Ik eet zelden pizza omdat ik er nooit een grote fan van ben geweest maar de zuurdesempizza met kip en courgette bij Franco Manca smaakte me prima en ook de huisgemaakte limonade was erg lekker.

Good spot, went as other restaurant was closed, glad it was because this place was lovely! Good food, good service, only gave 4* as they added tip on the bill! I always leave a tip but like to be given a choice, without feeling obliged to!

Admittedly this review is for the food only as I got it through deliveroo (which I can't fault). I had ticked the box for the pizza to be cut, but it hadn't been, cutting short the planned al fresco dining on the green as I had to go get cutlery. The stilton sauce was a big let down, ricotta slush with a few chunks of stilton. The tang was so strong I had suspicions it had been left out of a fridge for too long.. real shame as I love blue cheese, tang included. The nduja dip was phenomenal, though I would have expected more than a few tablespoons for the £2.30 each. The pizza itself was pretty good. The red onions on the #7 could have been scaled back but still enjoyed. I adore rocket so added some to the pizza for £2.45, expecting a whole handful at least. Got about 8 leaves. Overall, expensive for what it is.

Food was good, but disappointed that coffee machine was closed pre 9pm, service was ok but was surprised when they asked us if we wished to pay the service charge.

I have lots of food intolerances, so it was lovely to actually be able to eat a pizza for once. The pizza and starters are very tasty an dthere was a good turn over of customers throughout our stay. We were a little disappointed as we were forgotten about and had to wait nearly an hour to get our starters (after a gentle reminder to the manager), but they made up for it by reducing our bill - good customer service!

Very impressed with the whole experience.The welcome was warm, food quick and delicious excellent service.Really impressed with the open, slick kitchen, they all really know their roles and do them very efficiently. Can’t believe how many pizzas etc they were producing.The lady on the passé when we visited was a complete star, co-ordinating everything with total grace, watching her was like watching a performance, didn’t get her name, but blond, with a french plat. Really good value for money, two starters, two pizzas, two affogato, wine and Pepsi for just over £50, will 100% recommend and visit again.

We ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery and unfortunately when they arrived they were stone cold and so chewy they were barely edible. We have ordered Franco Manco pizzas for delivery on a few occasions in the past and have always enjoyed it but sadly will not be doing so again. They must have been sitting around for quite some time to get that cold.

We chose Franco Manco to eat as they specialised in sourdough pizza . Authentic look and taste - it was delicious!! Very good value for money for the size of pizza . We were able to see the pizza being made and baked in the authentic looking oven, great atmosphere and very good service and staff - so good we went back twice during our short break!! We would definitely recommend.

Excellent place for lunch or pre Theatre. Very good Italian food in an interesting location. Give it a try.

The customer service was great! The waiter was able to give us wine recommendations which was amazing! We loved being able to see the pizza get made in front of us. And the pizza was AMAZING! one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The prices were very reasonable as well. can't recommend this place enough! if you're in Bath, go to Franco Manca!

Easily spotted in the railway arches as you exit Bath Spa railway station, I enjoyed a nice midweek lunch here.Very tasty garlic pizza bread followed by sourdough pizza. Everything was promptly served by the attentive staff. It was a fairly quiet midweek lunchtime which no doubt helped.No complaints at all.

A staff member who looked to be the manager was so rude to my friends and I, the food was burnt there was also a hair in my food and the staff didn’t come to check on us to see how our meal was. We were glad to leave !

The manager who was waitressing was very rude to me and my friends. The food came with hair on it and presented truly poorly. Definitely wouldn’t recommend!

Never been before this weekend but had heard great things. Food was reasonably priced, service was great and the pizzas were delicious. So good my partner and I ate their twice in a row for our Bath staycation, as unlike a lot of other places they did take walk ins and were happy to accommodate us. Thank you ☺️

To be turned away from a worker today when we wanted to sit in the sun is unbelievable. She said they don’t have the waiters/waitresses for the tables that are 5 metres away from their restaurant whilst having 4 workers around her doing nothing. Very surprised if this restaurant survives with service like that.

we arrived in bath and had not booked, we noticed this pizza restaurant, we all like pizza.The pizza was very food, big portions we couldn't finish them all.the service was friendly, our server was very busy, they seemed short staffed. I would visit again.

