First time here and what a wonderful experience! Genuinely I think this might have been the NICEST pub experience I have had in a very long time. Exemplary service, lovely atmosphere and DELICIOUS food! The nicest pub burger any of us have EVER had. Thanks for a lovely experience, we’ll back again!

Great pub always things going on.Really freindly all welcome feel ,lots to do as well pool darts sports on the TV .Good layout lots of different places to sit.Good home cooked food. Great space outside in the summer.

Quite Simply the Best Public House in Somerset! What more do you want, an Excellent Range of Beers, Wines and Spirits, Food is truly excellent and it’s got all the sports on TV, Pool tables are County Standard, it does not get better! But my main reason for this truly excellent review is about the Staff, everyone that works here are a breath of fresh air to the hospitality industry, every single person is excellent and so nice 👌 Clearly the owners values are very high and Happy Staff = Happy Pub so don’t take my word, have a look for yourself at this thriving Village Pub at Yatton Station and I beg you to disagree 👍👍👍😊

Absolutely brilliant Sunday lunch, moved to Yatton recently and will be bringing all family and friends here when they visit to experience. We hadn’t booked and popped in on the off chance a table was available. Brilliant customer service from ALL on shift here today! We have been advised to book for next time as we’re incredibly lucky to fit in. We will be back, very soon!

Absolutely lovely place, after being let down fishing due to match on a lake nearby, I had to get the train, but that had also been cancelled, thought I’d stop off for a quick drink before hand and ended up having one of their Beef Sunday Roasts! The staff were lovely, the drinks were clean and tasty! Will definitely be making the trip again, both fishing and a stop off at this lovely place! We visited the Railway Inn for Sunday lunch today. The staff could not do enough to make us welcome. The Sunday roast was top notch, we couldn’t fault it. We were four adults and our grandson of 4 months. I thoroughly recommend 👍

What a lovely evening we've had..We stopped off here with our motorhome. We joined in the quiz and had a light snack..What a friendly pub. They all made us feel so welcome..We will definitely return..

Had a roast sunday lunch today. Very friendly staff and an excellent lunch plenty of fresh veg and cauli cheese. Just like home cooked food. Couldn't fault it. Definitely recommend. Will be back. The beer was good.

Great meal great value for money Sunday roast is superb

Popped in for some lunch whilst waiting for the next bus. Service was excellent, food delicious, hake and chips with trimmimgs, beautiful, very large portions. Will certainly make a bee line for the railway next time we want some food. Thank you! PS, Thursdays is their 'fish day' so it was an extremely reasonable proce but even if we had paid full price, I would give same review. Oh, the fish was caught in Brixton the day before. 🐟

Wednesday Semi Final Night, great variety buffet for skittles team, good quality and value, staff busy as pub crammed but always receptive, landlady Merran superb hostess, Sunday lunch, excellent value for money, very generous portions, excellent choice of vegetables cooked exceedingly well.

Not a lot of parking outside the pub. Drinks were reasonably priced, unfortunately it was raining so I can't tell you this time what the beer Garden is like, it does look like a good size. Staff were friendly, lots of choice for spirit drinkers like myself

Busy pub, great food good times

We had a Sunday roast dinner here with friends, and it was ok, cheap & cheerful. It's a very family / kids friendly pub, which is great if you have kids and don't mind eating amongst noisy, crying, and screaming kids. One dessert on offer - cheesecake and custard... very usual combination! Staff ok. We wouldn't return as we don't need such a family friendly atmosphere.

Moved to Yatton end of last year, first visit to the Railway on Thursday night. Brilliant! Fish and chips 7 quid each, good atmosphere good service, good experience all round, well be back.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Friendly, efficient service. Really good food and drink. Station car park adjacent. Sport on TV if you want to watch. Pool tables available if you don't.

Being from Birmingham I'd never heard of Yatton let alone the Railway pub. But we were there to buy a car from a dealer and were meeting at the station. Upon getting our car we saw the Railway pub across the tracks and thought it'd be a great place for a spot of lunch before the driver home. My wife had the Scampi and I had the Fish and chips. We were absolutely chuffed how nice this place was. The bar staff were lovely and very welcoming, we had fantastic service both from the bar and the kitchen. Our food was fresh, hot and delicious. If I am down Somerset again I will definitely divert to this pub again without hesitation.

