The Colebrook Inn in Plymouth

Mixed grill was excellent, EXCEPT for the steak. Rump is the standard for a mixed grill as it`s a cheaper cut, but despite being cooked as ordered (medium) is was awful. Tough, stringy. If they offered an upgrade to Sirloin I would happily pay extra. Rest of the mixed grill was very good. Served quickly. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Definately worth a visit

Very nice, very beautiful, long, or short walks, with follies, plus quay side, if you like you can walk to Calstock up the Road. Beautiful house with 15th century furiture. Plants for sale, craft shop, gift shop and cafe. Your typical enjoyable site.

We are lucky to call the Colebrook our local pub. Expect proper home cooked food by Marie and a warm welcome from Gary. There is always a well stocked bar with local Ales as well as good quality beer, cider and spirits. Most Saturday nights there is local live music.

Nice little pub. They were really helpful catering for my girlfriend who is vegeterian and made her a meal off menu. Tasty meal, good portions and great staff.

Come to this local establishment most days as always greeted by welcoming staff and great environment. Great place to watch the sports on TV with lots of locals who are most welcoming. Also with colder weather nice to have a great traditional open fire.

This Pub is outstanding , The Sunday Roast is Amazing, as is the evening meals we have had during the week, The Landlady is so welcoming & friendly to All her customers and All The staff are as well , will 100% be back .

Marie and her team simply cannot do enough for us all. Their service is impeccable. Food is outstanding and such amazing value for money. Everyone behind the bar is so very friendly, it is now my preferred pub out of so many in the south-west. I recommend The Colebrook Inn over any other in its locality or Plymouth come to that. Its food and alcohol are not overpriced and the bar staff are always smiling ☺️ Huge food portions and breakfasts are so scrumptiously satisfying! If you’re wondering ‘should I or shouldn’t I’ then get your ass down there… I promise you, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. -X-

Visited the colebrook inn on 25th February with friends and the landlady Marie had a typical pub menu available to coincide with rugby. Could not decide between the cottage pie or steak pie and mash so as a greedy guy I ordered both as takeaways. Had cottage pie last night and the steak pie today. Both were delicious and as a basic eater these were 10 out of 10 for me. Thanks and well done to the team

Impromptu visit to this lovely pub during our stay in Boringdon hotel and spa. We fancied something to eat while watching the football game. On that day they didn’t serve the food but the owner suggested we can bring or order some take away and bring it here . She even provided us with dishes for our take away. What a star!! Truly amazing host we will never forget . Thank you

Went for Sunday lunch with family , 4 adults 1 baby . Roast was tasty and plentiful. Service was amazing checking back to make sure all the food was ok , They even brought ice-cream for the baby . Log fire was also lovely giving the place a very warm feeling as from the staff aswell. Great job and we will be returning

Looks small from the outside but deceiving when inside at how much bigger it is than you would think. Friendly staff and locals. Good choice of alcoholic drinks.

Only went down for football but stayed for busketeers who was fantastic entertainment. Best evening of see entertainment I've had for a long time. Well done to management for booking this act.

On Sunday I went out for Sunday dinner I had one of the best roast dinners it has been my pleasure to have there was more than ample on my plate and it was absolutely delicious I cleared the plate and treated myself to a desert my wife was too full to have one The bar staff and waiting staff for an absolutely fantastic they actually came and asked what we thought of the food the attention to details was just brilliant we will definitely be back again soon

Cracking pub with awesome smashed burgers and a great pint, but it's the staff that are truly awesome.... Popped on the sport I wanted, nothing was too much hassle, BBQ and live music on a Sunday, what more could you want... Lovely pub. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly. My husband often takes the dog for a "walk" lol. Has a children's play area. Just a nice all round pub.

Called in after a long walk and had a very good pint of Guinness, the fire was in the process of being lit, all very congenia

Wow these burgers are amazing! I recently tried the new buttermilk chicken burger and it was delicious! The fries are by far the nicest I’ve had. Such amazing value for money and good portion sizes, the kids meals are also fantastic, a burger, fries, drink and ice cream for £5 you just can not get better than that! The staff are always very friendly! Highly recommend Howeys Burgers!

