Very friendly staff and lovely food will be back in for more when we are back on holiday 😋

This place has been through a few different owners over the years. These new ones have definitely made a difference. However, we felt the portion of "large" chips we paid £4.50 for would barely be a "regular" portion in a "normal" fish and chip shop.

Exceptional. Best Sausage and chips I have had in a long time. They also have dog ice cream so my dog was very happy! So pleased it is open again and will be coming back!

Great place to eat in a lovely location. Nice fish and chips. Cheers and see you again next year.

Thank you to the wonderful new owners for not only taking on the thing missing most from Sand Bay- a quality place to dine but for making it a beautiful place to visit and providing excellent food drinks and Fish and chips as well, dine inside in clean and fun quirky but beautifully presented surroundings or outside under a timber covered area or larger outside area with picnic bench seating space, with a Doggie water barrel and bowl. Nice clean inside and out. A good menu choice, reasonable prices with the exception of a cup of tea which was the same price as a cup of coffee, very unusual. Fish and chips were very nice. Outdoor bins needed emptying

Lovely new refurbishment, great food and very welcoming owners! We ordered a couple breakfast baps for takeaway for a walk along the beach close by and we didn’t have to wait long at all. The staff even gave our dogs some nice treats! I recommend the Oreo hot chocolate too! The menu has so much variety, lots more than just fish & chips. Highly recommend.

Absolutely top notch fish and chips. Best I've had in a long time. Light batter with a hint of lemon. Beautiful fresh piece of cod. Can't go wrong coming here!!

Delicious food , the most friendly welcoming owners, great atmosphere and they serve alcohol, such a great experience, made me up a pea fritter which wasn’t on the menu and was superb. Highly recommend. Dog friendly too.

Came down to sandy Bay for a day trip walk along the beach and cliff. Lunchtime we couldn't not stop in the chippy and sample their delicious food. Freshly cooked, tasty and a fair price for a good lunch. Seating outside was available with a partially covered area with benches too. Water bowls were available for your canine friends. Parking is available outside but is limited, local car park available down the road and also a national trust car park

Really great chippy and a cafe as well that serves coffee and cakes. Dog friendly, sells dog ice cream and has covered seating out doors. It was busy but service felt efficient considering how busy it was. Chips and gravy was very good, some of the best I've had down this part of the world.

Just been recommended by a local B & B the owls crescent to come for a fish and chips dinner Was amazing lovely staff and excellent food 😍 👌 😋 the large cod and chips could of fed two people it was that big Would highly recommend to anyone

I'm not going to tell you to come here as you won't like it The size and tastiness of the fish (🐟 haddock for me), and eating outside, with sandbay for walking along before or after, getting away from it all, Right on my doorstep, I love it!

Covered outside space. Great on a nice day or even sheltering from the rain. Nice staff. Not cheap but nowhere is these days. Nothing else nearby so a welcome place to visit !

Dont bother with the cod, its like chewing cardboard

We popped into the chippy a few weeks ago with friends, it's a great location near to the beach, lots of tables outside, dog friendly lots of water bowls. The staff we're all polite and friendly. I have to agree with other review the service was slow, as they take your order and then you have to wait to be called, as for some reasons orderes aren't made up as they take them. We only tried chips they we're freshly made

Needed to fill 30min between appointments, had a fabulous carrot cake and coffee.

Chips were inedible, never seen anything like it. A mix of rubbery, hard crusts and soggy. Sounds like a contradiction but these chips had it all. It was like they heated up chips made the day before. We really tried to eat them but had to dispose. Such a pity as the location was lovely.

We only had ice cream but place very pleasant.

Had a lovely takeaway meal from here this week. A few of our party were coeliac and they had a good range of food that was gluten free. All food was cooked fresh and was tasty. Staff were all really friendly. The only slight complaint was that we asked for a salad with no onion and it had onion in it, I'm sure they would have resolved this if asked but we didn't notice until we'd walked a while down the beach and were tucking in to our delicious food so didn't want to stop and return for the sake of some onion. I'm looking forward to returning to sand bay for more chips in the sunshine soon!

Very friendly staff, had washrooms for customers but the food wasn't that tasty, oil needed changing for the fish and was rather expensive.

The guys at this place are amazing! Food is superb and fresh. This is the only place we buy fish and chips from and only come this way for their food! Keep up the amazing work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliant service from the young staff but the Fish ordered by one of our party was dry and unappealing with little flavour. My Burger was fine for the price, typical chip-shop burger and well priced with chips at £6.95 (plus 40p for cheddar cheese). Chips were fine but the less cooked, soft type. It was a very wet day but still fairly busy and I can imagine the atmosphere (and food) improving on a hot summer day as you are almost directly on the beach-front. If we return we'll try the Pizza, as there were plenty of options.