My friend and i were welcomed in on Saturday night by Keira who was so lovely and helpful. She made our experience so enjoyable and the food was delicious and our promptly. 100% would recommend.

I been on Sunday here! The manager in charge what a star! But the food wow delicious! Pizza so good no microwave or something like this , they make it, fantastic! Olives as well so good definetly i will come back with my family next week..The most important after food is the waiter Conner amazing customer service from him! This is important , never ever i had from a waiter customer service like this in any restaurants and i travel a lot ! Well done Conner you are a legend!

Me and my husband been there for lunch while having a day trip visiting Bristol and Bath. The outdoor seating is lovely. Our waitress was Ana, who is amazing and did everything to accommodate us. The pizza is delicious. Excellent service and lovely staff. Thanks to lovely Ana and the rest of the staff for our nice lunch.

Stopped off for a late afternoon/early dinner. Fantastic service and very tasty food. But what shocked us more was the great value for money. Don’t know if it is a chain but now know they have at least one other restaurant in Bristol. Will definitely be coming back.

We visited over Bank Holiday Weekend, the pizzas was fantastic, the service was great and felt very safe. Would definitely recommend. Cater for Gluton free. My husband did struggle with the menu and lots of different names lol.

I ordered from here before and it arrived cold but it seemed like it would be decent warm so gave them benefit of the doubt and ordered again another time and it turned up like the photo! All the cheese and chorizo slid off and they didn't include anchovies that I'd paid £3 for..... unfortunately I won't ever be using or recommending again.

I was there with my son today and went to ask for a place to sit. I was told to download the NHS track and trace app and check in which I did. I showed the manager the confirmation and he then said to me to download and app to make a booking when the place was pretty empty. We did went in and did that. Anyway long story short , one of the staff member came out and called us in . We were there for lunch. While eating I notice 4 different group of people coming in to eat and they were not asked to download any app or make a booking!!! I was shocked as when we arrived the place was empty with only two other tables occupied. I think the guy who was rude to us was the manager. I questioned him when paying my bill about why we were asked to do all the above and none of the other customers after us to asked to do the same. His response to me was he was busy so that’s why he ask us to ..... he then said I didn’t need to pay the service charges if I want to.!!!! I went to bath to visit the city and university and I must say the first impressions was bad. Such a rude person. I will never go back there again. If the manager is reading this ,you came across to me as a racist person as we were the only coloured people there . I can’t help to think this as that’s the only obvious reason why he asked us and no one else .

Came here with my Vegan and Gluten Free friend, as it was recommended by another GF friend of mine. We were seated immediately as the place was very quiet which was nice. My friend asked if the pizza bases had egg in them to which the manager had to check, which we appreciated but didn’t fill us with confidence. We ordered the bottle of white wine which was a lovely wine but became a lesser experience when we were only brought the bottle and when we asked for wine glasses and a cooler, we’re told that they didn’t have any. Our pizzas were ordered, one GF and one not. They came and looked eerily similar so we asked if one of them was gluten free, which the girl had to check. It was not. Although this was taken back and replaced within minutes, if we hadn’t have asked my friend would have been severely ill. Nobody on the door asked us about allergies and this was a close-call to being a higher up issue. The pizzas were great for the price, if a little floppy and the staff were all really friendly, if a bit quiet.Probably wouldn’t return.

I’m a regular visitor of the chain so whenever I’m visiting a city and spot one of their restaurants I always make sure to visit. The pizza as always was delicious, I had the veg special that came with mozzarella, Stilton, peppers, onions and potatoes. The staff were really friendly and helpful with my order. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to serve wine in a wine glass in future rather than a standard cup.

