Stopped here as just passing. Ordered 2 milkshakes and a slice of cake. Milkshakes were pored from a bottle of strawberry flavoured milk from the fridge and cake was a slice no more than 1cm thick. Total came to over £10 😯. Unfortunately we wont be going back!

Excellenr. Highly recommended. Been many times but this was first time since lockdown. Surprised so many adjacent businesses closed down. Alittle bit off the beaften track, so no 'passing trade' (which is a pity). Have to lnow it exists to visit. Well worth seeking out. Caters for vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters alike. They even had gluten free oprions (on everything) which was amazing! Only a small inctease in price (approx 4 years).which was surprising. Please give this place a try (or three). You won't be disappointed.

Best scone I think I've ever had - they cook them fresh every day. Came with extremely nice jam and clotted cream. Had a corned beef hash too which was great, very wholesome. Well decorated and a nice theme to the cafe, and friendly and helpful staff too. A lovely little place.

Visited this quirky little tea shop today for afternoon tea, a gift for my husband and myself from our family. It may be called The Blitz, but certainly no wartime rationing here! We were made very welcome by a lovely, attentive lady and enjoyed the most scrumptious afternoon tea with a choice of sandwiches and homemade cakes, and fresh scones with the traditional jam and cream (I couldn't manage mine and it was packef up for me to take and enjoy later!) A proper pot of real tea, and plenty enough for several cups for both of us.A very pleasant experience all round. Would certainly recommend and hope to visit again soon. We'll meet again for definite

Had read about this little café & decided on a visit….phoned on the morning & booked a table for 2 on the same day for lunch…a good idea as it was busy. A very small area with not too many tables, but the decor was interesting…wartime music playing softly would have been a bonus…maybe the toilets could do with a bit of TLC.. Could not fault the food, really good quiche, & the ploughman’s was excellent.. would return if in Weston again.

Had both the savoury and sweet afternoon tea options to celebrate a milestone birthday. The owner was lovely and happy to chat and answer any questions. Great choice of sandwiches and cake plus scones, all homemade, served with looseleaf tea on mismatched china. All absolutely delicious! The whole cafe is WWII themed absolutely fascinating and a great trip down memory lane for those who remember those times. If you're in Weston seek it out!

Quirky and interesting venue - someone had made a real effort to recreate the the 1940’s vibe. The whole experience was undermined by poor service and cool, disintetested staff. 35 minutes to get a pot of tea with scones and jam which consisted of a single scone each. I wouldnt mind but it took so long to get. Staff were all at the back chatting, it wasn’t unduly busy. It was ok, a bit overpriced but let down by mediocre service and disinterested staff.

Disregard the ignorant reviews from some people. This is a lovely tea room, with great atmosphere. They are a small team, of helpful friendly staff. I believe the blitz is going through a change of ownership, and they have lost some staff. But as the saying goes, the girls are "keeping calm and carrying on as best they can" Please support them through this time. It would be such a shame to loose this place.

Staff were attentive and welcoming and ofcourse all in costume! It was lovely to see a group from a nearby care home enjoying the experience too. Will be back, maybe for breakfast because this looked fab!

Excellent home made pub grub. I had the special of faggots and mash and my partner had the veggie burger. He’s usually fussy as he loves the fake meat ones the best, however he really loved this veggie burger as the veggies were lovely and it had a great crunch to it. The chips were amazing too. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a snack lunch and then, after our walk, a savoury tea. Service was excellent and the food tasty and well presented, the tea especially appreciated after our hike. Back in the car park, my wife bought an ice cream from the Tea Rooms' kiosk and then left her walking poles leaning against the wall (!) when we drove off. We discovered this when we got home and phoned the Tea Rooms. Without hesitating, David offered to go and see if the poles were still there - which they were - and then have them ready when we were able to return to pick them up during the following week. Exceptional service from a kind and thoughtful proprietor. Many, many thanks for your kindness.

We pop in to The old inn for lunch , having not been for quite some time, I must say we had such a warm and friendly welcome , the staff were very helpful and enthusiastic the food was homemade not some mass produced pre-frozen stuff . We both had the veggie curry and it was wonderful just the right amount too , it was a cold afternoon and to sit by the fire and eat the curry was just what we needed we will be back soon promise thank you for a lovely lunch.
