Popped in for a light lunch, and ended up finding a little gem. I ordered the eggs Benedict, eggs were cooked perfectly, lovely and smooth hollandaise, well seasoned. My partner ordered a jacket potato with tuna which she said was lovely. Her stand out favourite was the coleslaw, we both like it when people use thick mayonnaise to make it. All in all, just a lovely simple lunch visit with polite and helpful staff. We will be returning

This place was recommended (by a local tradesperson) and arrived thinking that even if it looks a bit ‘tired’ and slightly unloved, the food is probably the good bit… Staff (front of house) not unfriendly, but clearly a little tired too 🤔. Got a smile when mentioned the recommendation and from who. Asked for cheese & spinach omelette but with salad rather than chips. What a disappointment this was, though will grant them the spinach was fresh. A spoon of (likely bought as opposed to homemade coleslaw) next to badly chopped iceberg lettuce and flavourless tomatoes roughly thrown about. Omelette (for the amount of eggs used) was far too cheesy and very basic in looks and taste. Would have been happy to pay £11.95 for decent food but I’m afraid this offering was below par.

Our first visit to the village, came in with my husband and father in law, absolutely lovely atmosphere and the ladies were lovely! My husband’s a coeliac and much to our shock they were able to do a gluten free cheese and onion salad and he devoured it. We had the Bakewell Tart Cake… it was incredible. Really enjoyed our visit and it really added something special to our visit!

We visited for lunch. We sat outside because of the rare sunshire. Service was speedy and friendly-enough. They used stylish classic crockery. Lovely ambience. The panini was okay but rather small with limited accompaniments. The 'full English' was quite generous; the sausages adequate but very odd toast

Absolute credit where it is due! What a beautiful afternoon had by all. I booked this lovely little place for 9 of us to have afternoon tea. The food was delicious, so elegantly presented, sandwiches full with delicious fillings with beautiful fresh bread, scones served with jam and cream and the homemade cake was wonderful!! I highly recommend this lovely establishment, you will receive a warm welcome with the most amazing foods.

Really disappointed we came here for my birthday lunch 7/3/24 it was our first time visiting. we ordered 2 Bacon & Brie panini’s and a side of fries. We waited 45 mins and then our food came which a cold baguette . I said we ordered a Panini and she said this is what we call panini’s here so that was a real surprise. We would not come back here again very disappointed and the staff could not have cared less.

Called in for a takeaway hot chocolate and cake after walking in the area (it's good to support local businesses...). Quick service but very expensive imho. £16.80 for two (not very special - tasted like instant made with boiling water 🙁) hot chocolates and two (not very big) slices of cake. Small, rather 'intimate' café. Not sure I'd have enjoyed 'eating-in'. I'd like to think I was charged the amount I was by mistake...

A bit cramped and poorly decorated, but this is the first cafe that I've been to that has cooked my breakfast exactly how I like it. Each item was perfect (in my opinion). The prices are about right for a countryside cafe, more expensive than city prices, but definitely worth visiting if you're after a lovely breakfast. Friendly staff & customers.

My husband and I had passed this cafe a few times while staying in the area its tucked away in the centre md Winscombe just on the bend of the road that goes out towards Banwell. At last on our departure day - we got to pay it a visit. So glad we did - we had a warm welcome, a warm quiche just out of the oven and the most fabulous lemon drizzle cake any soul could ask for - we were very torn between that and the Apple pie - homemade and also just out of the oven - we'll have that next time because we will be back at the first opportunity. Also to commend - lovely lady in charge - thank you Also now realise they do Sunday lunches - if only we had known - on this form, I imagine they are lovely - next time though

Lovely little cafe and feels great to support local. Pretty reasonable prices, and nice coffee (although the cups were a tad small). Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Lots of lunch options, would be good to come back to. Updated review for 2023 - unfortunately due to cost of living, prices are so high here now :( such a shame! On the other hand, the cups were absolutely huge, although the decaf coffee is sadly leaving in flavor... Such a shame! Maybe I just went on a bad day this time? Still lots of food options although we were just having coffee and it was certainly busy!

Not my sort of place, ramshackle setup with some grotty chairs out front next to a very busy road, or a cramped inside seating area. Pretty chaotic. I cannot rate the Pantry At Winscombe highly enough! Always welcoming and more than happy to cater to all dietary requirements. Brilliant staff and service. I used the team from the Pantry to cater for our recent birthday party - 100 guests. The menu was inventive and varied, all communications well received and so accommodating especially as we requested a full vegan buffet! On the night of the party the food arrived exactly at time pre arranged, it was so beautifully presented, tray after tray of delicious food. Unfortunately I didn’t get to take a photos and regret this as it really was a picture to behold, colourful food decorated with edible flowers, so so beautiful. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was, surprisingly so for our meat eater guests! 100% satisfaction, please do not hesitate to use The Pantry for any events, promise you won’t be disappointed! Me, my parter and son stopped here for a drink and hoping for a bite to eat whislt riding along the strawberry line, we ordered our drinks which came out pretty quickly and staff were attentive. But unfortunately this is where it went down hill for us, the cups, glasses and milk jug we was given were filthy with grease and old crusty milk, my coke had what looked like dried milk floating around in it. When I took my coke back in to let them know, I nearly slipped on the floor where it was so greasy. One lady replace my can of Coke and seemed quite rude as I did not want to order food from there. But upon returning outside I noticed the new can of coke was filthy all around the top. After this we did complain to which a diffrent lady was very apologetic and gave us a refund. Will not be returning due to the lack of cleanliness and hygiene in and outside the premises.

I often visit the Pantry for lunch with friends and have been meaning to write a review. I love this place. What makes it so special is the people who work there. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the lady who owns it is just lovely. Today I visited with a friend and I had my favourite - chicken, brie and cranberry panini. It's such a great combo and comes with the tastiest coleslaw and freshest salad. You know when the salad is going to be good when the tomatoes are deep red in colour. My friend had the brie and cranberry sandwich on granary - she was blown away. The bread was cut thick and was clearly fresh in today. And don't get me started on the cakes! i usually have the Victoria Sponge with apricot jam (it's insanely good) but today I went for the lemon drizzle. It did not disappoint. I now can't decide which one is my favourite. The menu inside is varied and they serve breakfast all day. A great cafe, run by caring people and a wonderful ambience. Thank you :-)

Staying in this part of the country for work, been driving around for ages trying to find somewhere open to have some breakfast before work, passed this place (which was closed), saw a small Co-Op and was resigned to having a supermarket sandwich for breakfast. Parked up and off to one side noticed the slightly open door to this place. Slowly pushed open the door, half expecting to be closed, turns out it was open after all (YES!). Pushed for time so ordered a full breakfast to take away - best thing ever - perfectly cooked bacon, amazing sausages, hash browns, fried egg - everything about this breakfast was awesome. It was destiny all the other places were closed, this breakfast was meant to be!Breakfast so amazing that lost all personal pronouns!

We stopped in here for some breakfast, nobody else in there and waited absolutely ages for our breakfast. Such a shame as it was lush, but no idea why it took so long and can't afford to be out of work for as long as that took. Should just be a grab and go place. Would try again if quicker service