Great range of drinks available. Well handy for the train journey. Had a works do there. Also a yoga class a while ago.

I enjoy poker/pool pool night every Monday, the people are friendly and the staff are great. I can't say nicer things anmbout everyone here never had a bad experience, been coming here a while now and everyone is amazing. I love it here

My family and I love a little stroll down the strawberry line to The Railway for a drink. My boys love playing in the garden so it means hubby and I can enjoy a fairly quiet drink whilst they are entertained. We've not had a full meal there, but we shared some bowls of chips. Decent portion size, and tasty. Good drinks selection as well. Staff are always super friendly, and helpful as well, carrying drinks for me when we had scooters to carry to our table as well.

Really impressed with the roast here! Great service and very plentiful and at a super reasonable price. It’s a great cosy pub with a lovely atmosphere and fun bands playing in the summer which we have enjoyed. Well worth a go!

Arrived to totally indifferent staff with no food service! Things got steadily worse as BOTH cask Ales were 'off'. Apparently, no one knew how to change a barrel, and the Landlady had gone to the beach for the day as the weather was so good! Absolutely unbelievably badly managed.

This has been my local, on and off, for decades. It's probably the best it's ever been right now. Fantastic selection of beers, lagers and ciders. In recent times they've started doing food, which is some of the best pub grub around. They are fastidious about the way they keep and serve their drinks. If you're looking for a local pub atmosphere alongside good food, you won't be disappointed here.

A great local pub in the village of Yatton alongside the mainline railway from Bristol Temple Meads to the South West. Large pub garden for sunny afternoons & weekends. Live music also advertised weekly.

Very positive place to eat and relax

First time I've been here and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely inside nice decor, Lovely food and lovely helpful staff.

Popped in as a result of recommendation whilst in the area. Staff very helpful and courteous. Food was delicious and at very respectable pub prices. However, the reason for my review is the way that the staff helped a lady who had limited English. Whilst trying to get from the station to her hotel a taxi was offered but declined due to the fact the traveller did not want to pay by card. Once this had be ascertained one of the staff said that she would give her a lift once her shift had finished at 3pm. Bravo So all in a great place to have a couple of beers and some food 👌🏻👍🏻

We had just finished a circular walk based on Yatton Railway Station and having to wait ahile for the next train home, saw the sandwich boards of The Railway Inn beconing us to enter. We did so and was greeted by the friendly, welcoming and personable barman. A couple of my favourite beers were on offer, as were teas and coffees. My wife elected for a mug of tea. They stock over 20 gins and food is available at most times. I like it when a local pub has an array of local historical photos and other pictures, so went on a wander around this spacious inn, which has a dedicated snooker room past the bar. There was one photo of what Yatton station looked like when it was a major junction for three rail companies. They hold a good range of events including BBQ night on a Monday and a Tuesday quiz night.

Never been in before but were always on the train or at a station with the train obsessed todler popped in for a drink turned into hubs coming after work and dinner in the pub all the staff were lovely the food was amazing and excellent price. Play area was rilliant for the little bear 🐻 we had a fab time will be back more often

Had to wait for train so I had a pint like so many times . A great bar . Be back again xx.

Nice place for a quiet drink, not much to do on the area

We stopped in for a coffee while traveling. The friendliness and attentiveness was amazing. If I didn't have to be elsewhere I would have stayed longer just to enjoy the company.

Wow, we were a party of 50, wanting breakfast at short (48 hours?) notice. Not only did they accommodate us all, but they served us with 50 cooked breakfasts... with a smile! Thank goodness I didn't order the large breakfast. Oh and did I mention the food was delicious?

Booked a table for 13 for a birthday celebration. Being a Sunday there were Sunday lunches and children's menu on offer. Excellent food and plenty of it, a good selection of beers and great staff along with pleasant surroundings. No hesitation to return when the opportunity arises.

