My daughter & I went to Yo Sushi for her birthday & we tried out the bottomless sushi. It was brilliant! The selection of food on offer was amazing, they were constantly updating it & created a great variety. We were sat opposite the chefs as they worked which was interesting. They were really chatty & engaging which was lovely & they made a fuss of my daughter & even let her try her hand at rolling some sushi! It was honestly such a brilliant experience. Everyone from the manager to the servers were amazing & the food was delicious. My daughter had the best birthday, thank you!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we got sat down pretty quickly and we had dicided what we wanted but we hadnt gor serverd in 35 minutes even though people that came later than us wete getting service causing us to leave the restaurant but it took another 10 minutes to even ask to pay and still said that we would have to wait another 5 minutes to even leave,when we told the waitress that we couldn’t even order she just said “well im very sorry that happened” when it was her fault,she took a single playe of our bill which was the cheapest one and we just left starving causing us to go somewhere else

Brilliant lunch. Delicious selection, and prompt service. Will come again when we next visit Drakes Circus.

I’m giving this 5 stars for service for mainly the chef Tom! He interacted with us whilst preparing food whilst we waited for ours. My daughter was wearing her chiefs hoodie and he had a conversation with her about rugby. As always the food was amazing! We regularly visit yo at drakes and will continue to do so.

Our waitresses, Anna was super kind and happy to help with anything. I really enjoyed eating at Yo Sushi and would gladly return any time

We had treated my daughter and her cousin to a sushi making class. The class was great and the chef Kris was really friendly and knowledgeable. Fully recommend. The only thing I feel that Yo Sushi 🍣 could improve is to consider doing the course in Exeter, we had to travel an hour and a half. Also I think it would be great if there was a certificate for the students that attended the course

This is some of the worst sushi I’ve ever seen or eaten. Only fish is salmon. Awful. Avoid unless you’re going to murder someone because you’re hungry.

1st visit really enjoyed the salmon and tuna sushi, some veggie ones were available but no duck or chicken ones, even though they were advertised on the menu.

Staff were not the most attentive as it was hard to get there attention. Food was amazing. It's been about 15 years since I've eaten at a yo! The nostalgia was very real. My chicken teriyaki was a bit salty and I was not allowed a doggie bag to bring the rest with me. Not sure what the reasoning is here but otherwise some top noche was had.

The neck bearded Manager at this restaurant was absolutely disgraceful towards his staff, I could see his horrible scowl from my table towards these poor teenage girls. As a mother of 3 I think it’s despicable to see such acts towards young woman in our generation, it’s always so busy and the younger workers look so tired out . Makes me wonder if they even get breaks because my food wouldn’t be hygienic if that were the case.

Had mother and daughter lunch today and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The service was outstanding. Will definatly fo back again and again.

We had a lovely date night here learning to cook sushi with Kris. He was such a brilliant teacher and made it totally worthwhile. I would really recommend it as an activity for any couple or even families, super fun to learn about sushi and you get a lot of sushi - we had leftovers and were both stuffed.

Great staff and amazing chefs at the Plymouth branch. We had a lovely experience and were helped by all of the staff, especially our waitress Molly. Overall we had a lovely experience and ate some amazing sushi!

We visited at around 6pm on a Saturday evening, very good and fresh food and service was great too. Easy to order and nice and quick if you don’t have long to sit down and eat. Only thing is music is slightly too loud. Everything else was great :)

Never normally take the time to do reviews but my experience of discrimination at this branch was really awful. I have multiple invisible disabilities that cause chronic pain and often have to ask for a booth seat (which is usually very kindly accommodated as I understand that’s not always easy to do so when there’s only two guests) and my last visit was no different and my boyfriend and I asked for a booth as I was in a lot of pain and when we politely asked we were refused before we had a chance to explain - and when my boyfriend elaborated on the reasoning our server threw our menus on the table then stormed off telling us to “sit down”. I thought nothing of it as I assumed she was busy but then the experience got worse as multiple guests came in, were seated and served before us. We asked a really kind member of staff for help who was unfortunately busy with a Deliveroo order, which is completely understandable but she went and reminded our server which was really kind of her. Our server then loudly complained, with the intention of us hearing as they were staring directly at us, saying “they took a booth at an inconvenient time - they can wait I don’t care” and also proceeded to call me lazy. This really upset me and made me so uncomfortable I had to leave and reduced me to tears. It’s really difficult to pluck up the courage sometimes to ask for accommodation for me accessibility needs and this experience really made me feel awful. Please be considerate that not all disabilities are visible - we ask for help because we have no option but to, not because we’re feeling “lazy”. I’m so disappointed.

Amazing meal, and the service was exceptional. Usually service can be quite challenging at most Yo's but here they were super attentive and receptive to my needs.

Poor, not in any stretch of the imagination is this value for money and someone needs to tell the staff that the customer is key to Longevity.

Took 2 hours for my order to arrive, kept pushing my estimated delivery time back so that it didn’t look as bad but it took AGES! The food finally arrived and was pretty poor, seemed like it had been sat out for ages. Last time I’m ordering from here.

somehow my sushi box was covered in water on one side that to avocado rolls and made them impossible to eat . haven't received wasabi that i paid for , edamame in water without anything else just soybean in warmish water... and driver was not bothered to deliver to the door , bit shocking those days specially for disabled person, sort of disappointed with that experience ... on plus side really nice tuna cut

I don’t normally bother reviewing chains but I was surprised by what a confusing, overall negative experience I had at my first visit to YoSushi where it took 5 minutes to eventually figure out it was self service. Evasive staff, unclear system. But nice enough sushi! I enjoyed the crunchy hoisin duck although the promised crunch was lacking. Also got the tofu inari tacos (not pictured). Reliable, yummy as usual.

