Bon Appetit Plymouth in Plymouth

Dropped in for a casual lunch and had an amazing jerk chicken wrap with plantain on the side. The team were friendly and welcoming but the real star was the jerk chicken wrap that I'll be getting a lot more of in the not too distant.

First time visiting African Delight with my friend who has been eating there for a while, Such lovely friendly service and the food was lovely.

Who thought you'd be able to eat catfish in Plymouth? Bon Appetit gave us food we'd never had before, great advice on what to combine and it turns out that fou-fou is incredible. You get served by Plymouth's answer to Keith Richards, get top value for money and the Plymouth food scene gets better again.

OMG! Best goat curry ever. Bought a takeaway after our meal so I could have it for my lunch tomorrow. Absolutely stunning food. Portions big enough to defeat my husband's appetite. That staff are absolute sweethearts. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back. Would give more stars if I could!

All change. They’ve moved out of the back of the hairdressers to new restaurant only premises two minutes walk up Union Street in the south western quadrant beside the taxi rank. Open from about 1pm through till mid evening everyday except sundays. Simple white set up with several tables. Reasonable eat in menu - rather like at the previous place. They also do collections and deliveries. Not sure that they have yet updated their Facebook or business website. Friendly and there were good smells.

Personal grosero, el hombre del mostrador no tiene servicio al cliente ni modales. ¡Entramos y él nos miró y volvió a mirar su teléfono! No bienvenido, no se ofrecen menús; ni siquiera un hola? ! El lugar en sí olía a freidoras y productos de limpieza químicos. No comimos aquí, no hay forma de que pague por no sentirme bienvenido y es la primera vez que entro en un restaurante para ver a la persona que trabaja allí más interesada en su teléfono y luego poner dinero en su til. Es el mismo hombre que dejó la primera reseña aquí. Tienes una dura competencia con Euten en Fusion Cuisine y Rita, que dirige Mama Ritas, que son profesionales y carismáticos y siempre mantienen sus estándares, sin mencionar que siempre están ocupados. Es triste ver que las otras reseñas aquí hacen eco de mi experiencia.

My girlfriend and I have just got home after waiting a long time to receive our takeaway from the restaurant. We were very excited to get home and were left very disappointed. It was very obvious the people cooking the food had no idea what they were doing, we could here them on the phone to what seemed like they’re parents giving them instructions on what to do. We paid £20 for rice, potatoe, plantain, green banana and a large amount of goat bones. There was no meat in the goat curry whatsoever. I’d go as far as saying there was maybe two mouthfuls of meat.The rice was bland and the sweet potatoe, green banana and plantain was tasteless and over cooked. The food was bland. The portions were tiny. The wait was long. The price for this food was ridiculously overpriced. For the price we paid for this poor food we could have ordered a big unadorned or Chinese takeaway and been satisfied. We won’t ever be returning.

Food was lovely...so tasty! Staff were lovely and so welcoming. Great location for food before going to the Pavilions. It’s such a shame we had to rush to our performance...we would have loved to spend longer over our food. Very tasty and freshly cooked. Thanks guys, delicious. Lovely vegan curry and my husband really enjoyed his chicken curry 👍

We went in tonight. We were made made to feel very welcome. Having lived in both africa and the Caribbean the food is authentic, full of flavour and great value. We will definitely be back to eat again. Don’t miss this little gem in Plymouth. Long may the doors stay open.

I ordered a takeaway from Bon Appetite via Just Eat. I was excited about trying something new. The fact that the meal was an hour late could have been forgiven if the order was correct. We were missing our chips and the chicken wings were burnt to a crisp. The chickpea and sweet potato curry came in two pots. One dry rice and chickpea and one pot of dry potato. No sauce just plain and dry. Shocking. And strangely when I complain to just eat and ask for a refund they don’t send me a link to reviews and don’t send a refund so I am doing it here. I hate leaving poor reviews but feel this is absolutely necessary.

Fantastic Caribbean chicken curry served with rice and salad. Huge portion but I ate a lot more than I thought I would as it was so delicious. Friendly owner, who cooks himself.

It's like eating in a friend's kitchen. Both members of staff were welcoming. The food was gorgeous. Homely atmosphere: a sheer delight

Grate food. Very good customer service make you feel welcome. Grate reggae music while having brilliant Caribbean food. All in all brilliant

Had lovely Caribbean curry beef & rice at Bon Appetit a small Cafe and Resturant in Plymouth that's just opened. The food was beautifully presented, good customer service very friendly and helpfull staff that made feel at home