I tried to take a picture before i ate this beautiful breakfast!, As you can see I did not have enough time... I had the regular breakfast and I will say it was cooked to perfection, I literally could not fault a single thing on it, the egg tasted of 12, by that I mean it took me back to when eggs had taste, the bacon was soft and very nice indeed not too salty and far from my usual Crispy preference but definitely the best way to eat it!. The wait for this perfection was close to 25 minutes but we'll worth the wait and more 10/10. The ladies here were chatty and very friendly all that you could want in a host, I would take them home if I could but I just haven't got the space. The decor of this pub is old with a little new thrown in in perfect balance, it's warm cozy and inviting, I wish I could have stayed but when i nodded off after my breakfast I made some snore type noises that disturbed the other patrons so i left abruptly. Lovely place, Lovely people and lovely food!. I will be back!.

A lovely pub situated right on Yatton station- a very large garden including a trampoline and patio area- I called in Saturday and there was a BBQ- very friendly staff and a bonus is real ale available definitely worth popping in for a pint especially if your travelling by train- A large pub with pool tables and families welcome- definitely worth a visit I will call in again.

VERY busy weekend afternoon, went to see The Lipinski Brothers play in the garden. Good local pub, will have to go back to try the food, which looked great.

This was one of the friendliest pubs (both staff and customers) I've been in for a long time, a good selection of ales and more pool tables than you could shake a cue at. The only spanner in the works was that they don't now serve meals on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday which post Covid alas is quite common. Dog friendly pub.

Went to my mate roger wake. They put a wonderful buffet on and the bar service was excellent,they had 4 bar staff on and you were served very quickly. Well done. I highly recommend this place.

I've lived in yatton my whole life and over the years it's changed a lot. But it's gotten nicer and more child friendly over the years. They've added in play equipment for kids and an adult only area which is perfect if you want to relax and have a pint without worrying about kids running past bumping into you. They also have live music fairly often. Another plus is it's right next to the train station so if you've got a long wait for a train you can pop in and have a drink and stay warm.

Quality pub, awesome food, fantastic staff, big t.v's, top of the range pool tables, dart boards and skittle alley, beautiful garden with plenty for the kids to do, evening entertainment throughout the year, and tonight there's a £700 meat draw....best place around....by far

I've had the food recommended to me before, so decided to give it a go. Christmas lunch was absolutely fantastic!! Selection of meats and all the trimmings. Excellent service. Definitely eat there again. Amazing!!

Really Nice and Clean decor, very welcoming and the other customers, just like the staff, are really friendly and not made to feel like should get out of their pub, which occurs in alot of other establishments. The alcohol takes lovely and you can tell that this place is well looked after and the lines were obviously kept clean, as you can tell how good the drinks are supposed to taste like when you realise the difference from other places and how well they are looked after. Although the alcohol was great, they also do food and you could easily make the mistake of thinking this is a proper restaurant. Outside there is an open and spacious smoking area which doesn't really interfere with non smokers wishing to sit outside in the garden. As a large percentage of adults nowadays have children, they have also been considered about as there is a play area with swings and obstacles, as well as an in ground trampoline. They show alot of sports on the multiple wall mounted TVs and to add to the sports side of things, there are darts which can be played and the opposite end of the pub there are 2 pool tables, which are really nice as used frequently. If you didn't realise when looking around by the pool tables, there's a set of doors that leads to a massive spacious function room with 4 more pool tables which reinforces this pubs reputation as a sports bar. The Railway, home to 4 teams of gifted individuals who represent North Somerset's Blackball County Pool Squad, so it's definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy pool and wanted a challenge. With the pub being directly opposite the Yatton train station, literally a stones throw from the train platforms, so what more would you need in a place that's easy to get to, welcoming, satisfy's thirst and hunger and provides numerous different things to do whilst there if you don't want to sit down the whole time. At the end of the night and sometimes a bit worse for ware after possibly listening to one of the live bands that regularly play there, you don't have to walk far to catch a train back or continue your journey.

Wow this is one of the friendliest pubs I think I've ever been in! The owner was super happy, friendly and polite and the staff were the same. Great help and made sure everything was good throughout our meal. The roast was great! Lovely amount of meat and potatoes and the veg were in bowls on the table to help ourselves. And 2 stuffing balls!! A favourite in our house!! Ooo and a Yorkshire pudding that wasn't burnt! Ooo and bacon with the sprouts. As you can tell we were very happy with the food, no picture as it wasn't on the plate long enough!😋 we will definitely be back again!! Pictures next time!!
