YO! Plymouth in Plymouth

Lovely time as usual! The food is great, especially if you have their rewards card and you get a voucher. The staff are great, and thanks to Holly who showed us a lovely time!

Haven't been to a YO Sushi for 10 years. Enjoyed a nice lunch today. It was very busy, but the staff were great. Particularly Holly who was friendly, attentive and efficient. I won't leave it another ten years after that experience.

The service was good. The sushi is no longer made fresh, the same dishes were going around at room temperature for the hour we were there. Sushi quality was one of the worst I’ve had, very roughly cut, falling apart and mushy. Disappointing experience when we paid £35 for a tea, a juice, 5 gyozas and 3 sushi plates.

I had a lovely encounter with Shania, such a lovely girl. She was so kind and she helped me and a choose what to order without making us feel pressured to order quickly. The service was great!

Sushi class. Absolutely amazing way to spend a Sunday morning. Kris our instructor was very informative and made the experience very enjoyable. Great value for money

Had a lovely time ! We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff from the minute we arrived. Izzy, Diana, Tilly, Mikey and Louis you all deserve a raise ! Thankyou for the wonderful meal it made our day 😊

Server/ Cook called Izzy and another called Diana were fantastic!!!!! Made us feel so comfortable & really brought a joy i haven’t had from servers in various places before. Give them a raise!!!!!! The curry was wonderful too

Haven’t eaten at yo! Sushi for a long time so was looking forward to it and was excited to use my blue light card for 20% discount and free gyoza - got there and my friend and I were seated in a very cramped area around the food belt. I was shocked to see how much the prices had gone up (and the plate sizes had not) Service was slow for ordering off the menu. The sushi was ok but nowhere near worth the price. The yo! Fries which I used to love were basic and the portion was tiny! My friend ordered a rice dish that was so oily it was inedible. When paying we were told blue light discount wasn’t available on Saturdays (the only reason we went!!) and neither was my friends student discount and the bill came to nearly £70! Even a small coke cost about £4!? Would much rather have spent it at one of Plymouth’s small business Asian restaurants and wouldn’t have spent half the price to be honest..lesson learnt! Dissapointing experience. Will not be back!

Came in a few weeks ago and it was all amazing. We had one wheelchair user and one with allergies and the server (Diana) couldn't be more helpful. We had everything explained to us and prompt service whenever we needed it. The food was awesome. I had a rice bowl and it wax a lot more filling then i expected.It was all so lovely and we can't wait to come again.

Recently took part in the sushi school in plymouth as a group. I don't normally leave reviews but it was such a good experience so i thought i would highlight this. Kris, took the school and it was clear he was passionate about it. He was highly knowledgeable with local tips on where to get ingredients and the different equipment you might use. The atmosphere was great and the rest of the staff were attentive whenever we needed anything. Would recommend giving the school a go!

The food was absolutely phenomenal. I tried the tacos and the candyfloss cheesecake for the first time and they were utterly delightful. I hope I remember their names correctly. My server Lucy was so friendly and helpful, an absolute sweetie. One of the chefs, I think his name was Brandon. He was lovely to chat to. We got talking about books. I left with a very happy tummy and a book recommendation, which I always love. Thank you ever so much for a lovely experience. The best will always be Plymouth Yo Sushi! In Drake Circus.

When we turned up at yo in Plymouth..Shania welcomed us with a pleasant smile asked us all questions..we were seated and menus explained... when scanning the q.i code which didn't work unfortunately.. its been a few years since we have been to yo my husband and I did notice the price increase but we guessed that was necessary .. the food was absolutely amazing and presented marvellous I had. The fire cracker rice I got asked if I wanted to go large for an extra fee I did and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount it was soo yummy.. my husband had the spicey seafood ..? But it looked beautiful.. I had ask for a fork as I not so easy with the chopsticks.. tho what has happened to the wooden easy use ones.....we paid the bill .. absolutely great service. My daughter and her friend attended Sushi School in Plymouth and was looked after by Chris who was friendly patient and good fun. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed being shown how to make three different types of Sushi and is looking forward to going again. We ate in the restaurant afterwords and the food was fresh and tasty as always.

Tilly and Lucy were excellent hosts today, a little bit of plastic in the cheesecake downed the experience but not enough to complain about

OK experience. Quite a lot missing from the menu. Only told about service charge when the bill was queried. This should be down to our discretion. The charge was over 10% which didn't reflect on the service given. absorbent price on a can of Fanta. Will we come again...probably not

My mum’s first experience of Yo! Sushi and it didn’t disappoint. Waitress, Evie, suggested the beef teriyaki for my mum as she didn’t know what to have and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Exceptional service, greeting and information about how to order and pay and allergy awareness. She is a credit to the company, very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next visit.

Aisha in Plymouth was lovely and friendly and the food tasted great.

