Well done to the community! A real pub, nicely done. A great British pub menu. Very dog friendly. Large car park. Only criticism is the garden not very good if the dog needs a wee - fake grass.

3 of us went for lunch. decided to sit outside, and that is when i was very disappointed. No character, and also as two us smoke, no smoking only in the car park with no ashtrays. Two of us had good food, but the 3rd persons food was not acceptable. When the waitress cleared the plates, comments on the 3rd plate of food was given, and the waitress was not that interested ok she said she would mention it to the chef, but no effort made to adjust the bill. On using the facilities inside it is lovely, but the garden needs attention to attract families etc, and if we have any decent weather, it would be so nice to have outside eating in a space that should match the character of the pub, and not look like an animal shed, also with plastic grass.

Recently reopened and price structure seemed to be a means of clawing back the investment . Case in point. Noddy's Nuts Chilli flavour £2.50 per bag. Normally at other outlets a max of £1.15. Another more serious gripe for a village pub NO CASK CONDITIONED ALE whatsoever. A reason many guys wouldn't return including myself. The impression is of a Gastro Pub with wet sales taking a very low priority.

As a pub for a social drink it's okay, but the venue appears to be far more geared for food, doesn't have that Pub feel. Perhaps when it's warmer and you can sit outside it may be different. Finishing your drinks whilst all the chairs are stacked on the tables around you before closing time isn't a good vibe.

Had lunch there today. Very disappointing Beer is a disaster - no real ale on draft. Weston could do with somewhere for locals to gather for a drink but this place is only geared for food. Food is also average my eggs were hard in my ham egg and chips. My friend had pie of the day which was a cheap second rate pie on a nice bed of vegetables. Presentation was the best part of a poor meal. Service was pleasant but inadequate. Paying and ordering at the bar and collecting your own cutlery felt a bit like the works canteen. I won’t be going again.

The WH- WIG was ground breaking for the area when Mike & Chris took on the old village boozer that had fallen from grace and beaten many a landlord into retreat. Their vision and creativity created a destination for fun, celebration, excesses and occasional sins. Celebrated chefs joined them, they created and operated some of the best mini festivals in North Somerset and Christmas markets to die for. Building from scratch what they managed to do was and still is the envy of many independent operators. The current conditions make operating such a venue impossible so it’s with a heavy heart I write this review to thank them and remind them that they leave with dignity and pride. We will all miss the White Hart

I have been a regular diner since 2017 and always enjoyed the experience, so I was very excited when the White Hart was able to reopen I took friends there for lunch last week expecting to eat inside as they have made such a thing about their Covid preparations so imagine my horror when we were informed that we had to be outside and no other option open to us.The Manager’s attitude was surly and unhelpful and very different from previous occasions, it almost felt as if we were interrupting his dayIn the circumstances, and because we were so cold, we did not order desserts or coffee but simply went homeI will not be rushing back and will certainly think twice about taking friends there again as, quite frankly, I was extremely embarrassed after disappointed by the whole thing.

Visited on bank holiday Monday. Well organised pub with covid restrictions carefully worked out. Sat in the teepee on a huge table. Would have been good for a large family so felt a bit odd just for two but better that than being hemmed in. Food was great served by an attentive and friendly young man. I had lamb which was really good, tender and perfectly cooked with asparagus and freshly shelled peas. The chicken supreme and mushroom risotto rice I tried was equally delicious. Rocket salad was a bit salty and too much vinegar but overall a really good dining experience by a pub who obviously care about their food and their customers. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

After an exploratory walk through the woods and common, went to the White Hart pub in Easton in Gordano. Excellent food, service, and the owner Mike, an expert in fine wine! So needless to say,I was in my element when I sent a glass of Pinot back ( to my husbands embarrassment)- he came back with a £30 bottle of Pinot Noir for me to try- excellent- never had a pub owner know so much about his wines, and offer to open something else if it didn’t suit my palate!!. He sat and chatted with us, about his personal journey and travel- so interesting. Food really tasty too. I don’t like pizzas but his were excellent ( I nicked half my husbands slices, it was so good- unheard of!), and his pea and asparagus risotto, superb. They have a great explanation of their Covid prevention system when you arrive and how they are running things whilst the pandemic is here. Felt very safe and cared for,as a customer. Will be going again soon, and taking friends and family there as and when they visit. Highly recommend it Sarajane & Brian