Showed up at 12 when they opened and tried to join the online queue but the manager hadn’t turned it on as they hadn’t finished laying tables, or so a staff member told us.Gentlemen with blonde highlights came out and said they’d be open at 12, I informed him it was ten past and then he said they’d be open at half past - weird but okay we went to town.We came back at 1:30 and joined the online queue, it said the table would be 17 minutes but a lady (green jumper who I assume is the manager) told us it would be closer to an hour, but also said we could go for a wander and we’d get a text when it’s ready - no problems we went for a walk.Then 8 minutes later we got a text confirming it would be 14:30 as she said, no problemThen 7 minutes before our table should of been ready we were ‘removed from the queue’Ended up going to a competitor a few doors down but it would of saved us a lot of waiting around if we hadn’t been messed about.Unlikely to return - photo of the text alerts attached!

I would highly recommend this restaurant!! It was near closing time when I ordered a pizza from the restaurant, the staff were lovely and came out with my pizza no longer then 5 minutes leaving me knowing it had just been freshly made and cooked. They were very generous with the amount of cheese and chorizo, the whole pizza was delicious and I will definitely be returning for a sit down meal once everything is open! Thank you for the last minute service it was greatly appreciated :)

I order pizza with tomato and chorizo and burr at a on pizza bread. Pizza arrived cold, cheese was just couple of springs and chorizo burned. I don’t recommend that place at all and they have to take a good care of what they are serving cause it wasn’t edible at all.

Me and my brother came a fair way to Bath for lunch from Southampton. Lovely food here and you get loads! The bill came and I was stunned how cheap it was topped off with a couple free shots. Jose was lovely and very welcoming. Treated very well here definitely recommend!!

Bath during covid- not easy to find a cafe/restaurant with actual properly safe distancing due to the desperate need for sales! Franco Manca have removed tables, added screens between every single table ( well done!) and all staff were wearing masks, kept a respectful distance, track and trace QR clearly shown on way in, or your details can be taken if you don’t have the app, pizza is lovely, service is friendly, lighting nice and soft ( and you get a lovely view of the Southgate Xmas tree and lights if you sit near the window) music not too loud, it’s a very safe and very tasty place to eat. Jose our server was particularly charming. Will be back very soon.

Franco Manca is a reliable and cheap pizzeria I always pay a visit wherever I go. It doesn't matter some ingredients are not Italian, they are still very carefully chosen to keep very good quality and keep costs down; they are nothing like chicken or ingredients we would never top a pizza with in Italy. The base is authentic, the technique to perform pizzas is the proper Italian one and for the price you can't get anything better. Great concept!

I visited Franco Manca for the first time last week. When we arrived, we joined the virtual queue which is a fantastic idea and were able to track and trace outside. There was sanister available as we went in and all the tables seperated by plastic partitions. Overall I was pleased with the covid measures putnin place. I had the number 2 pizza which was slightly burnt on its base but the topping decent enough and it was hot. The drinks menu is absolutely awful though. Overall, it was a good experience but there are certainly better places to go to in Bath. Many thanks to our waiter who was engaging and attentive

He estado en este restaurante dos veces antes y siempre salgo sintiendo lo mismo. El personal estaba desatendido y lejos de ser accesible. Debido al coronavirus estuve esperando afuera en la cola durante 20 minutos y nadie vino a vernos, así que tuvimos que subir a la puerta. Todavía nadie nos vio, así que llamé al restaurante por teléfono y vi a la mujer colgar el teléfono dos veces, cuando pude ver muchas mesas libres dentro.

