Food undercooked and cold. Rubber Ribs. Food served with not plates? Use to be very good. Never again.

Far too busy for the amount of staff, waited quite a while between ordering and receiving food. Our food was rushly put in front of us, we weren’t offered condiments the waitress rushed off and it was so loud the waitress didn’t hear me trying to call back so I had to chase after her. We ordered drinks that we never recieved. Far too loud, too many people crammed in for two waitresses. The food wasn’t the best and I found a hair stuck amongst cheese in my enchiladas, I was offered a £5 refund as compensation as I was put off eating the food but I declined due to payment being taken already and just wanting to get out of the place. Unfortunately it didn’t have a relaxing restaurant vibe, yet charged the prices of this. Unfortunately would not return or recommend unless service, atmosphere and food improved.

Staff were nice, food was average but add a service charge without our permission is SHOCKING. I won’t be back.

I love a Long Island, it’s the only thing I drink when I go out. Today I was feeling down so I thought I’d order a Long Island from here. Half of the 1 litre got me feeling very gooood very niiiice. Will finish the rest tomorrow!

Ive been working down in plymouth and me and my colleague have eat from here every monday for the last 3 months and it has never let me down always really nice food and also lovely staff and food comes out quickly and is always lovely and piping hot. Well worth a visit.

Everything from the food to the service at arribas was incredible! I didn't catch our waiters name, but he was very attentive, gave us great recommendations and made us feel so so welcome. The food was amazing and packed with flavour! Will definitely be back again!

The staff were lovely. The food was just awful, soggy fried items, soggy oven items, chips were weirdly different colours - overall just terrible. Website listed a bottomless supper which didn't exist when we arrived but that was lucky because we didn't want to stay longer than one drink's worth. I asked for the service charge to be removed, but this wasn't because the service was bad, it was just because the food was awful. Many of the positive reviews here seem fake - I appreciate some real ones are here and that's fine.

Ordered mains which came out in speedy time. Plates were taken away and the server didn’t come back to the table to see if we wanted anything else especially being the only people in the restaurant. The bill was rung up before we even had a chance to say if we wanted anything else. Poor service as we wanted to order desserts. Ordered desserts, my partners cheesecake came out warm and I have churros with a sauce that was absolutely not edible. Used to be a great restaurant but won’t be going back now.

Ordered the beef fajitas. Thought they’d given me the vegetable option by mistake . But after a lot of searching through a sea of peppers, onions and jalapeños managed to find an ironic amount, very disappointing

Food was lovely other than the one thing I was gutted for which was the cheese cake I never ordered so got one item wrong. But none the less I ate it and it was nice but I wasn’t satisfied with the cheese cake as it was not the chocolate cake I ordered. Would definitely order again just hope the same mistake is not made.

We had the best meal we've had in a while here, could not complain about 1 thing that we had. We had 4 starters between us and a main each. Would highly recommend the mixed grill and tobasco duck dish. The service was quick and staff were lovely.

We visited early evening on a sunday and it wasn't very busy. The food was fab, littlun enjoyed his chicken taco and colouring! The service was great, would definitely recommend 👌 thank you very much

A very nice restaurant that will definitely fill you up. The spareribs are a personal recommendation. They are juicy, easy to remove from the bone and very large. You don't necessarily need an appetizer unless you're sharing it. For me personally, the price-performance ratio is completely fine. The portions speak for themselves. The waitresses are courteous and friendly. It's a great atmosphere, the decoration matches the name. The toilets are clean.

Very overpriced. Ordered a chimichanga and got 6 chips with it. The drinks we ordered was very expensive and came in used plastic bottles as if they re use empty water bottles. Some of the food is tasty but don’t expect reasonable portions for the absurd prices you pay.

Can’t believe it took me so long to try this place out. The service was wonderful, the young man who served us gave recommendations for 3 starters instead of 2, which I’m glad he did due to small portions. Everything I had was wonderful (though I expected more spice!). I sampled my partner’s dish and wanted to try everything on the menu. 5 stars all around. We’ll be back!

Came here for a Christmas party, so I expected it to be busy. The service was shocking. The wrong drinks were put on the bill. No record of deposits paid. We took a chance and came back mid week, and the food was just greasy. The service was great, but the quality of the food was very poor.

I never go to a UK Mexican restaurant with a high expectation, and this met with my low expectation. I ordered enchiladas and it came out like a British lasagna and chips with a piece of lettuce! All the usual Mexican fixings were not on my plate!! If you are craving good Mexican food, it’s not here, but if you want average Mexican and do not mind fries served with it, you will probably enjoy it.

Very welcoming, with a good choice of menu, servers were attentive and the food was really tasty.

Service was really good. Friendly welcoming and working hard to serve the large group. The food however was terrible. Wings were microwaved cheap wings cost £7.50 for 3 wings! The calamari wasn't too bad but struck me as being frozen. The tacos, nachos and enchiladas tasted so bad we through them away. £81 total for absolutely shocking food.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night. It was reasonably quiet, but had a few parties in. Service was quick and friendly. The food was amazing...it was a delicious mix of vegetables in my burrito and my wife's fajitas. Also lovely and spicy. The decor was eye-catching and fun, all adding to the ambience. Recommended for sure.

Food was good but a tad over priced. Main issue is looking at the google reviews it is clear that someone who works at this resturant is using bots and fake accounts to artificially inflate this resturants star rating! You can clearly tell they are fake/bot as the reviews are the same copied and pasted AI generated nonsense over and over. The onwer of this resturant should remove these reviews if they wish to retain any sense of integrity. Dissapointing!

