My server was Shania she was really good at explaining the menu after I told of about an allergy

Had lunch here with some friends. Aside from the price being a little higher than I would have liked, the food was good and the staff were really friendly. Hats off to put waitress Lucy :)

Ellie and Tom were amazing, so kind and caring and the food was incredible. Ellie checked in with us multiple times to ensure we were happy and Tom is an absolute wizard at sushi!!

Decided to try it out for the first time and I am very pleased. Will be returning. Fun atmosphere, lovely staff - special thanks to Layla and the team for looking after us! Would definitely recommend to try it out if you are walking around drake circus. £30 all together for our 2 meals and drinks - not bad.

We came here for a late lunch on my birthday recently. We were very well treated from the start - Diana was our server and she did a good job of making sure we were comfortable, checking if we were familiar with the way Yo! works, recommending from the new menu etc. All the rest of the staff were polite and helpful and the atmosphere was fine - there were plenty of other people there but we could hear each other speaking. The cooks were very happy to talk to us about different dishes and make sure we had wasabi when we ran out. The food itself was really good - sashimi (my favourite) more generously cut than at some times in the past and five pieces as standard rather than four. I'm docking a point just because my partner found the spicy seafood udon (his favourite) too salty - and he normally has a great tolerance for salt! (Yes, he should have mentioned it.) I also really wish the company would revert to its original salt and pepper squid recipe - it was delicious before but now both taste and texture are disappointing. But I still love eating at Yo!

Great, casual dining experience at YO! Sushi today. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Layla ensured our food was up to standard and that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

I have an intolerance to onion so I needed to order something specifically without onions they didn’t have any California rolls for instance without crunchy onions on top which is a big issue for me. Stood at the front of the counter I put in the rest of my orders into the touchscreen. Try to make eyes with 506 staff with her. It wasn’t a busy day. All of them looked absolutely miserable like they’d rather be somewhere anywhere other than Yo, Tried to speak to them no one caught my eye. Absolute bunch of misery accused started for me behind me even though it was a slow day. It took so long. They ended up to be about five people there. Got so embarrassing I left. Speechless, so bad

We were seated quickly and explained the concept. Food was delicious but not much variety at all on the belt. The whole time we were there only 1 pancakes went by. Other than that it was the same things. We ordered mains too. Ample size portions. We left very full and satisfied. Would definitely recommend and return.

Me and my family went for the sushi making experience. Best decision. We had Kris serving us, and he was an absolute jem, he was polite and very patient when we inevitably messed up our sushi. He managed to teach us the history, how we can make it at home and what his favourite pairings are, He was funny and respectful, and was definitely passionate about the food he was teaching us to make. The value for money is brilliant as you walk out with about as much sushi as you pay per person, plus the experience.

First time visit and it was amazing. We were sat immediately in a quiet section which was great with a little one. Shown the menu which had a wide range of options and could order at any point. The favourite part though was the belt and being able to pick what we wanted as it came past, it all looked fantastic. All throughout we had regular check ins with Lucy who couldn't do enough to make sure we were okay. Definitely coming back, massive shout out to the team and especially Lucy who was great.

Absolutely the worst quality sushi I've eaten and let's not even talk about the prices!!! Staff were friendly though.

Staff were lovely. Needed a better selection of food on the conveyor belt. Was disappointed with the 10% service charge (I know it’s optional, and I still paid it) as we did most of the work ourselves taking things off the conveyor.

Tinkerbell was an amazing waitress. Helpful, friendly and great customer service. Her 2nd day here and she was fab. Made the food worth it.

Asked for the sushi katsu Sando in picture one. It is shown to be a sushi sized sandwich and what turned up was shreds of chicken made into a regular sushi roll. What an awful bit of quality control and experience. Don’t add things to the menu if it cannot be delivered as stated.

Came to Plymouth on Saturday and this is exactly what we needed! The sushi was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress Aisha was brilliant and so friendly!

Friendly staff and fast service despite it being super busy

It's not delicious. The food does not match the picture. It's written on the menu that ramen comes with eggs, but I'm here twice, and there are no eggs for three bowls of noodles, which deceives consumers. And there is no notice before ordering.

Lovely time as usual! The food is great, especially if you have their rewards card and you get a voucher. The staff are great, and thanks to Holly who showed us a lovely time!

Haven't been to a YO Sushi for 10 years. Enjoyed a nice lunch today. It was very busy, but the staff were great. Particularly Holly who was friendly, attentive and efficient. I won't leave it another ten years after that experience.