Really friendly staff and really good value. Good selection of drinks. Kids loved the beer garden with the trampoline. Also they loved the pub dog. Glad we gave this place ago as it is our local of choice now. Previous been suckered in by the national chains near by so feels good to be supporting the local pub

What a lovely little boozer. Staying in Colebrook as a base for touring Devon and this pub just a few yards past the front door. Beer selection: ciders, lagers & bitters. No food served on Monday 😥😥 Bar staff: friendly, courteous and amenable. Nice, clean toilets that is always a great sign 👍👍 Just a lovely boozer, full stop.

Had a lovely time sharing drinks, playing darts and pool with family and friends....our barman was friendly, Polite and introduced me to few more gins 😉😉🍻🍻

We were a group of 3 middle aged professional couples enjoying a Christmas catch-up one Saturday evening just before Christmas. The barman was so friendly and clearly passionate about the drinks on offer and the pub itself adequate and also dog friendly which is a plus. Considering all of these points I couldn’t understand why the pub was practically empty, which I thought was very strange as it was just before Christmas and also a Saturday night. We didn’t have to wait long, we were about to find out why......... A male who was clearly extremely drunk, presented himself as the landlord and started acting really aggressively and was ‘fronting’ both the males and females in our group and generally trying to cause trouble. I have lived in Plympton all of my life and have never seen any landlord in this area, in fact anywhere in the world conduct themselves in this drunken manner. As a licensee with all of the responsibilities and legalities that this position entails it would be fair to suggest that being drunk on duty is completely unprofessional. If you want to feel safe whilst having an evening out DO NOT GO HERE. The landlord is a drunk, antagonistic and very strange. There are lots of other lovely, friendly pubs in Plympton and this unfortunately isn’t one of them.

my first beer in 1999 was at this place still frequent this palce every year for the lad's all dayer although it has changed a lot since 1999 still a great pub to pass on the annual plympton pub crawl

Hemos comido en el hotel, Colebrook, Plympton muchas veces durante los últimos dos años. La comida es excelente. Un montón de pubs decir su comida casera" pero esta comida es realmente. Hay un montón de, bien caliente, y a un precio razonable. Nos pareció que el propietario y la casera, y todos los clientes locales, muy amables y divertidos! También es un local de música en directo, y muchos pubs no están haciendo que estos días. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Mi hijo y novia apareció en un par de semanas atrás y pensamos que el ambiente era genial y me hablaron y el marido y unos amigos a ir allí para Año Nuevo a pesar de que no era nuestro! Bien, me dirán que qué! No nos decepcionó en ninguna manera! El personal del bar y asiduos eran muy amables, el gran ambiente, música fabulosa y el espléndido buffet! Sin duda proliferando en nuevo! Looking for somewhere for lunch and came across this pub, a very good choice of local ales. Also a dog friendly pub which we decided to have food in, I had the homemade chicken pie with potatoes and veg, which was excellent and my wife had the spag bol which she loved. Very friendly staff who happily chatted with us would have gone back again but ran out of time.

We often travel down from Somerset just to come to this pub! As soon as you walk through the door you're welcomed by friendly and approachable bar staff and the locals also welcome you in to their 'group'. The evenings are normally filled with bands, quizzes or themed parties and the staff get just as involved as the customers! I've never been to a pub where the staff welcome you in and treat you like family from the minute you walk through the door, ensuring your comfort and enjoyment. The tasty homemade food is just a bonus! Great portion sizes too! Jane and Andy have done themselves proud and run a clean, friendly and enjoyable local pub! Definitely Worth a visit!

Popped in the other night for a quick and easy pub meal and a beer in a small local pub. Much to my surprise, dinner was off due apparently, the cook being away for the night. (turns out the cook was away on holidays and away for more than just the night). No problems I said, what if I was to get some fish and chips from 2 doors down, then come back and have a Pint or 2 and enjoy the atmosphere with a pint and fish and chips. Sorry sir we don't allow food to be brought in from outside so no that is not possible.

A very good pub to visit, nice owners and staff, a good atmosphere and beer and cider at a reasonable price.

On positive note, staff friendly and atmosphere in pub good. The negative for me is that limited choice of draught beer and always find the lager too gassy.

Probably the worst pub I have ever been in. Rude Bar Staff (Blonde Lady) no atmosphere and music blarring out even though the TV was on. Such a shame as Colebrook is a lovely place within Plymouth and deserves a local friendly pub which this isint. Please do not waste your time visiting this pub.