Having heard good things about The White Hart I decided to book with some friends for Sunday Lunch.I was not dissapointed ( well, very slightly but i'll come back to that) We were greeted at the door and the covid19 precautions were explained to us, very easy to follow and well planned.Taken to our table and I immediatly noticed the spacing of the tables and general layout, wonderfully set on terraces with artificial grass. What I wasnt expecting was to be taken into a Teepee - awesome! We were served by very efficient and freindly staff, the chap who brought our wine was particlarly knowlegable and took the time to expain our choice which was nice. The food was excellent with a good choice of roasts and vegetarian options. Ah, yes therin lies the very slight complaint, one of our party asked for " Goats cheese and butternut squash pie" she was hard pushed to find any squash in there, but it was enjoyable. It's a shame that her dessert missed the mark too, the dark chocolate and salted caramel tart probably would have tasted nice but she was unable to hammer her way through the rock hard crust so we'll never know. But those two dishes aside the meal was first class, well cooked and presented. I had Ham terrine, Roast Lamb with roasted and seasonal veg, Sticky Toffee pudding - all delecious.I would definatley reccomend the White Hart and we will be back.

Dinner 26th August - unusual arrangement as the pub is almost of two halves in style the outside with various undercover areas and a teepee, possibly more suited to people with children or larger groups (?) we opted to sit inside which was more our style which seemed more suitable for a nice dining experience. The interior of the main building has a contemporary restaurant feel rather than a pub, comfortable and relaxed. There was very good provisions made for social distancing, sanitiser etc, and we were given helpful guidance on how to observe the systems put in place. There was a choice of red wines sold by the glass, my husbands first choice was not in stock, so he selected another, I asked for a large bottle of sparkling water, the server went to arrange this but returned after about five minutes with my husbands wine, but said they had no sparking water in stock! So I had a tonic water and we shared a jug of tap water. I ordered the three cheese arancini with truffle mayo, it was actually served with what appeared to be a light mustard mayo rather than truffle, the mustard tended to over power the arancini, I then had the trio of sausages with mash which were very nice. My husbands starter was the Ham hock terrine, served with toasted focaccia bread, but it was actually served with toasted baguette rather than focaccia, the ham hock had a good flavour and texture though, as a main he had pan fried rump of lamb, which he would have preferred pink rather than cooked with even colour all the way through (personal preference) but it still had a good flavours, the sautéed new potatoes and spring veggies were very nicely cooked, all of the courses were nicely presented, but we did feel that although there was not really anything to complain about, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations having read all of the reviews. We did have a nice evening though, all be it a bit disappointed overall. (would score 3 and half if that were possible!) Price wise, the menu is as most better end pubs, we used our £20 credit form the ‘eat out’ scheme which off set our disappointment, not sure I would have wanted to have paid the full value of the meal in normal circumstances though.

The waitress recommended the risotto and she was right it was gorgeous. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional and very well organised especially during this difficult time.Just to add we have had the Sunday lunch many times and it’s the best around, just like home cooked with perfect roast potatoes (I normally have the beef).

We were excited about being able to go back to this pub where we often visit and even held a 60th birthday celebration in the teepee, we couldn’t have been any more disappointed. Our roast dinner was just awful, I had the roast chicken and the only thing I ate was the chicken, potatoes were not roasted but looked more like boiled, the vegetables all had a funny tang to them, one of our party had the burger and he said it was not the best, we all wished we would have complained as we all felt the same. The service was good and they were set up very well for the corona virus, instructions gave out and well understood, we sat in the teepee and it was pleasant just a shame about the food. We were so pleased to be able to go back here, we’ve had such good meals and even held a 60th party in the tippee, so have always been pleased but, this time I have to say it was so disappointing, on arrival everything was good regarding the corona virus, given all the necessary instructions. When our starter arrived 2 of our party did not get what they thought, we did say something but there was a misunderstanding apparently, the main course 3 roast dinners and a burger were all very disappointing, roast potatoes were more like boiled and a very strange choice of veg, it all had a funny taste to it and all I ate was the chicken, they could see from how much I left that I obviously didn’t like it but nothing was said, I really wish we all would have said something as none of us enjoyed it. It will be a long time before we return again.