Visitamos para almorzar el lunes después de encontrar este restaurante en nuestro paseo por el centro de la ciudad. ¡Estoy tan contento de haberlo encontrado! Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa cuando lo hicimos, ya que había una cola 5 minutos más tarde. Obviamente un lugar muy popular. Gran servicio, muy limpio y con precauciones COVID en su lugar. ¡La comida era increíble! Tomamos dos pizzas del menú principal. Los ingredientes eran encantadores y frescos. Las 3 pizzas que comimos eran tan malas como las demás. La menor cantidad de relleno posible en todos ellos. Tan seco que tomó un poco de comer. De hecho, todos dejamos bastantes. Luego pedimos cafés y las tazas estaban medio llenas. Fue una estafa total. Hay más aderezo en una pizza Morrisons 2. Se intentó desinfectar cualquiera de las mesas después de haberlas usado. Bastante decepcionado con mi visita más reciente aquí. Pedí pan de ajo como entrante y llegó relativamente rápido, sin embargo, estaba muy quemado. Excelente comida como siempre, brillantes camareros. Nuestra base está en Brighton y visitamos mucho a Franco Manca. Pero esta sucursal de Bath es absolutamente excepcional. Personalmente quiero agradecer al camarero que nos atendió. Hizo un ambiente fantástico y agradable. Lugar muy recomendable para comer. La próxima vez que esté en Bath, volverá a ser un lugar para almorzar.

Tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo aquí el domingo. Aparte del procedimiento de entrada (escanear un código QR) para Covid que tienes que hacer en todas partes ahora, fue una gran experiencia.El personal es muy amable y servicial sin ser agobiante.¡Las pizzas eran fabulosas! Prueba el pesto de temporada, está delicioso.La terraza exterior es muy bonita y las mesas están espaciadas a una distancia segura.Lo recomiendo mucho.

Fui aquí con mi esposo y mi bebé durante un viaje a Bath. Inicialmente no pudimos conseguir una mesa porque estaban muy ocupados, sin embargo, Marianne salió para ayudarnos y nos sentó con bebidas afuera hasta que haya una mesa disponible adentro.Definitivamente lo recomendaría. Comida deliciosa y buen ambiente. Incluso hicieron la pizza en forma de conejito para mi pequeño :)

Después de no poder comer fuera durante meses, ¡esta fue una comida realmente deliciosa! Buena comida a precios realmente razonables con buenas opciones vegetarianas. Servicio excelente y cordial. Este restaurante también ha priorizado realmente la seguridad de sus clientes, utilizando desinfectantes de manos automáticos y pantallas entre las mesas. Definitivamente volveremos.

I went out to Franco Manca for lunch with family for a birthday celebration. The pizzas were big and yummy so great value. It was nice to see to pizzas being made. It got busy so I recommend booking. I definitely like to go again. I highly recommend this to you.

Went for a pizza on a Saturday lunchtime. Not too long of a wait for a table.We were recommended the pizzas on the specials board, which was a good recommendation. When ordering the pizzas we were given the option of British or Buffalo mozzarella, the waiter only mentioned there was a 'small charge' for buffalo as he was leaving the table. We certainly didn't realise it was an extra £2 each. The pizza was delicious but the service wasn't very attentive. From reading previous reviews and hearing the main waiter offering the choice of mozzarella to other patrons, their upselling is dishonest.

It is the ingredients that make this place. All from organic farms and small suppliers. Makes for a really good pizza. Location next to the rail station and opposite South Gate shopping centre is very convenient. Well worth a visit.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon to grab some lunch. Marianna seated us immediately and was the most accommodating hostess. The pizzas we had were authentic, perfectly cooked and some of the best we've had in Bath. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back again soon - thank you Franco Manca!

Marianna was excellent, we were seated as soon as we walked in the door. We never had to ask for anything, she just made it happen. The pizza was fantastic, very authentic Naples pizza. We will be back very soon!

Really nice food with lovely sourdough pizzas, especially for the price. Nice atmosphere and the staff were all friendly. The tiramisu was lovely too. We were very politely asked to move tables halfway through our meal and were given lemonades on the house as a result, which was a really nice gesture. Will be back!