The service was good. The sushi is no longer made fresh, the same dishes were going around at room temperature for the hour we were there. Sushi quality was one of the worst I’ve had, very roughly cut, falling apart and mushy. Disappointing experience when we paid £35 for a tea, a juice, 5 gyozas and 3 sushi plates.

I had a lovely encounter with Shania, such a lovely girl. She was so kind and she helped me and a choose what to order without making us feel pressured to order quickly. The service was great!

Server/ Cook called Izzy and another called Diana were fantastic!!!!! Made us feel so comfortable & really brought a joy i haven’t had from servers in various places before. Give them a raise!!!!!! The curry was wonderful too

Haven’t eaten at yo! Sushi for a long time so was looking forward to it and was excited to use my blue light card for 20% discount and free gyoza - got there and my friend and I were seated in a very cramped area around the food belt. I was shocked to see how much the prices had gone up (and the plate sizes had not) Service was slow for ordering off the menu. The sushi was ok but nowhere near worth the price. The yo! Fries which I used to love were basic and the portion was tiny! My friend ordered a rice dish that was so oily it was inedible. When paying we were told blue light discount wasn’t available on Saturdays (the only reason we went!!) and neither was my friends student discount and the bill came to nearly £70! Even a small coke cost about £4!? Would much rather have spent it at one of Plymouth’s small business Asian restaurants and wouldn’t have spent half the price to be honest..lesson learnt! Dissapointing experience. Will not be back!

Came in a few weeks ago and it was all amazing. We had one wheelchair user and one with allergies and the server (Diana) couldn't be more helpful. We had everything explained to us and prompt service whenever we needed it. The food was awesome. I had a rice bowl and it wax a lot more filling then i expected.It was all so lovely and we can't wait to come again.

Recently took part in the sushi school in plymouth as a group. I don't normally leave reviews but it was such a good experience so i thought i would highlight this. Kris, took the school and it was clear he was passionate about it. He was highly knowledgeable with local tips on where to get ingredients and the different equipment you might use. The atmosphere was great and the rest of the staff were attentive whenever we needed anything. Would recommend giving the school a go!

When we turned up at yo in Plymouth..Shania welcomed us with a pleasant smile asked us all questions..we were seated and menus explained... when scanning the q.i code which didn't work unfortunately.. its been a few years since we have been to yo my husband and I did notice the price increase but we guessed that was necessary .. the food was absolutely amazing and presented marvellous I had. The fire cracker rice I got asked if I wanted to go large for an extra fee I did and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount it was soo yummy.. my husband had the spicey seafood ..? But it looked beautiful.. I had ask for a fork as I not so easy with the chopsticks.. tho what has happened to the wooden easy use ones.....we paid the bill .. absolutely great service. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I tried the tacos and the candyfloss cheesecake for the first time and they were utterly delightful. I hope I remember their names correctly. My server Lucy was so friendly and helpful, an absolute sweetie. One of the chefs, I think his name was Brandon. He was lovely to chat to. We got talking about books. I left with a very happy tummy and a book recommendation, which I always love. Thank you ever so much for a lovely experience. The best will always be Plymouth Yo Sushi! In Drake Circus.

My daughter and her friend attended Sushi School in Plymouth and was looked after by Chris who was friendly patient and good fun. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed being shown how to make three different types of Sushi and is looking forward to going again. We ate in the restaurant afterwords and the food was fresh and tasty as always.

Very friendly staff. Wonderful inviting atmosphere. A MUST VISIT for anyone hungry for Sushi.

OK experience. Quite a lot missing from the menu. Only told about service charge when the bill was queried. This should be down to our discretion. The charge was over 10% which didn't reflect on the service given. absorbent price on a can of Fanta. Will we come again...probably not

My mum’s first experience of Yo! Sushi and it didn’t disappoint. Waitress, Evie, suggested the beef teriyaki for my mum as she didn’t know what to have and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Exceptional service, greeting and information about how to order and pay and allergy awareness. She is a credit to the company, very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next visit.

Aisha in Plymouth was lovely and friendly and the food tasted great.

We have been to YoSushi a few times, and the food and staff are always lovely. Our favourite dish has to be the pumpkin katsu curry. Only improvement would be vegan desserts.

Diana made us feel welcomed and was extremely helpful and overall we had a really positive experience. The foid was lovely. Thank you.

Amy and Isabella were both friendly and helpful. The dining experience was quick and efficient. Props to the staff who are able to work efficiently in such tight spaces, as this location feels quite crowded, especially during peak times.

The Boss is so lovely and always checking up on us! Managed to recognise it because me and my best friend come often enough! Food is always delicious and fresh!
