Really good food, good selection of vegetables. Shame you can only have 2 meats as would like a bit of all 3. Also no pigs in blankets which is a shame. Otherwise really delicious and will visit again.

We went to lunch on 25th with our family and everyone enjoyed their selves and the food was brilliant and they didn't take long to bring the meals out

Lovely food and good beer. For the second consecutive year my work colleagues think this is the best place in Nailsea for our Christmas Dinner

We enjoyed a family meal the other evening. Food was great with good selection. Staff were kind enough to seat us in a quieter part of the pub as MIL is a bit deaf and struggled in louder settings.

Really busy pub and I can understand why, everything was really good, food, staff, atmosphere. Any mistakes made are sorted out very quickly and with good grace.

The worst meal I've ever had, tiny jacket potato with what I can only describe as sticky white glue on top. Supposed to be cheese. £8.95.

Absolutely brilliant find!! We ate here for tea before catching a flight at Bristol Airport. Would highly recommend. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great kids menu plus a fabulous range of food for gluten/dairy free or vegan preferences. Will definitely be back if down this way again.

Came for lunch and it was really lovely. The beef bourguignon pie was delicious!! Staff were friendly. Timely service. Really nice spot.

Second visit for lunch. Welcoming and friendly staff. However the service was a bit slow and the dishes variable in quality and presentation. Probably above average pub food and a large menu. Able to recommend the cauliflower starter. Small plates a very good idea. Highly rated the cleanliness throughout especially the toilets - always a good guide. Worth visiting.

Fantastic service We had the beef bourguignon pie with roast potatoes and veg, it was a large portion with delicious gravy. Can't wait to come again to have the same.

Good gluten free options and great size portions

A very nice venue with friendly and polite staff. The only negative is that the beef on the carvery was very chewy apart from that the food was lovely.

There was a small problem in the beginning but it was quickly sorted. Food was superb etc. Definitely recommend

kitchen closes at 20.00. Our flight was delayed, at 20.20 nothing was possible anymore.

A super carvery lunch for the family after a long dog walk in the sunshine. A really excellent selection of meat, all of it extremely tender annd beautifully cooked. Every vegetable choice was deliciously prepared with extra flavour - nothing plain about any of it. All of the trimmings were available. Couldn’t fault the selection of food or the service. Thank you for making Fathers Day really special.

It had been a long time since we'd eaten at the Old Farmhouse in Nailsea, so we decided to give it a try. And we were not disappointed - the food, service and value were all good. The pub has a decent sized car park and lots of tables outside in an attractive courtyard setting - it was too chilly to be outdoors when we visited, but imagine it would be pleasant when warmer.

Nice venue, staff friendly but we had to visit the bar to order drinks and again to order food and table clearing took quite a while but, that said, the food was delicious and the menu offered a great choice

Really disappointed with my main course. Described beautifully on the menu as Souvlaki chicken. When it arrived, there were 2 tiny bits of chicken on a skewer. A flat bread that was like round cardboard with absolutely no flavour. It was like a wrap that had been in your cupboard 6 months. There was a feta and olive salad which was the smallest salad I've ever seen. And served on a mound of white rice with pomegranate seeds thrown in. This was £15.95. I didn't complain at the time as we were friends that were treating us. Will not be back. I left hungry.

Had a lovely 80th birthday here for 9 of us. Everyone happy.

1st visit to gauge local pub. Seemed decent enough. Car park adequate. range of drinks in line with what you expect. Able to sit outside. Good for children and dogs. Served food. Unfortunately not my type of pub, too many young children and people who allow their dogs to bark. Not good if you want to relax with adults

Best carvery I've ever had bit missed the pigs in blankets and roast potatoes weren't the best I've ever tasted but they are hard to get right.

Overpriced mediocre at best food.

Had the carvery, they were running low on a few vegetables and there were more parties arriving after we left. Food was delicious and I would definitely go again. Not a lot of parking but unfortunately a lot of nailsea is like this

Thought the food was very average. We were seated down the far end which had no atmosphere.

I had a lovely lunchtime meal here the other week with friends, very tasty light bite of fish 🐟 & chips 🍟 😋

We went here for the carvery yesterday as we usually do from time to time ( as a treat ) and to save me cooking a roast dinner. It hasn’t ever disappointed and the food is always delicious and hot.

Just met friends for drinks. Nice pub, good parking. Friendly staff

Had a couple of very nice meals here recently. Food choice is very good with lots of vegetarian options and the pub has a nice ambiance. The service was very good the first time we went but on our last visit it was a bit slow. We waited quite a long time to get the drinks we ordered and gave up on having a sweet because nobody came to take our order. Having said that we would go back again.

Wanted a casual lunch on a Saturday and decided to go to the Old Farmhouse which is well known for its Sunday carvery. Lovely friendly welcome and excellent service. Went for the Chicken New Yorker, Liver and Bacon, and Cheese Jacket Potato. Tasty, good value homestyle food for the family.

We stopped here after a disastrous visit to noahs ark zoo Park and this place was deffinately the highlight of our day. Although a bit on the pricey side, the food was absolutely stunning.

I love the farmhouse for many reasons . Friendly staff ,good service and reasonably priced menu. Never had a disappointing meal until last night when I ordered lamb chops . They were tough which is not at all the chefs fault so certainly didn't complain .But the pub should be aware so they can inform their suppliers.Everyone else enjoyed their meals.

So pleased we have a decent place to eat in nailsea, food is always good and great value. Sometimes have to wait a while but that's because it's so busy, worth the wait.

Nice pub but shame the food was poor. Burgers were burnt and didn’t taste good. My soup was okay but a bit oily. The last 2 meals here haven’t been great. Used to be much better so unsure if it’s changed or we’ve just been unlucky!