Had a late lunch here midweek. The restaurant itself looks nice and the pizzas and food in general tasted great. However there were four negative things that happened on my visit to this branch:

As always, good pizza at good prices. We were a large group, and were told there would be a bit of a wait. But our fantastic waitress, Sumer, was a great laugh kept us more than comfortable with wine

Having visited the London restaurant and having been impressed with true quality of food and price I was excited to visit the Bath branch, while visiting the city. We had the no 2, one each. Before eating we was asked if we wanted a different type of cheese and we just asked which he would recommend he said to change with the Italian cheese(but was not informed of the £4 excess when asked) Thus on receipt of the bill the extra £4 came at a surprise and was generally not impressed with the waiter we had.

I know it’s a chain - but it’s one with soul and one that gets the basics right! Great team at Bath serving some of the best pizza you can get at a fantastic price.

La pizza è fantastica, due volte su due, margherita con mozzarella di bufala DA NAPOLETANO dico e affermo che è perfetta.

The pizzas here are SO good and SO reasonably priced! The ingredients used are so tasty that even a margarita would be full of flavour without the need of any more toppings. The tomato sauce is delicious and the mozzarella cheese is melty and lovely! The dough is crispy yet soft and the service is nice and quick. Cannot recommend highly enough! Please go here you won’t regret it.

I had to call in for a quick meal before catching train. They were so fast and obliging and I was impressed how they helped me. However it is somewhere in the city you could happily linger and enjoy a protracted meal. The sour dough base with ricotta cheese base is particularly tasty and very enjoyable. Franco Manca is a firm favourite of mine, so last night I decided to take my partner for a meal there. There was a queue at the door and we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We did not mind this as it is usually worth the wait and understandably they were extremely busy. After being seated, we ordered our drinks and pizzas fairly quickly. Our drinks were delivered to the table, but after about half an hour there was still no sign of our food. A waitress looked very puzzled as to why we had been sat there for a while and we were asked if we had ordered yet, to which we replied yes, half an hour ago. You would have thought she would have checked in the kitchen/on the order. Obviously not, as another half an hour passed before a waiter approached us and asked us AGAIN if we had ordered yet. By this point, it was beyond a joke and 3 other tables had been seated and had eaten. After telling the waiter we had ordered a long time ago, 10 more minutes passed before we decided to leave. The waitress apologised to us on the way out and told us our pizza's were definitely on their way, to which we explained it was now 9:30pm (we arrived at the restaurant at 8:00pm) and we were hungry and tired.

Having dined here before, we were in Bath looking for a quick Tea and thought we would try it again. The restaurant didn't look that busy, however we were told that there would be a 20 minute wait for food. We waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to take our Order, then for another waitress to also try to take it a few minutes later. The simple task of trying to swap standard Mozzarella for Buffalo also took some explaining. The waiting time then turned in to over 40 minutes. The Pizzas themselves were quite disappointing, soggy in the middle and they were definitely not generous with the toppings. If it's just Chorizo and Mozzarella, you would at least like to get a couple of pieces of Chorizo in a mouthful. We did manage to get to our concert just in time and only left a tip because we couldn't be bothered to wait for the change to come back.

If you like pizza, by all means go to those pizza places which seem to be every town in the country and get "an OK" pizza.

Can't believe how rude the waiter was this evening! I have eaten here a number of times and always had good food and OK service. However this evening I came with my daughter and we asked to sit outside as there was a few spare tables. Waiter very curt and rude and refused to let us sit outside as he said they were expecting rain.....I tried then to say to him that OK...we could sit inside but he just turned his back as I was trying to talk to him and he completely ignored me and went inside leaving me on the terrace. My daughter and I ended up going to Tapas Revolution..fantastic food and service to match!!

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was almost full, a nice waitress took our order very quickly despite how busy it was. The pizza is also cooked incredibly quickly meaning we only waited for our food for 5 minutes. The pizza was some of the nicest I’ve eaten, it had a crisp base and flavourful toppings. The pizza is also reasonably priced and a generous size with a Margherita costing around £6. The only downside was that they forgot the dip with our order, however they were very apologetic and took it off our bill, overall a very pleasant visit and I will definitely be going again next time I visit bath.

