our celebrations for my son exactly how we wished!!!

Great pub with a fantastic beer garden. There used to me meerkats in an enclosure but have gone now. Perfect stop for motorcyclist or for cyclists on the Bristol to Bath cycle path as itās only a stones throw from Avon Valley Railway

X3 taco deal priced at Ā£12,50 but charged at Ā£14 without any explanation. The fillings had good flavour but rather on the stingey side. Chicken had run out so beef & pork only. Warned about a 40 minute wait which would have been fine but turned into an hour & 15. The 2 adults in our group suffered upset stomachs the following morning. Perhaps too much to be a coincidence. As far as pop ups go this one weāll have to avoid in future. Shame as we had high hopes.

The problem with a limited menu is just thatā¦.. Itās limited. If you are a regular visitor as we are, you quickly run out of choice. When we last visited there was no āSpecialsā available and that really narrowed the choice. They seem to serve what is available with random ingredients, for example, every time we order chicken it is served differently, the last time it was served with cold tomato slices, courgettes and a couple of small potatoes and a pesto type āSauceā. This was entirely different than the last time we ordered chicken. I may be wrong but it gives the impression that the chef serves up whatever is available on the day. We find the sandwich choices very strange, why not have a more traditional selection? We understand that the days of hugely extensive menus are probably over but if a limited menu is preferred by the business, it needs to be changed regularly or return customers will quickly not beā¦. Return customers. The prices are a little on the high side and waiting time is sometimes a problem, however, the staff are always pleasant and the manager is very polite and helpful. The actual location is lovely and the ambience of the pub is good. This review is subjective, but the consensus from our group is the menu needs more variety end should focus on more traditional food options.

On the A37, I think, but pretty much in the middle of nowhere, yet when we pulled in the car park was heaving. The cafe is a little expensive, offers panini's, baguettes and a small selection of hot lunches. No veggie fillings for the jacket potatoes oddly! The baguettes were huge and well filled. The food was fine but it lacked atmosphere despite a wall of pictures for sale and an appealing cat in the courtyard.

Visited here for dinner on 11/09 during a walking holiday. Nice decor and welcoming staff. I had a pint of Gem, and was able to use (their only) beer jug! Wine list was good and the pinot blush was approved by my partner. Starter portions were good, the pork bites were very nice as was the Bruschetta, then I had the burger and she had the Gnocchi. Both were good sized portions and very tasty! It was so friendly we popped back for a pint the following lunchtime and were recognised as soon as we walked in!

Always a pleasure to eat here & Sunday lunch is second to none. I had the trio of meats & it did not disappoint- tender & full flavoured Gloucester old spot pork, slow cooked beef & a very nice portion of chicken. As always- Luke and Toni the stars of the show. Great food, great drink & Great service!

Dunes cafe.& Shop very expensive coffee with a fine to go with it. Pity the shop owner doesn't tell you there's parking restrictions there.

I have visited this cafe on many occasions and it's always been busy, on this visit it was virtually empty despite being 11 o'clock. After watching the coffee being made I potentially could see why,and I wouldn't rush back. They made 2 coffees out of I gadget they use to put coffee into. So no wonder it tasted so weak. š¤ and the cake was dry. Disappointed customers
