I go here every Friday before work. Staff different but service all excellent. Free coffee today whoop whoop For me coffee tastes better than most.

Young lady knows me as a regular ,obviously has an issue with me, serves me with her back to me ,no eye contact, started to make the drink without first asking what i require, needs to brush up her customer service skills, and treat ALL customers the same

Went in Cafè on 24th June 2024 about lunch time ish with a friend and got ignored by staff and asked everyone else for their orders apart from mine as been in queue before anyone else and never got served apart from my friend. So me and my friend walked out. Not happy at all.

The staff are always cheerful and friendly, good atmosphere and lovely Italian style coffee. The food is very delicious. It’s perfect for taking your laptop and finalise all of your unfinished work, especially upstairs. The toilets are always clean but a bit old. Plymouth high st Nero is my favourite destination!

Very dirty and unhygienic . Those espresso glasses shots has to be cleaned regularly. I saw that lady put her finger into the espresso glass and poured it to cup 😑.

This is a nice clean Cafe Nero with friendly staff. The upstairs was busy when we came but there was a nice atmosphere. Drinks were good too. The toilets are a little weird - one of those rooms within a room situations... could definitely do with a few more.

Good service. Was able to manage anyone in the queue and some lovely places to sit. Staff was quick to clear away table from when people left

All good. However, the gent's toilet has a toilet paper container which is falling to bits, held together by ancient sticky tape which keeps attacking the customer !

Busy little coffee shop in Plymouth. Normally a que to be served but the staff are welcoming and friendly. The coffee and cakes are unbeatable. Worth the visit.

Went to get a coffee and the blond barista rolled her eyes at me. Also very sticky tables. A lot of reviews talk about how nice the baristas are but it's very hit or miss.

Usually pop in here, great staff and service, can be a little crowded downstairs and not impressed with laptop users hugging the large windows upstairs having just 1 coffee each !

Great value for students, and they made the coffee very quickly! Unfortunately, that's where the good points end. There's a huge disparity between the baristas as to who knows how to make coffee, and who doesn't. The barista who served me didn't clean the group head, so my coffee had a bitter and burnt aftertaste, and the milk was steamed for too long. I ordered a flat white, and it looked like an even bubblier cappuccino.

Mocha ten times better than Costa, please get one in Plymstock, having the three+ app where any drink any size is £1 is great

Popped in at 13:25 Sunday 24th September 2023 for a coffee with my daughter. Daughter decided she wanted an amilkshake but couldn't see any on their menu. As we turned around to leave the cafe, one of your "not so delightful " girls serving shouted at the top of her voice in a very sarcastic tone. "THANK YOU GOODBYE". If this is behaviour you tolerate from your staff, you should be ashamed. Needless to say, i won't be returning

Good people, good coffee in a good, convenient place.

Disappointing! The whole place was grubby. The tables were so sticky and needed a good wipe down. Visited a caffe nero in London recently which was lovely. Coffee ok, but croissant not even warmed, or the offer of it being warmed. Whole place was grubby

My fave place for coffee. Cornwall St is my regular, but whichever Nero I use, they could all do with a good clean!

Had coffee's on outside table recently, most disappointed as tables were all filthy with cigarette ends and old cups ect, this wad every table nearly, probably lack of staff as only two people serving, won't be back oh and coffee's were cold.

Awful customer service, asked to leave after taking longer than 20 mins to eat food and drink my coffee when it wasn't even busy.

Always love the coffee at Caffe Nero, but the decor hasn't changed in years. Long overdue for a bit of a makeover I think.

Pre covid, this was the best place for coffee in Plymouth, the service quick but relaxed and friendly. I've been twice in the past few months (late 22 - early 23), and it is grim. Coffee was weak so I asked for an additional shot and there was some animosity. The table upstairs was sticky and overall the place is quite mucky. I guess staffing nowadays is difficult but such a shame how a formally great place is now so shabby.

Fairly busy but the staff get through the queue quickly enough and with good service. Coffee is as good as you expect from any Nero's As with many coffee shops my real issue is the space afforded to the pretty constant queue making for shuffling past and feeling of always being in the way, the seating area outside suffering the same problems for passing foot traffic with many trying to cut through the seating.

Visited in a busy Christmas rush period. Coffee is good, Pan O'Chocolate was OK. Space seemed a little dim

We use this Nero regularly… Simply because the standards are excellent and the staff are Top Drawer….. Alex and the guys are SO friendly and everyone I know appreciates the consistency of the experience. Well done guys Monty & Julie

Cakes are a bit expensive for small portions. Coffee is great. Staff are quick and friendly.

Nice cafe with comfortable seats, staff are polite and friendly.. Met a friend here for cake and a coffee... I ended up having a pistachio donut.. it was different in a good way but super expensive.. even by comparison to say krispy kreme.. it was a nice treat but over priced. The coffee was good though.. and it wasn't too busy so we were able to relax and catch up. Just to note, they allow dogs in here, which I actually am happy about.. but for those pet owners who have dogs who can be a bit 'temperamental' please be considerate before bringing your dog here as there isn't much space if your dog decides to take issue with another dog and not everyone whos in there will be used to dogs or want to deal with that.

