Future Inn Plymouth in Plymouth

Great hotel. Very clean and well stocked. Beds were clean and comfortable. Air con worked and was clean and did the job of keeping me cool enough to have a great sleep. Buffet breakfast was lovely. Staff were polite and attentive. Kettle in room an older one but was immaculately clean. Grab rails in bathroom for bath and shower which helped me massively. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!

Large clean room . Surprised, no biscuits supplied! On 2 occasions, housekeeping knocked on my door to come and clean at 8.00 am. The second time, I had put out the sustainable stay hanger on the door, which is meant to prevent room cleaning.!! The bed itself was comfy but the pillows were very hard and that's why I didn't get a goid night's sleep over the 5 days I was there. The breakfast next door at the Fishbone was poor standard. A couple of mornings there were no fried eggs, only scrambled, which didn't look very appetising. The orange juice had run out twice, and I had to ask for it. Generally not good. I was there to visit my partner in hospital each day, so I didn't have a choice. I certainly didn't eat in the restaurant at night as it was quite pricey and guessed it would be the same standard as breakfast. I will say the staff were lovely...very pleasant and helpful.

Nice quiet and friendly hotel. Rooms were too warm and noisy air-conditioning. Restaurant adds a service charge.

Excellent place to stay. Spotlessly clean. Very good menu that caters for everyone's diets. They even have rooms suitable for disabled people, which are all positioned close to the lift. In a good position to reach anywhere in Plymouth. Staff very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

The room is great, big, comfortable, with nice touches such as the slippers and dressing gown. Good shower as well. I’m marking it down because of the restaurant. We had a nice dinner and after thought we’d have a cocktail. Went to the bar and the lady asked if I wanted to pay I said I wanted two cocktails and she said ok I’ll be right with you. Next to me on the bar was a cocktail that had just been made for a customer. A man then came to take my order, I asked for two cocktails and was told we’ve just now tonight stopped doing cocktails because we’re getting low on ingredients!!!! All around the bar is advertising cocktails, the First Lady didn’t say that and they were making cocktails 60seconds previously. They did offer a different cocktail if they couldn’t make my first choice just we’re not making them. Think that’s pretty rubbish and reflects very badly on the whole place unfortunately.

Quiet, Neat and tidy spacious room but unfortunately the toilet flush was not working properly in room no: 309. Enough parking space. 24hrs Checkin facility got useful to us.

Great location for the hospital (about a ten minute walk) and service has been fantastic. We had a flickering light bulb and they came to fix it in a matter of minutes. The free fruit and mini muffins have been a treat! V clean too.

Great place to stay on your travels

Had our wedding here a few years ago. Amazing rooms, function suit and catering. Also second home for blood tests lol

This place is great if you want a clean and comfortable stay at an affordable price. My boyfriend and I are long-distance and always use Future Inn when he comes to stay. It’s really convenient, the rooms are a great size with comfy beds, and the staff are really helpful.

Stayed here over the Christmas weekend. Beautiful, clean, helpful staff, great location and amenities. Some helpful health services are now available here too.

I recently stayed at Future Inn Plymouth and had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. I loved the countless free biscuits and apples, which were a nice touch. The daily room cleaning kept everything spotless, and the free ice available at the bar was a convenient perk. My room was clean, large, and extremely comfortable, providing excellent value for money. Overall, Future Inn Plymouth exceeded my expectations with its thoughtful amenities and superb service. Highly recommend for a pleasant and affordable stay!

Ideal location for visiting nearby family. Good value, clean and comfortable. Stay here often and never had a problem. Air con at this time of year is much appreciated!

I didn't stay just went for the excellent breakfast. Very good price. Lovely staff

This is a budget hotel. You get free water daily in your room however, the furniture is tired, carpets are stained and the decor is 1980's. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean. The bed, although soft was very comfortable and I did have a decent nights sleep most nights I was there. My major gripe is the service and the restaurant food. Checking in was OK but service in the bar and restaurant was very hit and miss, some staff were wonderful and others were just downright rude and ignorant. Don't expect an expansive menu, nor anything inventive. The restaurant looks really nice and could be wonderful however, they have many coach tours and they get access to a special buffet. I now wish I'd tagged along and accessed the buffet as there are approx 10 choices on the menu for main courses and none of them were brilliant. Lamb koftas that didn't resemble or taste of lamb, watery soup and rubbery fish. A chicken burger supposedly spiced with Cajun that I'm still searching for however the chicken was so chargrilled I'm not surprised I couldn't taste it and batter so greasy I could have refried it. I stay in hotels regularly and the food here is some of the worst I have experienced in a hotel and it's priced at 4 star hotel rates. I did highlight these issues with the restaurant staff and also with hotel reception staff upon checking out this morning however I was met with vacant stares, blank looks and complete disinterest. One to cross off my company's preferred hotel list.

A risk deposit on checkin i’ve when is pre paid. You might break something! I was told! Gosh my colleague was told she was a risk! Breakfast a joke with loads missing and really value engineered to the lowest offer! These FI used to be great sadly now being shown up by whitbred and travel lodge. Poor show!

Rooms smell of smoke and are very tired

Went here to have my bloods done by the NHS who are currently using the Hotel to take the pressure of the Hospital and GP surgeries.

Brilliant for one to pick up coach early in morning at derrys Cross

Nice and cosy rooms, interesting solution for bathroom and toilet. A small issue with the installation was immediate solved. I'm happy with this accomodation.

This is very mixed, we normally stay in the Future in when we come to Plymouth. The location is convenient and it's generally good value for money. This time, reception staff were great, room great except fir the smell of urine in the toilet. It looked clean but... it definitely was 'off'. We normally eat at the restaurant and drink at the bar however, on this visit we found getting served at the bar took a very long time and the food quality wasn't the same/very small portions for the price. I will stay again only to see if things have improved since this visit. If they haven't, I think I may have to find another 'haunt'

Did not stay in a room, so no comment on them. Went to a function there, the food was basic and not very tasty. the service was poor, they even shut the bar to serve food. We only used six tables, and table one was finished before table 5 had even been started with service. There was no draught cider in the function room, so I had to go to the main bar where I was informed they would be calling time at 2215. That was almost 2 hours before our function ended. Therefore, we left at 2220. Extremely disappointed as our last visit was good.

Very cosy hotel. Good & fair price. Beds are too soft and wobble when you move. Snag list needs completing in toilet. Restaurant a little pricy really but tasty. Shame things were missing like the bread and lemon slice with the meal. Service great. Parking great too.

If I could give it 0 I would. Have fun staying at a government funded hotel that smells like a hospital or an old people's home.

Used by many businesses for different purposes. For example NHS.

Didn't use the hotel. Just used the NHS blood testing service at that location which was very efficient.

Very good standard hotel, for similar price to travelodge etc. Rooms clean , coffee, biscuits, water etc all complimentary. Nice toiletries provided. Bath and shower. Excellent breakfast provided, Shame though that the on site restaurant was poor when it came to the evening meal. In all excellent for the price.

Went for a meeting staff were helpful and facilities were as you would expect, clean and tidy.
