Member of staff ignored us stood waiting to buy some drinks until someone she knew came in then started having a chat to them about what they wanted to order. Place was filthy, obviously not seen a brush in a while and the drinks fridge smelt like he had never been cleaned. First and last visit. We put the drinks back and walked out.

Turned up at 1645 for drinks and ice cream for the kids. Website says 1830 closed. I phone the cafe to ask if they was open, to be told they shut early. The play park was full with lots of disappointed kids and Adults. What a waste of time!

I went there today with my family and order one cappuccino and one latte and paid £5 and I had to wait half an hour to get served even though there was very quiet the staff was moving very slow there were three girls working. The cappuccino and my latte was tasteless lots of water with milk and not sure if there was any coffee because didn't taste like coffee. I went back to show them my "late "and girls with dark hair took my coffee in the sink without saying anything not even " sorry" nothing and started to get so annoyed but she started to prepare me another latte without even ask if I will like another one. I politely told her that I don't want another one as he clothes that she used to clean de steamer was discussing and very dirty and I said that I want my money back she got so angry that she decided to ignore me for 15min and then came with £1,50 and said here is your money. Luckly I checked and went back telling her that I paid £5 which she should give me back £2,50. She went in the back of the building and never returned letting me wait there for more than 15 min until her colleague came and gave me another pound. Avoid this place is a waste of money!!!

A regular visitor at breakfast time which is sublime, the Prince Albert a marvellous but occasional challenge. The more sensible (?) full English a real joy. The bacon and egg or mushroom and bacon baps an excellent alternative. If passing later in the day a cuppa and slice of homemade cake will not disappoint. But surpassing all that, the welcome and cheerful friendliness makes this place a very special place.

I went here for a family day out with my kids and my boyfriend and it was very busy which I expect when it a Saturday but once I got in there and put everything down and my kids got a drink and went to play in the park a dog peed up my bag so I left the cafe and sat on the grass it probably more unlikely to have a dog wee up your bag as on the grass the owner didn’t even say sorry the cafe workers just laughed so I said I find something to clean it myself no coming again I will go somewhere else

Popped in here with my daughter for a quick lunch break. We were greeted with a friendly smile and then tried to make a decision from the huge number of choices. For those with little ones, there was also a kids menu. We eventually settled on paninis, which arrived quickly, had loads of filling and a nice fresh salad garnish and were very good value. Lovely spot when the sun is shining - it is on the sunny side of the park, so we were able to sit outside in the November sunshine. Will definitely be back to sample some of the lovely looking cakes!

Seating is inside and out so take your choice according to the weather , sitting outside you can keep an eye on your children in the play area which right alongside , while you enjoy your coffee

Formerly known as the Art Cafe this establishment has undergone major refurbishment and now has beautiful indoor and outdoor seating areas. The menu is good - coffee is cheaper than major chains and food ranges from cake to a full English breakfast. The home made Victoria sponge was fab. Good service and a cracking venue in Victoria Park means you really have to try this place if you want to chill out for a bit and have something to eat or drink.

Visited this cafe for the first time this week. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Dogs are welcome (downstairs only) even when they are wet and muddy ! The menu was really good, some things a bit pricey (£6.95 for an omelette) but, on the whole, very reasonable. The cakes looked fabulous although I resisted. There are steps up to the front but I think there may be disabled access to the back of the cafe. Would definitely visit again. It's great to find somewhere that allows the dogs in with you.

This place is better on a warm sunny day when the park is busy and the cafe is buzzing. Other times I think it's a bit flat and institutional. I particularly like the selection and consistency of the excellent Cakewhole cakes. Great flavours including, I think, gluten free, and whopping great slices.

We visited for a mug of tea and a biscuit when taking our young grandson to Victoria Park this week. We were surprised to find no disabled access so 2 kind young men volunteered to carry the buggy up the steps. The staff were welcoming and friendly but the place was pretty much deserted, just a handful of people sitting outside in the sun. Disappointing all round really.

Open about a week. Careful restoration revival and adaption of old park keepers house to create a biggish community and park users facility with more space upstairs. Right beside an entrance to the park. I think it's owned/managed by the same person who runs the pavillion cafe in bigger Devonport Park roughly a mile away from the new one in Victoria Park. Still only days after official opening but my feeling was that it is a good thing, doing more than go through the community and public facility hoops. The food and hot and cold drinks aren't bad. There is apparently a mission to apply for a booze licence. My impression on our visit was that there has been a lot of enthusiasm effort and planning but the rooms we entered had a basic local authority institutional feel.

I've came here for the first time today and it was quite busy, I had carrot cake and a hot chocolate, the carrot cake was quite nice and the hot chocolate was alright. However the prices are quite high and it seemed quite dirty by the batista machine and on the tables, maybe I just came in at a busy time but the staff were all really lovely and the upstairs has a nice relaxing feeling to it!
