always super lovely food. i genuinely look forward to coming here. it’s such a shame/inconvenience that they close from 2-4:30 though —— prime lunch time :(

Don't try to pre order with 'just eat', and expect your food to be ready on time! Pre ordered at 4pm for a collection at 6pm. Got there for 5.45pm, waited around until 5.55pm to be told 'I will just have to wait because they are busy', got my order at 6.25pm! I didn't have time to eat mine as had to collect my son from a party finishing at 7pm, hence the pre order! It would have been quicker to queue and order at the time of arrival. Also with just eat you pay extra for a service charge and a carrier bag, I was not given it in a bag just dumped on the counter but a guy in front of me who pre ordered had his all bagged in a paper bag. I felt like an inconvenience for them. Lesson learnt. It's OK being told to order it at a less busy time but how would a Customer know when this would be if the staff themselves don't even know this or know how to cope with it when it's busy,??? I just thought that was the whole point of pre-ordering food at 4pm as surely at that time it would have been slightly less busy!

Really nice food. All freshly cooked and good price. Didn't have to wait too long even though it was very busy. Staff were efficient and friendly. Just one small piece of feedback. We got a couple of the barbecue chicken and chips boxes, and a cheesy chips and because the cheese was sprinked over the top it all stuck to the inside of the cardboard box lid amd we had to pick and scrape it all off. It's worth having a think about how to serve it up so this doesn't happen.

Had just chips from here a few times and they are without doubt in the top 3 for chips I've ever eaten (I've had a LOT of chips being 55 yrs young). I will happily wait until I get back from a day out to call in as they're that good. Medium chips is HUGE too. Well done peeps 😊😊😊

Was recommended to me, so gave it a try. I just wanted chips and curry sauce on top. £4.80. Chips were average but the minimal amount of bland curry sauce was very tight. Didn't even get to bottom of tray. Service was as disinterested as a nun at a strip club. I'm sorry but my lasting memory of the food and experience was not great. However, well done on have Epos payment and the place did look clean and inviting. Must have been a bad day.🤔

Had a very good fish and chips here last night, wasn't too pricey and came in at under a tenner. Decent fish size to.

Overcooked and dried battered sausage. Chips over fried until its biting into with no potato inside. And curry sauce so thick that its just a lump in the pot. This chippy has gone down hill recently, after tonight I am officially done with ordering from there. What a disappointing experience.

Don't get me wrong, it was a Friday night and very busy!! We waited just short of an hour because of those people who ordered on line had priority. Everything was stopped for these drivers to pick up the orders. Food was delicious 😋 though.

Food was nice,but the ladies could have worn gloves,I ordered before Christmas and went in again for the 2nd time and they still didn't wear gloves when handling food

The chips are always top quality and taste like they are made in fresh oil every day that I have been there. The staff are all friendly and very helpful.

Chicken was spicy and only four SMALL pieces. Chips all bits. 1 sausage had slight batter on it. Gravy was all lumps, all in all a waste of money.

The best box of fush & chups I've ever had. Crispy battery and firm fish inside, perfectly salted. The staff are unbelievably friendly and made the experience one to remember.

First time buying fish & chips from Jaws we can only say how delicious and tasty will definitely buy again

First time I got takeaway from here as new to the area. The staff are amazing and the food I had was also. It is the best fish, cheesy chips and battered sausage had in a long time and got a really good amount for the money. Will definitely be going back soon.

after a very long time away from this fish and chips shop I've decided to give them a go after reading the reviews well i was gob smack the fish and chips was fantastic and the price was good i will definitely be going back well done.

Absolutely delicious fish and particularly the chips. The best we've tasted for a long while. We'll done to all the friendly staff at Jaws Estover.

Food is nice, however way too much fat in the fish, that drips out of the box and on everything around. It dripped on my jacket and trousers while I was carrying it - which are now ruined.

Genuinely the best fish and chips I've had anywhere in Devon or Cornwall, ever.

Cod was awful. Greasy and overcooked. Chips weren’t much better.