A great Mexican restaurant in Plymouth. Food amazing, had the sharing platter followed by chicken fajitas, girlfriend had chilli. Staff great, even had us making chilli sauce from a variety of bottles. Drinks and food well priced. Food portions very generous, well recommended 👍

We love Arribas and was super excited to order in! Unfortunately chips and coleslaw were missed from 1 meal, the 3 dips for another had all ‘mushed’ up in a pot and looked off - the food was also over the top and unbearable spicy - so much so we had a few bites and it went in the bin … soooo disappointed and won’t be ordering or visiting again for a while which is sad …. Sorry Arribas - but please sort this out so we can eat with you again …!

Expensive for the experience, service was okay, good was reasonable.

Food was satisfactory, however service was poor, waited over an hour for the main course however the order was mixed up then when we confronted the lady waitress she was unfriendly and asked why we ate the food even though we were hungry, in the end to compensate for the poor service we had to ask for dessert and they overcharged the bill at the end.

The food was exceptionally disappointing and not real Mexican food. Quesadilla tortillas were far too hard and crispy when they should be soft and there was also not enough cheese in them. The Gambas dish was just like a Thai curry and it was very greasy. The Margarita 'on the rocks' came with no ice and was super sweet, tasting mostly of Rose's lime juice. Sadly, this is the worst Mexican food I have had in my life ... by a long shot. Nice staff, good atmosphere but the food completely ruins it.

Fantastic meal out with friends. Great service and menu with high quality food. Table spacing wasn't great, which made it awkward to get to the loo, but other than that it was fab 😀

The food was good, but we were charged for 2 drinks we didn't receive. When questioned,our waiter looked very sheepish,then used the card machine to put money back on my card... apparently! Once outside,where I could get a signal, found no money had gone back on. We went back in; received the same sheepish, guilty look; and were then quickly handed cash.....for 1 drink ! The above sequence was then repeated! Will not be returning.

Visited here whilst on holiday (a Friday night 8.30/9pm ish - 10pm) the staff seemed lovely and very attentive. The food was absolutely divine and we were so full we couldn't eat all of it by the end. A bit pricey if you're looking for something really cheap but still very reasonable for the quality of food. If we're ever back in Plymouth we'll be back. The starter sharing platter didn't go wrong anywhere and the ribs were so tender you could cut them with a spoon. The chicken fajitas on a sizzling plate with warm tortillas was also very tasty.

It's been years since I've been here. So it was fresh for me. Throughly enjoyed the food. Staff were excellent (shout out to Libby) I go to the cinema on a very regular basis- think I've found my pre-movie much for a while.

Wow, what can I say. The fajitas where amazing some of the best I have ever ate, and the nachos with beef mince with cheese and nacho cheese just hit decent and was delicious altogether. 100% recommend to anyone it’s worth it.

I do feel a little bit bad for not rating this restaurant more highly, however unfortunately I just don't think the quality of the food & drinks really matches the (relatively) high price point that they charge With this being said, you certainly do get your money's worth in terms of portion sizes as the portions are absolutely huge, depending on what you order of course! The dishes I've had were very filling with the main component (for me, usually a chimichanga or something similar) being very big on it's own, but also being accompanied by a generous helping of salad & chips I also paid something like £8 for a cocktail, and I honestly wasn't even sure if it was alcoholic at all or whether it was just fruit juice This isn't to say that I didn't enjoy the food - it was still very nice & I did leave feeling very satisfied & extremely full - I just wish that the quality of the food was a little bit higher, or maybe that the prices weren't quite as steep so that they'd be more appropriate for the quality of the food being served I do understand that times are tough with the way the economy is, and that restaurants have high overheads to pay of course so I will definitely go back again & maybe adjust my review after trying more of the dishes I also would like to add that the service was fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly & accommodating - we felt like we were long time friends of the man serving us, rather than customers which is very rare to come by these days! The atmosphere, decor, music & overall vibe of the restaurant was also very cool! I loved the music & the artwork on the walls!

The scallops had a vinaigrette which I didn’t see on the menu. Chips weren’t nice. The chocolate cake was brownies and tasted of alcohol which I did not enjoy. Didn’t come with the cream and was disappointed with most of the meal

Disappointing experience at Arribas. The food is of a very low standard, and was exceptionally overpriced. The chips are comparable to the chips that would be served from a fast food van at a fair. There was no questions beforehand if we had any allergies. The juice was being charged at £3.75 but was served from a £1 Tesco bottle. £3.50 for a glass of squash also. There was no cheese served with the fajitas. We will not be returning.

I can't fault the food but I ordered two starters and a rice. They gave me one starter, one main with rice and rice. I told them there was something wrong with my food because it seemed like too much for a starter and they said it wasn't and it was fine. Then they charged me for a main despite saying it was a starter. Absolutely disappointing because of that.

Had such a lovely experience at Arribas today with excellent food and our host Max was so lovely and attentive. Made us so welcomed and made us feel at ease. Just such a perfect experience ☺️

To Casual say after I check my food that you didn't have the curly fries I ordered, and "woops I should have said something" being words out of you staffs mouth after I sat waiting for it so I have to choose between taking home what's hot or trying to get you to understand that no straight fries are not the same thing as it gets cold is just f##king irritating.