Absolutely delicious fish and chips. Freshly cooked while you wait, and they understand what extra salt and vinegar means 😋 There is a seating area and loos.

Food is very average and expensive for the quality/amount received, especially if you compare it the town centre "Kremes" we visited a day earlier and chose pretty much the same menu items. As the Sandy Bay cafe appears to be pretty much a monopoly in the area it is situated, it should probably be reviewing its prices/quality. This is not to detract from the Customer service which was 1st Class.

This cafe is superb. The fish and chips were the best I have tasted for a long time. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Emily who looked after us as my wife is disabled and she went way beyond what I would have expected to make sure we were looked after. There is also a wide range of other options such as tea,coffee,hot chocolate, as well as selling alcohol,beers and some spirits. Plenty of outdoor seating with some under cover. Parking is limited. We'll worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Very slow service. Food was OK but poor quality potatoes = poor quality chips. Outside seating only which was pretty dirty & all bins were full.

Worst chips I have ever had served by a young man who couldn’t care less .6 new customers tried to get served at 2pm and he told them I am closed time that this was taken over by someone who cares

It’s a good fish and chip shop and they also sell ice cream and hot drinks with a nice outside seating area, a lot of which is covered. Their coffee was very weak and they only sell Pepsi Cola. Generally the staff are very pleasant and their ice cream is great.

Great chippie! Halloumi recommended by teenager and gluten free home made pies really tasty.

Massive portion with great prices and plenty of seating outdoors. Shared a cod and chips with my partner and couldn't finish. Nice staff and about 3-5 front of house meaning quick service despite being really busy.

Lovely little chip shop with good value for money. Really nice fishcakes, chips, and a good-sized pot of peas! Nice little sitting area and bus stop across the road, which takes you to Weston Super Mare.

Large share box is a must for family, it was lush, they are also doggy friendly with doggy ice cream, water bowls everywhere, and outside seating area great. Very friendly staff, great food and a cider to wash it down. Our 2nd visit and won't be our last. Thank you very much Mark, Annalise, Marshall, Roxanne and a Jack 👍

Excellent chippie in the ideal position. Our visit was rather spoilt by another visitor listening to his phone at full volume, but that was nothing to do with the chippy itself.

First visit, heard lots of good reports. Great service, cooked fish fresh for us & brought it out when ready, chips delicious fish lovely, batter not good, very greasy, bland & not quite cooked, next time would ask for it well done

The chips were great... battered sausages... Great.. deep fried battered haloumi... Great. I'd struggle to fault it... it was great... heres the thing, I'd heard so much about this place I thought it would be exceptional... it was really good... I can't fault it... but I was really hoping to be writing that this was my new favourite Fish N Chips shop... but it wasn't... its still worthy of 5 stars!

Chips were good, onion rings were fresh…however all tasted very average and quite pricey compared to most chip shops.

Yummy fish and chips after getting a bit cold and wet from walking on the beach, but good service and didn't have to wait too long. Fish was nicely cooked and flaky, batter a little bit on the heavy side.

Stopped here for a bite to eat with the dogs after a long walk on the beach. Lovely friendly staff, a great variety of food and breakfast baps and have to say the best bacon and hashbrown bap I've tasted! Went down well with a lovely cuppa too. Lovely to be able to sit outside with the dogs too so a plus for us. Thank you!

We ordered 2 pizzas from here which were amazing, we then went back for fish and chips in the evening which was delicious. They were super busy, but the wait was worth it. Great value for money, the staff are 5 star. Thank you

The worst pizza I ever tasted. I know prices of ingredients have gone up but no excuse to ruin what could be a decent pizza. It was like biting into a hot pus from a 12” spot. Wife quite upset that we spent £20 on two pizzas that literally went straight into the car park bin. Maybe it was my fault thinking a fish n chip place could cook a pizza but it ain’t rocket science. Please don’t order for the sake of your wallet and to save them the embarrassment of returning ( which I wish I did).

Now then.... this little place, is a gem... its quiet, and out of the way of the weston tourist tribe.. but, the food is great, not at all overpriced...and came out hot.... just as it should. Id recommend this place... and will be back for seconds...👍😉

Very busy so took a long time for the food charged 40p for a sauce sachets even if youspent over £40.