Only giving 1 star as I am unable to rate no stars. My order was never delivered despite waiting for 3 hours. I rang the restaurant and was told they have already made the order but no driver has turned up. Unable to contact just eat other than send an email and wait up to 7 working days for a response.

Ramen was awful. Shame as it’s not normally bad. Broth was really really salty and sweet. We eat Ramens a lot and this was a big disappointment Service wasn’t good either.

Our server was lovely, and our experience was made perfect by Amy, who was behind the belt. She was communicative and friendly, and is an asset to your team. It was busy when we came in, but our food came out in good time. Amy kept us updated throughout despite being busy making dishes, and talking to other customers. The team are on-the-ball and no customers were left waiting for more than 10 seconds before they were seen to. This was the epitome of great customer service and we will definately be coming back - great food, great staff!

I order from Yo! a lot and normally it’s very tasty and it exactly what I need however this time it tasted delicious but it made me very unwell I’m not sure what part of my order it was I just thought I would let you know that maybe the preparation and storage could’ve been better

Me and my husband came in today for the first time in over a year and I must say the food was amazing! My husband especially loved the crunchy California roll. Brilliant service from a young lady called Shania and I will definitely be visiting again!

First time eating here, personally believe it was an odd place for a restaurant, though regardless I couldn't be happier. The pricing is fair, I spent less than anticipated for the food. The service was phenomenal, Izzy and the chef (whomst was wearing glasses, didn't catch their name) had spoken too briefly were both lovely, the chef even turned on the heater after over hearing she was cold. And Izzy is an amazing example of waiting staff, couldn't of asked for anything else from them. Was a great evening, and I definitely see myself doing back.

I last went here in January 2023 and I was hugely disappointed then: there was only one waiter who was extremely harassed, the table was dirty, the menu was dirty, the belt was redundant, and worst of all there were bones and gristle in the sashimi *vom* (and no-one even cared when I showed it to them!!!). I was very sceptical and hesitant to ever come here again despite being a Yo! Sushi! aficionado before the pandemic. But I was in a hurry to get dinner on 22/02/2024 so I decided to give it one last chance... and I was actually really impressed! It appears that they have turned the place around. They have done away with the ordering by app nonsense and the waitress was really attentive. The belt was actually in operation with food going around on it like in pre-pandemic times, and the sashimi was delicious! I had written it off, but I feel like I can now come here again. I would recommend that someone cleans the menus though, it's not the best first impression :P

Expensive, they don't give you chopsticks oe soy sauce anymore when you get it delivered. Go to Yukisan or KuKu instead

We went to do the sushi school for Valentine's Day. It was great fun as a date, a really enjoyable experience and lots to eat as well! Indra was wonderful. Would definitely recommend the sushi school.

went in for a family meal with 4 of us, the table was tiny but only some of the food was nice the other food was cold hard and overall very bad. as this isnt our local yo sushi we expcted better

40 minutes wait for 1 vegetarian dish, place was only half full. Very disappointing spot.

The place is always so tempting! Even though they brought back the conveyor belt，the food on it looked unappetising and messy in scratched plastic covers. The sashimi had bones and was not cut property. The hot vasabi peas arrived cold. We were offered a partial refund. The staff is hard to blame they seem extremely busy on the floor. The take out is unreliable: the portions of the katsu curry vary from one day to another a lot. If yo wants to survive in the competitive market they need to do better.

Food was cold and oily, I ordered at15:30 and arrived at 16:45.

Ordered for delivery katsu curry was over cooked then cold and rubbery. Half of our food didn’t turn up but they weren’t bothered as they were closing and kitchen had been switched off. Very very poor!!!!!

Very messy place, staff did not know what to do, we had to wait half an hour to be told that our order hadn't been taken correctly so our food was not made. And it's overpriced. Certainly not coming back.

The people that work here are the highlight of this place. The staff is so kind and makes the whole experience so enjoyable. The chicken gyoza , chicken two ways and chicken katsu were my favourite. Tom is a wonderful manager and goes the extra mile to give us a great experience overall.

Went to eat there a few months ago now...only found out that both my kids could have eaten for free. Staff didn't even let us know. Shocking not what we are used to when eating at yo!!! Come on guy get your act together.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience in Yo! this evening. We received a very warm welcome from our server Anna, who was attentive and helpful throughout. It took us a while to decipher the menu’s vegan & vegetarian options, but we pleasantly surprised to see so many choices. We tried 6 dishes and particularly enjoyed the mock duck yakisoba and the unlimited miso soup. My wife said it was probably the best miso she’d ever had, flavourful and packed with plenty of vegetables and tofu. Even though it was almost closing time, we never felt rushed and were so impressed by Anna and her colleague Tom’s friendly manner. Good food is obviously the primary yardstick for a restaurant – but to us the service is equally important. We had great food, and even better service from two lovely people. We’ll certainly return to try more of the vegetarian/vegan options.

Bit grubby Stupidly overpriced Get take out.

Oh dear, this “restaurant” is a shambles. We initially ordered take-away food but decided to eat in… we were told that there would be an additional charge for eating in the restaurant which we were fine with (until we realised they had actually charged us £16 extra to sit inside the restaurant) To be honest we wouldn’t have bothered ordering food from here in the first place if we had known in advance that it would take the staff over one hour to bring the food to us. We also had to ask the staff to clean the dirty table as it still hadn’t been cleaned from the previous customers eating there, even after we’d been sitting for 15 minutes. We also had to ask for chop sticks, wasabi and for a soy sauce bowl (the first bowl that was bought to be hadn’t even been cleaned and had somebody else’s food residue in it) the cups provided to drink out of also looked dirty. Overall really disappointing to be charged more than double the cost of the food price to sit inside an unhygienic and dirty restaurant with slow staff. Will not be returning and will be warning people against.
