The White Hart is a nice olde inn we didn't have food but it looked nice, price I thought was a bit high drinks choice very good but I had a pint of ale and it was served chilled so not to my liking as Ales should be served at room temperature, big carpark ,toilets nice an clean disabled friendly but a bit small if you have a wheelchair, very nice garden and decking.

Caroline and her team are simply amazing!!! The level and standard of both food and service is trully amazing with a true passion for both her clinet and service standards. I stopped of woth family for a cooked service and the pure quality of food was wonderful worth at least 50% more but working on a family of 4 it's stunning and pure quality. This will be the first of many more visits I will be coming again with family and friends for sure to show what a little gem i have found 💎 5 star service and food thank you

Excellent home made pub grub. I had the special of faggots and mash and my partner had the veggie burger. He’s usually fussy as he loves the fake meat ones the best, however he really loved this veggie burger as the veggies were lovely and it had a great crunch to it. The chips were amazing too. We’ll definitely be back!

Stopped on the off chance as we really wanted a Sunday roast. Wow, what a find! Up there with one of the best pub roasts I've had. My wife is a veggie and she claimed it was the best she'd had. I had the belly pork and it was amazing. The pub itself was really nice, very clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We will 100% return.

Food was fantastic, that's the important bit! However, this pub used to be the most magical place. The interior was so cool. Rustic and super arty. I understand its had a makeover under new management, but oh my the atmosphere has gone from 10 to 1. The whole of the outside decking is entirely black. Really depressing. And also, what made me really annoyed, they've stuck a material on all the windows, so you literally can't see out the window while you're eating. 😵 please get this place looking better again!! 🙏

Disappointing. Restaurant prices for very standard (and undercooked) pub food. Steak ordered as medium rare and came out blue. Had to send it back twice. No table service, get your own cutlery and condiments (all in sachets including salt and pepper), no extra plates provided for sharing starter, wine glasses dirty, no steak knife provided, staff weren’t the friendliest. One of our starters didn’t come out. See picture of steak which wasn’t cooked enough ‘in my opinion’. Me and my friends were really excited to try this place but we definitely wouldn’t return.

I am very disappointed in the choice of vegetarian dishes. To include jacket potatoes on the 'specials board' seemed extremely odd, as this is usually classed as 'staple pub grub'. The 'choice' of cheese & beans filling for vegetarian diners was very uninspiring. To not allow items to be 'swapped' was not very customer friendly. Yes, you can have an item omitted, but that item would not be replaced and still be charged for. Also drinks are sold per 'glass' and not per 1/2 or per pint?! The volume of said 'glass' was unknown but was told by staff that it was "slightly less than a pint"! At £3.30 its far too expensive for a glass, so i did not order a second. Is this legal to sell drinks this way? My 'meal' consisted of a bowl of chips, an icecream sundae and a glass of cola!! Not exactly a balanced or nutritional meal, but the only one that I could find to eat. I'm sorry, but I will not be returning until the menu changes and there is better customer care.

3 of us went for lunch. decided to sit outside, and that is when i was very disappointed. No character, and also as two us smoke, no smoking only in the car park with no ashtrays. Two of us had good food, but the 3rd persons food was not acceptable. When the waitress cleared the plates, comments on the 3rd plate of food was given, and the waitress was not that interested ok she said she would mention it to the chef, but no effort made to adjust the bill. On using the facilities inside it is lovely, but the garden needs attention to attract families etc, and if we have any decent weather, it would be so nice to have outside eating in a space that should match the character of the pub, and not look like an animal shed, also with plastic grass.

Recently reopened and price structure seemed to be a means of clawing back the investment . Case in point. Noddy's Nuts Chilli flavour £2.50 per bag. Normally at other outlets a max of £1.15. Another more serious gripe for a village pub NO CASK CONDITIONED ALE whatsoever. A reason many guys wouldn't return including myself. The impression is of a Gastro Pub with wet sales taking a very low priority.

As a pub for a social drink it's okay, but the venue appears to be far more geared for food, doesn't have that Pub feel. Perhaps when it's warmer and you can sit outside it may be different. Food is also average my eggs were hard in my ham egg and chips. My friend had pie of the day which was a cheap second rate pie on a nice bed of vegetables. Presentation was the best part of a poor meal. Service was pleasant but inadequate. Paying and ordering at the bar and collecting your own cutlery felt a bit like the works canteen. The WH- WIG was ground breaking for the area when Mike & Chris took on the old village boozer that had fallen from grace and beaten many a landlord into retreat. Their vision and creativity created a destination for fun, celebration, excesses and occasional sins. Celebrated chefs joined them, they created and operated some of the best mini festivals in North Somerset and Christmas markets to die for. Building from scratch what they managed to do was and still is the envy of many independent operators. The current conditions make operating such a venue impossible so it’s with a heavy heart I write this review to thank them and remind them that they leave with dignity and pride. We will all miss the White Hart

I have been a regular diner since 2017 and always enjoyed the experience, so I was very excited when the White Hart was able to reopen I took friends there for lunch last week expecting to eat inside as they have made such a thing about their Covid preparations so imagine my horror when we were informed that we had to be outside and no other option open to us.The Manager’s attitude was surly and unhelpful and very different from previous occasions, it almost felt as if we were interrupting his dayIn the circumstances, and because we were so cold, we did not order desserts or coffee but simply went homeI will not be rushing back and will certainly think twice about taking friends there again as, quite frankly, I was extremely embarrassed after disappointed by the whole thing.