We have been long term customers at The White Hart for their high quality meals so were very keen to return. I had been following them on Facebook to find out and knew they had a large outside area they could safely use too. We booked with friends and had a lovely evening on one of the hottest evenings so far and despite us all missing foreign holidays, it felt like a little slice of European living. They’d completely adapted their outside space with a new table arrangement making the most use of the outside space and the food was as great as ever. A very enjoyable evening at the White Hart with girl friends. As ever the food did not disappoint, my meal was exceptional. I chose the lamb rump and it was cooked to perfection, pink and tasty with broad beans, asparagus, peas and roast new potatoes. My friends chose the pies with mash and veg and they really enjoyed their meals too. The wine as always is very good. The kitchen closed earlier than usual so we decided we couldn’t manage puddings just after our mains, we may have decided to if we could have had more of a break between courses but that was absolutely fine and given the current circumstances is a minor issue.Thank you so much for making our evening very enjoyable. So so so disappointed , where do I start with tonight’s meal , the first time my in-laws have visited , I’ve drove past the White Hart many times and always wanted to visit, we booked in advance for tonight’s meal . We walked in seated next to what I can only describe as a crèche , requested to be moved which we were , waited ages for drinks . We all ordered food , the chicken supreme was less than supreme with mushy rice , the rocket salad sent back the smallest bowl of rocket with a bit of vinegar, my side order of chips didn’t even turn up , my ceaser salad limp . £100 with items removed what a waste of money and waste of time . Then we couldn’t even pay for the worst meal ever , took over 10 attempts with the card machine that wouldn’t work . No offer of a further discount , a bleak apology . Extremely disappointed ☹️

Ate at the White Hart to celebrate a friends 50th birthday last weekend and booked the private dining room. The private dining experience was fantastic and we received great table service from Paul and his staff. The food and drink were superb and we all had a great time. Rounded off by a free lift back home in the Vengabus which was a great touch.

We went here before Christmas and were impressed so booked again for lunch . I booked via email and had an immediate response. We arrived and our table was immediately ready. Charming stylish interior, we had the round table by the wood burner. Drinks were brought to our table, good choice of beer and wine. For starters we had salt and pepper squid, served with black ink alioli, the squid was delicious. Garlic bread was the choice, it was huge and more like a garlic pizza so be aware especially if you order pizza as a main course! We both had the king prawn and anchovy pizza a delicious crisp base , plenty of topping and lovely salty anchovies. Our friend had lamb shank with was very tender. Service was excellent. In summer there is a good outside area.

My daughter and I have had lunch here every two weeks for two months. We have tried a lot of things on the menu and some of the specials. The food has been consistently good. But what makes this Inn stand out is the service. Everyone is very helpful, efficient and friendly .

My mother and I had lunch at The White Hart. The staff were extremely welcoming, the environment was very relaxing. I had fish & chips which were excellent and mum had a lamb pie & mash from the specials board. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

I've been to The White Hart a few times with groups of friends and as a couple and we've loved it every time. The food has always been great and the setting is lovely. On Friday myself and my partner had our Valentine's meal there too and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Plenty of choice and mega tasty. We loved that they'd made their menu a bit different and 'posh' but hadn't gone overboard, by that I mean, it wasn't one of those menus that you need to Google every word in the description to work out that they're just describing a burger and chips. Amazing menu, fantastic service and a lovely setting - would definitely recommend!

Sunday lunch is best meal of the week and this was no exception. Chose the roast lamb roast which was melt in the mouth - never tasted anything like it - succulent, soft and juicy meat with an amazing selection of perfectly cooked vegetables and delectable roast potatoes. Couldn't fault the service - friendly and attentive but certainly not "in your face". Staff very polite and very welcoming. Definitely worth every penny and can't wait to go back. Alison & Bryan

Our first visit, we were really impressed with our meal. My husband had roast beef with 5 vegetables and roast potatoes to rival my best homemade! I had sirloin steak, which was delicious, flavourful and very tender. We were impressed by the level of choice on the menu of gluten free dishes, as we are both gluten free. The staff were very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about their menu too. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was very pleasant, nothing too much trouble for the staff. I finished with a great flat white, only real beans here, very good coffee and I am fussy!- my husband had the gluten free dark chocolate mousse and raspberry coulis which he said was a winner. So, we will definitely return when next in the area!!

This is a nice little café in Sand Bay. They only have snacks on the menu (sandwiches & jacket potatoes, etc), but they're very nice, although a bit on the pricey side. The man who owns the café is ok
