The best restaurants in St Peter and the Waterfront Plymouth South West

This was our 4th event that we have held at the custom house. As always, a fantastic night. From helping us set up to welcoming our guests, it was very professional. The service, the atmosphere, the staff were all first class. Special mention to Holly & Alexis who kept drinks flowing & tables clear. Holly was amazing making sure the grazing table was always topped up. My guests gave me lots of compliments about the staff & the venue. Thank you to Jo for always making sure things were going to plan. Lastly a big thank you to Levi, a star as always. If you’re looking for a venue for any occassion, this is your place. You won’t be disappointed & it’ll be a night to remember.

There are only two cubicles for the entire place. There’s always huge queues for the toilets, which are disgusting. The gents is just a sea of urine.

Was seen by the staff but totally blanked because her conversation was more important then her sale. Stood there for ages before I left. So rude

Have had a couple of birthdays there and have always enjoyed good food and our large group has been very comfortable.

Great for early doors drink, didn't have any food but what I saw look really nice, next time I'm in Plymouth the ship will be on my go to list for a drink and something to eat.

The whole evening for me and my partner were lovely, although being new our waitress sophie was very good and looked after us and was very warm and welcoming! Molly also took care of us and made the evening feel relaxing and comfortable throughout and she was nothing but attentive and happy. Can’t wait to be back soon as the food was incredible, and the staff are a credit!

Excellent service. Staff always pleasent and polite. Superb lunch best ever fish meal. Very reasonable priced. A must to visit.

Just can’t beat their burgers or Cajun sauce Ps can I have her after Halloween and return her every year lol

Last Saturday (9th Nov), we booked a table for a large group (18 people) for our Grandma's 90th birthday. Extended family came from all over the UK to celebrate her milestone and catch up after a long while not seeing each other. We had a wonderful evening and think it's worth telling you how great it was and why. Not only did the menu suit a very mixed bag of preferences with such variety, but it catered so well to our coeliac 7 year old niece. This is so important and great - there's often only a few options for her in various eateries and as she's so young, she can feel left out/sad about this. Her face lit up when she saw the option to have gluten-free calamari (her favourite!) and the team also went above and beyond by offering to make one of the not advertised GF options (halloumi burger) GF. Also on the food generally, everyone absolutely loved their dishes (the steaks went down very well and were cooked to perfection!). Also as a long-term tee-totaller I want to commend you on the range of alcohol-free options you have on offer, loved the AF Riesling! Now to Gordy. He was our main server for the night and made the night! He was friendly and welcoming, accommodating and patient with our rabble and incredible with our three little-uns. He was also so kind and funny with all of us, particularly our Grandma - he went out of his way to check in with her/make her laugh and make her feel special through the night. He also noted our 7 year old niece reading Harry Potter after dinner and made a point of telling her and my brother/sister in law how beautiful it is to see a child reading in a restaurant (presumably there's often a lot of phones/tablets involved!) - just demonstrating how attentive and lovely he is! Thank you team, and Gordy in particular, for such a lovely evening all round. We've been many times before and it is always great, but this one was a massive highlight. Will definitely be back!
