Lovely meal with wife and kids over looking the coarse. Friendly staff and value for money. Nice walk through the grounds afterwards

Enjoyed this menu when we stayed there for a mini break. Bar area not huge but we managed to get a table each night. Lovely seating area outside overlooking the golf course if you're lucky with the weather 🙂

We were staying in the hotel and chose to eat in the Brasserie. The bar staff were quite slow and often doing other jobs - I had to go looking for someone to serve us! We ordered food which came quite quickly, fish and chips, gammon and a very tasty thai curry. The prices quite steep though I thought. Had to clear our own table to fit drinks on!

Unfortunately we not only ate in the main restaurant we stayed at the hotel (luckily only for 1 night). We arrived, charming receptionist, but they got the booking completely wrong. So their answer to the problem, separate rooms 600 yards apart. (The second room was complementary though). We went for afternoon tea, and We were completely ignored for about 20 minutes before anyone bothered to serve us. Surly unhelpful girls. Now this is where the sweet bit comes. That evening same staff in the main restaurant, utterly charming!!! Breakfast was awful, self service, cold food, room not cleaned from the previous evening. All in all unless you just want to play golf, don't bother going.

you get very good food here but the price of food and drink is too much for most people's pockets. If they brought the prices down they would get more custom.

I ate here when I stayed at the hotel. It was alright but not wild about it. The place was empty and had no atmosphere at all. Quite often there was no one serving at the bar.

Had cause to be hanging about the Elfordleigh a couple of times over the last month because a colleague has been staying here. The whole hotel is a bit old fashioned semi suburban golf clubby kind of place. Seems as if the Brasserie is an attempt to make things a bit more relaxed. My first impression was that it was underused and that it had been recently decorated in an early eighties rugby club bar style with easy wipe floor for spilt beer and worse. There was one couple eating on one visit and a table for four on the other. Almost no one using the bar itself. I would not come here especially and if I was staying in the hotel I would probably try to arrange transport to a local pub or into town.

When waiting at the bar there were no bar staff .....after waiting 20 minutes I went to reception and the bar staff were there, to which they then came and served us. Didn't get the room we actually paid for either. Food wasn't to our taste. Disappointed.

Dropped in for a casual lunch and had an amazing jerk chicken wrap with plantain on the side. The team were friendly and welcoming but the real star was the jerk chicken wrap that I'll be getting a lot more of in the not too distant.

Last Saturday (9th Nov), we booked a table for a large group (18 people) for our Grandma's 90th birthday. Extended family came from all over the UK to celebrate her milestone and catch up after a long while not seeing each other. We had a wonderful evening and think it's worth telling you how great it was and why. Not only did the menu suit a very mixed bag of preferences with such variety, but it catered so well to our coeliac 7 year old niece. This is so important and great - there's often only a few options for her in various eateries and as she's so young, she can feel left out/sad about this. Her face lit up when she saw the option to have gluten-free calamari (her favourite!) and the team also went above and beyond by offering to make one of the not advertised GF options (halloumi burger) GF. Also on the food generally, everyone absolutely loved their dishes (the steaks went down very well and were cooked to perfection!). Also as a long-term tee-totaller I want to commend you on the range of alcohol-free options you have on offer, loved the AF Riesling! Now to Gordy. He was our main server for the night and made the night! He was friendly and welcoming, accommodating and patient with our rabble and incredible with our three little-uns. He was also so kind and funny with all of us, particularly our Grandma - he went out of his way to check in with her/make her laugh and make her feel special through the night. He also noted our 7 year old niece reading Harry Potter after dinner and made a point of telling her and my brother/sister in law how beautiful it is to see a child reading in a restaurant (presumably there's often a lot of phones/tablets involved!) - just demonstrating how attentive and lovely he is! Thank you team, and Gordy in particular, for such a lovely evening all round. We've been many times before and it is always great, but this one was a massive highlight. Will definitely be back! The Drakes

My nieces christening was hosted here and the buffet was hands down the best I have ever had. Such variety and presented to an incredible standard. They even made the most beautiful and tastiest cake. We highly recommend La Bouche for any events where you need a great spread. thanks to all the staff there and Liz for her friendly service x
