No quiero volver. Todavía £ 7. 00 .

Lovely beach, with cafe, a pub etc. You can park really close so no need to carry that paddle board for miles.

Lovely beach. Plenty of parking but quite hostile charges for Motorhome parking. We arrived at 2:00 p.m and the charge was the same as coaches, £15.00. Absolutely exorbitant. Parking on a rough piece of land. The cafe on the beach was good. Good value for money.

With my Partner away visiting family, I’d had a busy and tiring day, so I decided not to self-cook my evening meal. I was also very hungry and I just needed a quality takeaway meal (preferably without burgers or pizza’s or curry). So, fish and chips from this ‘chippy’ was likely to please. I took the tortuous route, avoiding the currently closed A432 bridge over the M4, to the top of Winterbourne Down to queue for my supper. To be fair service was good and efficient for what is a prime time (18:30) and I was soon on my way home with my large haddock and half portion of chips. The haddock was beautifully firm, meaty and pure white. It was an impressively large piece of fish, and most probably would be classed as a ‘greedy portion’. I do not however eat any of the batter. Also as I have often pointed out to friends, family and other associates: I consider the batter as a container used to protect fish during cooking. That is in the same manner as tin foil or parchment is used to cook classic Italian cuisine such as ‘Pesce al Cartoccio’. The batter is often laced with the chip fat and is also (being made of flour) high in carbohydrates. To add to this carb-fest most “fish ‘n chip” suppers often come with an astonishingly large serving of chips: this ‘chippy’ is no exception. I always ask for a half an individual serving, but I was astonished to find that the serving I was given would have been too much for two large meals! I think it is just hugely wasteful and positively encourages people to act obesely. The fish was absolutely wonderful, but next time I call here for a “fish ‘n chip” supper I shall call for only a very small serving (a quarter of a single portion). I only ate what I needed but regretted the waste; the attached picture was what remained of my serving.

Great location and spacious rooms. Out of four meals ordered, two came out completely wrong—but rather than fix it, we were told a story and that it’d be another 20 minutes to get what we actually wanted. Oddly enough, it all added to the charm! Despite the mix-up, the food and atmosphere were great. Note : dog friendly restaurant.

Well cooked good quality food. Pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Good range on the menu. Not pretentious, only the things you look for in a pub lunch.

Absolutely gorgeous. We had Room 9 at the top of the house and it was really spacious. Everything was clean and as you would expect. Really chilled hotel, no staff in your face we were just left to get on with it which was brilliant. I will definitely stay again next time we're down this way. If you want 24 concierge it won't suit you but if you want a more relaxed approach it's perfect. Highly recommend.