Visited on bank holiday Monday. Well organised pub with covid restrictions carefully worked out. Sat in the teepee on a huge table. Would have been good for a large family so felt a bit odd just for two but better that than being hemmed in. Food was great served by an attentive and friendly young man. I had lamb which was really good, tender and perfectly cooked with asparagus and freshly shelled peas. The chicken supreme and mushroom risotto rice I tried was equally delicious. Rocket salad was a bit salty and too much vinegar but overall a really good dining experience by a pub who obviously care about their food and their customers. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Having heard good things about The White Hart I decided to book with some friends for Sunday Lunch.I was not dissapointed ( well, very slightly but i'll come back to that) We were greeted at the door and the covid19 precautions were explained to us, very easy to follow and well planned.Taken to our table and I immediatly noticed the spacing of the tables and general layout, wonderfully set on terraces with artificial grass. What I wasnt expecting was to be taken into a Teepee - awesome! We were served by very efficient and freindly staff, the chap who brought our wine was particlarly knowlegable and took the time to expain our choice which was nice. The food was excellent with a good choice of roasts and vegetarian options. Ah, yes therin lies the very slight complaint, one of our party asked for " Goats cheese and butternut squash pie" she was hard pushed to find any squash in there, but it was enjoyable. It's a shame that her dessert missed the mark too, the dark chocolate and salted caramel tart probably would have tasted nice but she was unable to hammer her way through the rock hard crust so we'll never know. But those two dishes aside the meal was first class, well cooked and presented. I had Ham terrine, Roast Lamb with roasted and seasonal veg, Sticky Toffee pudding - all delecious.I would definatley reccomend the White Hart and we will be back.

After an exploratory walk through the woods and common, went to the White Hart pub in Easton in Gordano. Excellent food, service, and the owner Mike, an expert in fine wine! So needless to say,I was in my element when I sent a glass of Pinot back ( to my husbands embarrassment)- he came back with a £30 bottle of Pinot Noir for me to try- excellent- never had a pub owner know so much about his wines, and offer to open something else if it didn’t suit my palate!!. He sat and chatted with us, about his personal journey and travel- so interesting. Food really tasty too. I don’t like pizzas but his were excellent ( I nicked half my husbands slices, it was so good- unheard of!), and his pea and asparagus risotto, superb. They have a great explanation of their Covid prevention system when you arrive and how they are running things whilst the pandemic is here. Felt very safe and cared for,as a customer. Will be going again soon, and taking friends and family there as and when they visit. Highly recommend it Sarajane & Brian

Dinner 26th August - unusual arrangement as the pub is almost of two halves in style the outside with various undercover areas and a teepee, possibly more suited to people with children or larger groups (?) we opted to sit inside which was more our style which seemed more suitable for a nice dining experience. The interior of the main building has a contemporary restaurant feel rather than a pub, comfortable and relaxed. There was very good provisions made for social distancing, sanitiser etc, and we were given helpful guidance on how to observe the systems put in place. There was a choice of red wines sold by the glass, my husbands first choice was not in stock, so he selected another, I asked for a large bottle of sparkling water, the server went to arrange this but returned after about five minutes with my husbands wine, but said they had no sparking water in stock! So I had a tonic water and we shared a jug of tap water. I ordered the three cheese arancini with truffle mayo, it was actually served with what appeared to be a light mustard mayo rather than truffle, the mustard tended to over power the arancini, I then had the trio of sausages with mash which were very nice. My husbands starter was the Ham hock terrine, served with toasted focaccia bread, but it was actually served with toasted baguette rather than focaccia, the ham hock had a good flavour and texture though, as a main he had pan fried rump of lamb, which he would have preferred pink rather than cooked with even colour all the way through (personal preference) but it still had a good flavours, the sautéed new potatoes and spring veggies were very nicely cooked, all of the courses were nicely presented, but we did feel that although there was not really anything to complain about, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations having read all of the reviews. We did have a nice evening though, all be it a bit disappointed overall. (would score 3 and half if that were possible!) Price wise, the menu is as most better end pubs, we used our £20 credit form the ‘eat out’ scheme which off set our disappointment, not sure I would have wanted to have paid the full value of the meal in normal circumstances though.

We’ve visited quite a few pubs this summer and this was definitely one of the best. Its a great looking building and beer garden (which is also a wedding/party venue). Nothing could be improved.

Visited last night with family and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was great and we were sat outside under the outdoor canopy that was lit up with fairy lights. The staff were great and attentive and recommended the chicken supreme mushroom risotto which was delicious. My husband had the steak which was cooked spot on. A very tasty meal paired with a lovely Spanish Rioja! Overall we had a lovely experience and will be returning.

We just had our Christmas meal at Shanicatti Shakes there was 10 of us. We had Afternoon tea, it was beautiful, sandwich’s, hot pastries, scones, chocolate flapjacks, sticky toffee pudding, apple crumble…. All made fresh and presented beautifully. I have to say it was so nice to do something different that wasn’t your standard Christmas meal. The service and love and care they put into what they do is outstanding. If you want a treat please go there you will not be disappointed. Thank you Shanicattis we will be back. 🩷

Popped here on way home as love old country pubs.. It is beautiful inside..old beams and a log fire..so cozy.. We both had veg soup and half a tuna mayo sandwich.. Also had thatchers cider...delicious.. Soup was hot and the sandwich was huge and packed out with tuna mayo.. Had a quick look at the garden..it has lots of different areas including an outside tv area.. Young girl serving our food was sweet and friendly.. We will be going back in the summer with our little dog as that garden is fab😁