Just love the food in this restaurant! Pizzas were excellent. All the family and my party, (all 11 of us) ate very well indeed. This five rating is given even though one of the managers was arguing with the staff.

My daughter raves about chain so we thought we’d better try it. It was a reasonably busy lunch time, still a few tables free. To be honest we weren’t that quick at ordering however considering a wood fired pizza takes c. 2 mins to cook the pizzas took a loooong time. What was worse was that one arrived a good 5 minutes before the other one and was cold to boot. The disappointment was exacerbated by the fact that we saw at least 3 other pizzas get served to other tables in between our 2. How hard can it be in a pizza establishment to serve 2 at the same time.

We ordered from Franco Manca through one of the typical delivery apps. Franco Manca had the food ready in good time, but our delivery driver did not pick up our order. Franco Manca remade the entire order for us at no charge as they did not want us to have cold pizzas. They offered several good-will gestures even though it was not their mistake, and tried everything they could to fulfil our order. When it became clear they would have to remake the order as it had been sitting in the restaurant for over 30 mins, they initially said it would take 45 mins as they were busy, which is understandable for a Saturday evening. But then they pushed our order to the top and had it ready in 20 mins. Couldn't be more thoroughly impressed by the service provided by Franco Manca!

Went in on spec, restaurant not busy,but advised 45 minutes wait for food. However after 15 minutes no one had taken our order, so we left.

Waitress was friendly and attentive with regards to making sure we had everything we needed but service of food was slow, often the case with a large party.

This is our first night in Bath and stopped here not knowing what it was like but the menu looked really good. Very happy to try their pizzas, the sourdough base makes all the difference, it’s amazing. We were both very happy with our choices. We had a bowl of green olives to share, never had any as good as these, and we shared a starter of mozzarella, rocket and tomatoes, again the best ever tomatoes I’ve had. The desserts were just as good too, just enough of a portion to feel really satisfied. We had a very good bottle of rose wine too. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We thought it real value for money, all of the above plus coffee and a glass of eau de vie for £56.

Really great service from our waitress, Nell Winbolt, and great pizza - as ever! Would definitely recommend

Was out a walk around the city and happened to pop in for a pizza to share. Staff were good as was the food and local IPA on offer.

We stopped for a very late lunch after walking the Bath Skyline Walk. The pizzas were excellent (much better than some London Franco Mancas I tried recently), perfectly baked with a doughy edge and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

went in there for a take away and they made us a amazing marguarita in 72 seconds and he pizza is out of this world amazing

I met a colleague for a meeting and to have a quick bite. Meeting ok, quick not so much. Might be their way of service to give plenty of time for guests to decide, we felt staff a bit slow, at least offer water to start with, however can’t fault that everyone is nice and helpful. Homemade tiramisu is to die for! Number 7 all the way!!

The place is opened until 22 in the evening, but they will stop you at the door around 9.20 pr before depending on the manager of the day...

Excellent location next door to Bath Spa Train Station with plenty of outside seating in a shared square area (set way back from street). Love the menu ethos, which also describes sourcing locations. Excellent sourdough pizza, and very reasonable (might be cheapest pizza in Bath)..

Under advisement, decided to visit for lunch one Sat while shopping with our 2 granddaughters in Bath. The ambience & service was as expected, no matter the restaurant was only half full with customers the amount of time to be served & food did not live up to expectation, as many customers arriving after our arrival, had eaten & paid. The garlic bread arrived after 25mn after placing our order & the salad & 2 Pizzas (shared) arrived a further 25mns later. Questioning this, we didn’t get a satisfactory response, alongside the Pizza being raw (Gluteness) & uncooked in the centre, only to be condescendingly told this is the Napoli way & should of asked for it to be well-done. Overall not the best experience, but did get a reduction in the bill, however won’t be returning any time soon!