A bit of a mixed review. Very convenient location and obviously loads of parking. Was very happy they took card as I never assume! The food was tasty and I enjoyed the chips. (Though the oil needed to be changed as you could taste it on the food). Not so great bits, I had a hair in the batter of my fish which was really not great. For me I found the customer service could be better. In fairness yes it was busy and the staff worked flat out. However as a customer it is uncomfortable to hear how busy they are (sorry), how they haven't got room to cook your order and then bad mouthing other customers. All in all I walked away feeling an inconvenience and not a valued customer.

Great fish and chips reminds me of the fish and chips of old, it's hard to get a good fix of fish and chips that isn't a greasy mess with awesome food now but thankfully I live so close to jaws which is always PERFECT. Shame Uber seems to be making it difficult for this business to operate from so if I had to make a suggestion for others eating from here get it through deliveroo instead or go pick it up from the lovely staff. Keep rocking it

First time I’ve ordered online and I was impressed. Fish and chips were cooked to perfection and not at all greasy. The only reason I knocked one star off (for quality) was because the gravy was more like a hot jelly and not runny at all. Other than that, can’t fault it. I’m sure I will be back!

Food very hot, on time for collection, service was good and was good value but was very greasy and tasted very oily in comparison to others we've had and therefore couldn't finish our food due to this. I'm afraid we won't use again, a shame.

Lovely chips and the staff were lovely too. I had been teaching piano since 12 mid day until just before closing time for them. ( so starving and desperate to get there before they closed ). They took my order on the phone and it was there waiting when I arrived bang on closing time. Massive portions and tastes amazing. A big improvement since I was last there a year or so ago.

Best chips I have tasted at any fish and chipper, crunchy, tasty and well cooked not raw like many chippers do it also not overloaded so it was not offputting. Very impressive.

Sadly not as good as our previous orders. Mushy peas tasted like water, gravy looked like jelly and the sausages were tough/old.

Delivery service was excellent, cod and chips delicious not greasy.

When taken home noticed the sausages were not in the bag but apart from that the food was great

Great when they 1st opened after the lockdown but it’s very his and miss depending on who’s cooking... When the ladies are left cooking it seems everything’s undercooked especially the chips.... Chip frying isn’t a science

Quick delivery...the Cod was amazing light crispy batter just perfect!! The kids meal deal was epic Cod bites went down a treat...would highly recommend and will be a return customer!!!

Went here late and they gave us half price food which was nice of them. Unfortunately the food was not up to standard and I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice tasting chips and friendly staff. Only thing is that the place feels a bit grimy, it’s more the overall feel of the place rather than anything specific, actual hygiene I’ve not seen any obvious faults.

I work as a chef, and when ording food for me and my mate I was disgusted to see how bad the ladies hygiene is, the food was lovely but in catering industries should know better than that. Especially when the woman pulled out 2 raw fish and didn't even wash her hands, all her hair was not in her net. I recommend they get another hygiene chack. They should also have their greeser spray And sanitizer spray.

Disgusting and horrible service/hygiene. As I started to order the shorter one walked off and preparing one meal but I hadn't finished ordering and rolled her eyes and gave attitude when I said about the other 2 meals seeing as there was 3 of us there, the same lady was then stood there eaing chips out of the unit and didnt wash her hands, she then went out for a cigarette and didnt wash her hands again and the other lady was on the phone talking to her friend throughout the whole time. We then get home to find she hadnt even put in my daughter's curry sauce so had an upset littlen. I used to go to jaws years ago and the que was out the door I am surprised no one else has said anything as they seemed like they do it often

Usually a good chip shop , new staff are terrible as they only half filled my large chips and didn't even fill my curry sauce above half way 😂. Apart from that i can't complain but definitely get the manager behind the counter 👌

Jaws is a nice chip shop in the Estover Precinct. It's located just outside of Asda, so a great place for staff to go after their shift and maybe get some fish and chips to take home with them. The staff seem polite and the food is very nice. Overall, it's your average local chip shop.

Orders freshly fried and friendly service.

Always had good fish and chips from this Jaws and would highly recommend them especially the offer they do for pensioners, now on the way to get some yummy yummy yum x x x