Nice, welcoming and cosy ambience on a cold and rainy November afternoon but over £4 for ONE Chai Latte is excessive and not value for money.

This must be the best Caffe Nero. All quick, efficient and friendly as well as serving good coffee. The service is good. Also, Alex who work there deserves a mention as she seems so know all her customers and always asks how they are and has a smile for them with a friendly greeting.

No trip into town would be without a caramel latte from here.

Raw coconut latte iced iced iced without additional sugar Iced superbly! No sugar added but still has the sweetness of coconut milk and not too strong coffee taste Perfect for those who don't like bitter lattes

Service was reasonably quick but staff member was impatient and quite rude. Premises itself is small but had quite a good feel / vibe to it.

This has become our usual coffee shop. I can't recall ever having a bad service or coffee here.

Situated in the city centre with pay & display parking nearby. Good quality coffees & beverages. Nice selection of sandwiches, cakes & pastries including a vegan raspberry croissant. All types of milk offered for choice or dietary requirements. I went in at 8.30 am on a weekday & there was quite a lengthy queue of people grabbing their pre work caffeine hit. The pain au raisin I had was still warm. The staff were very efficient & friendly.

The internet here is terrible. Genuinely awful compared to other coffee shops or just any regular high street place. Shame as upstairs is a nice space to work but the internet service at this shop is something I would expect maybe 20 years ago when the internet was a new thing still. Even using hotspot off of my phone barely works in this place. This is the last time I come here. Please fix it.

A great cup of coffee. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to engage with the customers. I would have a coffee here over any of the competitors in town any day of the week!

Service is good ,but even good coffe doesn't taste well inside this such unpleasant interior -or lack of any decoration specially upstairs.Plus dirty toilet was another minus. Shame as a staff is working hard and coffe is good but there is nothing what will make me to come back for a good coffe.This place is not for those who value high quality and standards.

I've been enjoying my mochas at Caffè Nero in Cornwall Street, Plymouth for quite a while now, I don't want to go anywhere else. They make really good oat milk mochas for me and it's amazing service. They are such a lovely bunch of baristas at this Neros, cannot find any fault whatsoever so it's 5 starts from me.

Great coffee, great staff, what's not to like? Always friendly and helpful. Coffee is lovely, free WiFi a bonus. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice place for a coffee in the centre of Plymouth

Great coffee, but disappointed there’s extremely limited choice for Coeliacs. No savoury gluten free food at all, I was offered a chocolate brownie, OK if you want something sweet, but a bit limited if you want something savoury.

A classsic nero , nice place at the town, just next to the mall.

Woman who served me at 11:00 today with dark hair, tied up at the back; Absolutely fantastic service. She was friendly, quick to notice and serve me whilst I was in the queue, very polite and professional. Overheard the man with the longer hair who seemed very good too. Kudos to such a great team 🙌🏻 Oh and the mushroom toastie was very good.

The manager Alex and her team are all fantastic. Alex really sets and example for her staff, and each one is so welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly!

Friendly & welcoming staff with ambient atmosphere within café. Had Mocha although drink not as hot as it should have been which was disappointing. Tables had not all been cleared; had to remove dirty crockery before sitting down.

Normally love this cafe. Today though a different experience. The coffee supposedly caramel latte was merely lukewarm milk. Not nice at all.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Greeted individually as each customer entered. Welcomed in with a smile. Polite, bubbly staff. Real credit to the company and exactly what you need after a long mornings shopping. Thank yous and greetings on leaving. Well done all staff....

Average, drinks need to be a lot hotter instead of tepid

We popped into this cafe after a shopping expedition in the City Centre. The barista who served us was friendly, pleasant and efficient. He said that the iced cappuccino that my partner ordered was the first one he had ever made - but it didn't show! Both of our drinks were nicely presented and very welcome. Top marks to Caffe Nero .

This is such a great coffee shop Alix ,Sam,Georgia ,Andrea are the best staff I have ever meet in a store Every time we are in town we drop in here as they are so welcoming and it’s made us feel like visiting family when we drop in Our grandchildren know them all by name and they are always laughing and joking with them all Sam you can hear laughing from a distance before even getting in the store :) What great ambassadors these guys are for Nero Def recommended Oh and the coffees great too :)

Never was a coffee drinker until my friend brought me in and the young blond lad behind the counter talked me through the different options and made me feel really at home, I think his name was Ethan? Apologies if not. He's manager material a proper coffee wizard x ta duck

Absolutely fantastic, ordered 4 hot drinks, 4 cakes and female member of staff was excellent, polite friendly and informative. Apologised whilst making the drinks thinking it was slow but it was fast and speedy service. Sat upstairs which had plenty of seats and was very quiet. Seating outside the shop but this did look a little congested and ok if you don't mind the smokers from here or adjoining premises.

This is my most favourite coffee shop I ever tried. I absolutely love their coffee and deserts. Also staff is kind and welcoming, makes me feel comfy and cosy.

Popped in for a coffee, tables seated outside due to current restrictions. Staff friendly and service quick though we did have to clear our own table to be able to sit at it. This was more to do with only two staff members being on duty at the time but were doing their best under the circumstances.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. We finished our lunch with two deserts to die for. I will be back!