We have been to YoSushi a few times, and the food and staff are always lovely. Our favourite dish has to be the pumpkin katsu curry. Only improvement would be vegan desserts.

Diana made us feel welcomed and was extremely helpful and overall we had a really positive experience. The foid was lovely. Thank you.

Amy and Isabella were both friendly and helpful. The dining experience was quick and efficient. Props to the staff who are able to work efficiently in such tight spaces, as this location feels quite crowded, especially during peak times.

The Boss is so lovely and always checking up on us! Managed to recognise it because me and my best friend come often enough! Food is always delicious and fresh!

My partner and I went to do the sushi school experience and it was amazing! We had Kris as our instructor and he was so lovely and helpful, giving us lots of information about sushi and how to make it and also gave us lots of confidence to go home and make it ourselves! I visited Yo Sushi a few days ago in Plymouth Drake Corcus, it’s not the first time I go there and the food never disappoints. This time however I would not only like to praise their amazing food which by the way that seafood ramen was amazing and spicy and perrrfect for a cold and rainy weather! But I also like to thank Diana for her very warm welcome and amazing service, she made sure I don’t need anything and recommended that great cotton candy cheesecake! Ellie who was preparing the delicious sushi across the bar was great and despite being busy preparing food she chatted with me, she also made sure that cheesecake was ready in no time! Thank you Diana and Ellie and all the staff at Yo Sushi for your great service and food, I look forward to seeing you again soon!

We had a lovely bottomless meal tonight. Brandon made lovely food for us - he saw we were eyeing up the desserts on the menu and made sure we got them ! Lovely service by him, Holly, Izzy, and Amy, despite it being rather busy!

Food was sooo niceeee mmmmmm we was both vegetarian so don’t even like fish but the sushi was so nice especially the katsu curry!!! Staff were soo friendly as well we’re actually besties now, cant wait to come next time!!

My boyfriend and I just attended a sushi making class, hosted by Kris. We've made sushi at home before, so knew the basics but the session was still very informative and helpful. Kris was very knowledgeable and very good at checking in with everyone, making sure we were on the right track and each had a roll we wanted to eat! We were welcome to customise our rolls however we liked, with sauces and roll fillings etc. Thank you for a really enjoyable session and delicious food!

The food was so heavenly tasty that me & the family ate it while in a trance and didn't notice much of anything else.

Lauren served me here today at around 1 pm and she was absolutely amazing and so friendly. Felt very welcomed by staff, chef was also great to speak to.I loved all the sushi here, my 2nd time, always feel refreshed and energised by the food here.

Yo Sushi Plymouth is a must, especially on a Thursday evening, bottomless belt special; the conveyer belt was jam-packed with a huge variety of items off of the menu, including desserts! A bargain, if I do say so myself! Fantastic service by all servers, very attentive, prompt and friendly, especially Holly and another young lady who brought us to our seats, as well as the staff behind the counter preparing fresh food; everybody was an absolute delight to talk to! All in all, the staff tonight were amazing, 11/10! Fantastic fresh food, great atmosphere and super duper service! I've been before and I'd happily go again and again! Highly recommend a try!

Absolutely awful. Waited an hour for sushi that smelled awful tuna was pale and looks off. Items missing. Absolutely gutted.

Sushi quality is pretty low, they put a slice of lemon on the fish (??), no wasabi no soy sauce no ginger, the cheesecake was awful, terribly overpriced place.

I made the order time 45 minutes in advance and it still came 45 minutes late, and cold.

i paid extra for ginger wasabi and soya sauce but only got one soya and one ginger and no wasabi . disappointed as don't really enjoy sushi without the condiments .

We went for the sushi making class and it was brilliant! Kris was a great host and so knowledgable. There was a range of dietary requirements but Kris made sure everyone felt included. I’d recommend to anyone

Understaffed so just one server. Table on baby seat collapsed dropping food on floor. No replacement food offered. Not at all child friendly as impossible to get baby seat anywhere near a table.

Food is always amazing here. And always busy, just to prove how good it is. Drinks are a little pricey for what you get. When you compare it to Slim Chickens right next to Yo, where you get refills for free. But all in all, it's not a bad place to eat

Great lunchtime visit here. Food was great as always. Was a little busier then when I usually visit but Aisha was super helpful and friendly.

Was seated and then just not served after we received our drinks. We waited about 30 minutes before deciding to just cut our losses, pay for the drinks and leave. Would give zero for service if possible.

Fantastic experience on 5th July. First time at a Yo Sushi, needed a quick-as-possible bite to eat as had an appointment. Molly and Amy were the servers on and explained everything really clearly and quickly. Felt really well looked after!! Also made sure there were veggie options for me (huge thanks to the female chef that day too!!). Rays of sunshine, Yo Sushi are lucky to have you all!