No good for vegans! Although there seems to be a good amount of vegan options on the menu most are vegetarian not vegan, so I decided to play it safe and asked for the vegan burger. I asked whether it was definitely fully vegan, to be clear when ordering. But when our food came out I'd been brought a veggie burger full of dairy, so they took it back and I had to wait while they cooked me the vegan one. When the right one came out the bun was small and very dry (I think it was gluten free) so I didn't eat it, the burger itself was more of a hashbrown, the fries were good, and there was coleslaw but it looked suspiciously dairy like so I didn't trust it enough to risk getting ill. I left feeling hungry. Very disappointed and won't be going back.

I went for lunch with friend. Excellent service. Food was very good. The portions were big. Light backnground music . We were not rushed. Good coffee after meal. I recommend going there . 😄

Always a lovely pub , great staff , tidy ,clean , & traditional look & nice atmosphere, Had our Xmas meal there all good.....

Such a shame the service was so poor. Sunday tables are limited to 2 hours which is fair enough but the service was really slow and not at all proactive, when our desert order was eventually taken we were told we only had the table for another 15 mins and then staff hung around has hassling us to leave as we ate it. Not very pleasant at all.

Once again, the Old Farmhouse provides a great lunch despite and thus was with almost all of the tables booked on a Tuesday lunctime. Consistency, quality, service and price is the trademark of this great pub.

2nd time visiting here and unfortunately not a great experience! Came here 3 weeks ago and the food, service etc was great, ce back tonight for a girlie catch up and unfortunately we won't be returning! The table given, although lovely was next to a boiling hot radiator ( I'm always cold but that was too much, even for me!) We were given another table ( no help moving all the drinks etc) last time we came, 2 of us had the garlic mushrooms which are amazing, 1 of my friends had this tonight, I had the ham hock terriane ( as our friend had it last time and it looked amazing!) I was given 1.5 very slim triangles of ham terriane, and 1 slice of bread over toasted so in bits, no butter, I sent it back as I'm not paying £8 for that! They replaced it with 3 pieces of terraine and half frozen bread! I ordered the ribeye steak ( £27 ) plus sauce, medium rare, steak was nowhere near 8oz, and burnt on the outside ( no not seared, burnt!) I had 1 bite and couldn't chew it, I gave my friend a bit and she was the same so I sent it back, I didn't want another 1. My friend had to send her burger back, twice as both times it was burnt and inedible!! Such a shame as we thought we had found a good eating place that was local! We won't be returning unfortunately

Excellent carvery on a Sunday, but you definitely should book. We got in at 2.30pm and had #173 and 174 carvery tickets. And we weren't the last. Worth it though

Lovely place with friendly staff. The interior is nice and cosy and there's veggie and vegan options on the menu, as well as a special board which changes regularly. Highly recommend the pies! They do a Sunday carvery with meat and veggie/vegan options. The Christmas carvery was incredible too!

A lovely homely pub, with a traditional menu. The food didn't exactly blow our minds... but the portions were very good for the price and it was all tasty! We have visited the Old Farmhouse a few times and have always enjoyed our visits. This time we met friends for Sunday roast, which is a carvery. I must admit I would normally avoid a carvery as in the past I’ve experienced dried meat and soggy vegetables, but rest assured you’ll get the best pub Sunday lunch possible here. Absolutely spot on, succulent meat and excellent veg. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and can’t believe how reasonably priced it was. Would certainly recommend a visit and we’ll definitely be back.

Please consider booking a table prior to your arrival. It is very busy, especially on Sunday. In regards to carvery, I believe they have the most tasty beef and pork I have tasted. The hygiene and the organization is another level. The carvery was so organized, tidy and tasty.

It's a great place to have a pint or use the dinning area. Food is great and the Sunday carvery is fantastic. Give it a go if you haven't been.

This Sunday roast offering was adequate, slightly below par for the price. It would be great to see it elevated by better roast potatoes which were rock solid - I appreciate roast potatoes en-masse is difficult but it can be done and makes all the difference

It's an old farmhouse so as advertised - some great features to observe if you like architecture - food was pub+ and good service, obviously popular - a take your mum on her birthday kinda place.

Great county pub. They offer a fantastic range of Gluten Free food, which was very tasty. Service was a bit hit and miss.

Visited the farmhouse for a carvery , past experience we've had a nice meal . We Ordered 5 small meals because we didn't want large ones. When in the queue to get our meals the chef said 'not serving me because we got a child ticket'?? I said its a small plate and had it before but the chef told me no way serving me i need to pay the difference. I understand that is their rules but the way he spoke to me in front of everyone was disgusting. Will not be visiting again, came to ring of bells pub in nailsea and had a lovely meal on a small plate !! In a way did us a favour, but perhaps sort out customer service or lose customers !!

A great surprising little gem hidden in the back streets of Nailsea. Well staffed with happy, competent workers and a lovely spot in the garden amongst generous seating. Food was fab, looked great. My burger was slightly over cooked, but the rest was awesome.

Wasn't overly busy, was seated and server said she'd be back to take drink order. 15 minutes later had to chase her. 30 minute wait for food, one meal ok but other two nothing special with excessive red onion slices a theme. Finished eating and could have walked out as all staff seemed to have disappeared. It's become a bit of a pattern there when not a Sunday carvery.

Solid meal. You get your usual pub classics here. All good cooked nicely and tasty. Surprisingly impressed with the food.

Food was lovely. Service not so great. Not busy and lots of staff. Had to ask for drinks that were missing twice. When I asked for the bill I waited 20 mins, had to ask again and was told we are clearing up ! Eventually it came. Been here a few times but won't be returning.
