We ate here 2 nights in a row when staying at a local caravan park. The staff are lovely and the food is outstanding. Hats off to the chef (Garry I think); he certainly knows his food. Thanks for 2 lovely evenings. First night we paid £40 per couple but the second night we had a lot of wine and desserts so the price went up to £70 per couple. Really good value

Lovely place in historic atmospheric Tudor building with views over Firestone Bay beach Drakes Island and Mt Edgecumb, Simple unfussy quality seasonal food with a running theme of rosemary and roasted garlic for first day of summer. The menu was stripped back as was the great wine list at all levels and reasonably priced. Every course was economical and faultlessly unflashy, same goes for relaxed unobtrusive service, highly recommend.

Instalaciones limitadas pero justo en el corazón de todas esas bicicletas encantadoras. Siéntate adentro o afuera bajo techo. . Gran café también.

Honestly can’t recommend them enough, I accidentally like a dumbass placed my order from pickup getting confused on the location. After calling then notified my my food was ready, in no time at all may I add, and understood my mishap. They contacted their manager which worked with me and helped me get the food delivered. The food was 10/10 and matched their hospitality.

Large clean room . Surprised, no biscuits supplied! On 2 occasions, housekeeping knocked on my door to come and clean at 8.00 am. The second time, I had put out the sustainable stay hanger on the door, which is meant to prevent room cleaning.!! The bed itself was comfy but the pillows were very hard and that's why I didn't get a goid night's sleep over the 5 days I was there. The breakfast next door at the Fishbone was poor standard. A couple of mornings there were no fried eggs, only scrambled, which didn't look very appetising. The orange juice had run out twice, and I had to ask for it. Generally not good. I was there to visit my partner in hospital each day, so I didn't have a choice. I certainly didn't eat in the restaurant at night as it was quite pricey and guessed it would be the same standard as breakfast. I will say the staff were lovely...very pleasant and helpful.

What a surprise find. We ate in after a hospital visit, but there were quite a few people waiting for takeaway. Service was very friendly and helpful. The menu varied with good options for vegetarians and all reasonably priced. The food is cooked freshly to order and everything we ordered tasted great, the crispy squid was amazing. Will definitely return and would certainly recommend.

I’ve ordered from here many times over the years Today I ordered a special fried box, which is my normal ordered. I ordered with prawn, I literally got 6 very small prawns. I’ve had this before and the prawns were jumbo prawns. Today’s lunch was very disappointing, sadly. There had been a “light” price increase, and I got smaller and less prawns? When I order with chicken I get loads of chicken. I decided to treat myself today for 50p more for prawns and got significantly less prawns than previously and literally slithers of veg, and much less veg than when I’ve previously ordered this dish, but lots of rice. Not sure I’ll be ordering from here again, sadly.

I was waiting in the queue waiting to pay by cash at the kiosk. They took 25 minutes to come to us saying "Are you ready to order?" Me and my retail partner was discussed by the workers attitude as they stared at us; in the meantime; they were standing still time wasting to pass the time. The food was the usual, but the customer service just wasnt on point. Many thanks. Oscar.
