Excellent carvery with prompt service with a smile. Plentiful serving of nice food in a pleasant restaurant and great cider! - we will be back. We visited for Sunday lunch (one veggie) and it was busy so strongly recommend pre-booking.

An elegantly decorated restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The service was at just the right pace and the food delicious and at reasonable prices.

A trip here is always a treat. We are local but don't go often. Plan to change that. The food is excellent, recommend the lamb starter and the chilli and salt beancurd starter. Mains were sweet and sour pollock and the peking sliced pork with celery and onion. The special fried rice was great. The staff are kind and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit already. There is also a lunchtime special for £12.95.

I could’ve taken the easy route and bought the toy, which would have quieted the situation but potentially led to a future of demanding tantrums. Or, I could go with the hard option—say “no” and deal with the chaos. As you can guess, I opted for the hard choice. Enter the miracle workers of this restaurant. The owner and staff? Absolute legends. The owner, bless her soul, went above and beyond. While I was juggling breastfeeding in one hand and trying to keep a tiny human from flipping the table in rage with the other, she casually came over and started speaking to my toddler. Not only did she distract him, but she actually played with him, making him laugh and calming him down. I honestly thought I had entered some kind of parental utopia where tantrums are cured with a sprinkle of magic. And then, just when I thought I couldn’t be more grateful, it gets better. The toilets? Immaculate. Clean, fresh, and exactly what a parent needs when dealing with the aftermath of a busy day out. And here’s where it truly gets heartwarming: The owner offered to watch my toddler while I changed my daughter. Now, I don’t make a habit of leaving my child with a stranger, but the staff and owner made me feel like I had known them for years. It’s not often you find a place where you feel completely at ease with the people around you, but they nailed it. As the owner reassured me with a smile, “Don’t worry, I love noisy children.” Well, with those words, she immediately cemented her status as a parenting hero. She didn’t just get it—she understood, and her kindness and support made all the difference. And the food? Let’s just say I might’ve been close to losing my mind, but that huge plate of deliciousness in front of me helped remind me that life is still good. It was amazing, with portions that left me full and happy, and the kind of meal that made me forget I was in the middle of a parenting disaster. As most parents of toddlers know, you order food for your little one, and they usually eat about one bite before losing interest. Not here! My toddler actually enjoyed his meal—so much so that he only stopped eating because the kids' portion could easily feed an adult. So, to the staff and owner—thank you. You saved my day, and my dignity, with your patience, kindness, and sheer awesomeness. If you’re a parent and need a place to eat where your toddler won’t get judged for having a meltdown over a toy, this is your spot. Trust me.

We had a lovely evening cocktails and tapas on Saturday night, thoroughly enjoyed it. Fabulous vibes service and people. We enjoyed it so much 2 years ago we'd booked for today as well. Id originally booked for 2.30. Last night I changed the booking to 5pm. Got there to find the place completely closed!! Tried calling no joy! No communication to cancel my booking! I'm so disappointed, along with totally angry. Shame on you for not contacting me to inform me, that there was a problem and you had to shut, your website says you're open til 20.00hrs. Totally spoilt my weekend!

On a sunny day, our group of six planned to visit Nick’s to enjoy a meal and drinks by the seafront. Upon arrival, a waitress approached us with a notably dismissive attitude, informing us that we couldn’t sit at an available table. Her tone was so discourteous that another patron nearby remarked to his partner about her rudeness towards potential customers. When my daughter politely inquired about waiting for a table, the waitress responded sharply, questioning where we intended to wait. Disheartened by this treatment, we decided to take our business next door to Smith’s. Reflecting on the experience, I’m relieved we chose Smith’s, where we felt our £200 was well spent. Interestingly, a similar incident occurred last year at nicks bar. It seems that to work at Nick’s, one might need to emulate the demeanor found at Karen’s Diner.

Amazing experience for a birthday extremely friendly staff. Quick service. The roast was fab and the cauliflower cheese was out of this world. Definitely come again.

We have been in this place with friends. They have kids menu and a gf option available. The food was great and we would definitely go back.

Popped in for breakfast, don't like a few things on the set breakfast menu options so asked to create my own from the extras. Waitress didn't mind...everything was cooked to perfection (sausages brown and not anemic or burnt, fat on bacon crispy, egg nice runny yolk with no uncooked white on top). My new go to for brekky.

It's tucked out of the way, i didnt order, but the food looks great. The staff are very friendly and the pub has a great village vibe going on in there. If your in the area of Yatton...pop in!!!

Sadly we didn't read reviews 😕 just looked for nearest country pub as we were tired( in moho) what an awful shame and disgusting that the site in searches is still up and running as if open! Terrible management
