Lovely cafe. Excellent food all freshly cooked. Good variety of dishes. Lovely vibe.

Food was excellent and service quick and friendly. Decent music at a nice volume in the background. This would be a 5* review were in not for a couple of things that niggled me.. Firstly, ‘we do not do swaps’ for items on the Full Marina breakfast. For someone that has an intolerance of eggs and hates black pudding… this annoyed me. To remove 2 things from the plate and not be able to put 1 of literally anything back on it… Came across as a bit mean tbh Secondly, it gets pretty hot inside given the close proximity to the kitchen. It was def noticeable but not enough to affect my overall enjoyment of the meal. I feel these 2 things warrant knocking off a star, I’m afraid

Decent little cafe on a business park in Porishead. Excellent breakfast and plenty of options. Good service and with a smile. A cracking little cafe that can get busy at times as it is very popular with locals.

The full marina breakfast is by far the best in the Bristol area. Soo good.

Had the most amazing breakfast, top quality food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Lots of varied options on the menu catering for everyone. Everything cooked nicely and so tasty, will definitely visit again soon.

Just whipped in for a takeaway and was very busy i ordered a sausage and egg sandwich. Amazing top quality sausages and service was rapid and the price is bang on very pleased.

Fabulous, utterly delicious. Would highly recommend the meat free breakfast, so tasty, well presented and the staff were delightful. Hidden gem of a place and we loved the vibe so much came back every day we were in Portishead. Thanks, we will be back.

Came 2 days on the trot for the meat free breakfast.....absolutely THE best breakfast ever!!! Staff were lovely and polite Cafe was spotless. Food was cooked fresh using the best ingredients...well worth the trip from Manchester😊

The food was well worth the wait for it to be freshly cooked, I had the full breakfast, and believe me, you will need a real appetite to finish the plate. Well done to all. It was so good I'm making a detour on the way home to call again. Superb

Ate breakfast here twice while visiting Portishead as it was just down the road from our hotel. Good quality ingredients, cooked well. Service with a smile from the young girls on both occasions. Value for money, good playlist and a nice place for a filling breakfast.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast here on the last day of our holiday before heading home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend - the queue says it all!

This is a little gem. Vibe is lively and busy. You'll be lucky to get a table if you're not early. Food is freshly prepared and portions are well worth the price (come hungry!) Also caters for gluten-free / dairy free / vegan / vegetarian. Believe they do breakfasts, lunch & early dinner sittings over weekends. Staff very busy but were still friendly and helpful. Advised of delayed waiting time when we sat down due to being completely packed.

The best place! We had a delicious nutritious lunch at Cafe Marina. Gets busy but never stressed. Also great for breakfast, (I love the home made pancakes with fruit ) but the traditional Full English is amazing. Lots of choice and always friendly.

SO very rude !! We walked in at 10past 1 , sign on the door said open , people was sat eating ! When we sat down, the owner came cross and said very sharply “ WE ARE CLOSED “ he should have said , we have stopped cooking now !!!!! Feeling confused he just shouted again “ WE ARE CLOSED!!! He said to my parted across the cafe ! “Now f###k off or I will put you in a comma !!! This man was very very rude ! He Did not explain his self , and made very strong accusations!! And there was children sitting there !!! I will never never walk in that cafe again !!!!!! Disgraceful!!!!!

Fantastic breakfast and excellent service. If it was located close to the marina it would be great. Clean venue which is part of a commercial estate.

We eat at this gem of a restaurant regularly and highly recommend it.. The food is superb with generous portions and the tastiest breakfast we have ever had. Gavin, Suzanna, his family who also work there and his staff are extremely hard working and always welcoming. We really appreciate the service and food they provide. Thank you

Went for mother's day breakfast for 3, what a little gem of a cafe. The staff were all super nice. The food was amazing and the poached egg was perfect. Drinks were nice and hot, oh and dogs allowed too. such a friendly atmosphere. Totally recommend.

Great place for weekend brunch or breakfast, we've been several times and it's the best place for cooked breakfast in portishead. I recommend the eggs Benedict, Marina breakfast and vegetarian marina (although I wish it came with beans!!)

The food there is absolutely amazing. The sausages and bacon were delicious, give you an option on how to have your eggs cooked. The breakfast menu is quite vast and it's reasonably priced as well. The seating is comfortable. Definitely recommend coming here .

Staying locally in the Premier Inn. Decided to try here for breakfast as it's only an 8 min walk and very glad we did. Food was gorgeous and great value for money. Varied choice for breakfasts in addition to the usual fry up. Can recommend the smashed avocado. Banging tunes playing! Slightly difficult to spot from the road but Google maps has it spot on.

Good food but definitely in need of a ventilation system. Kitchen has no ventilation to remove smoke. It was hurting my eyes just sitting in here. Apart from that good quality food and good staff.

A great friendly place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Their salad boxes are fantastic. I’ve also used their outside catering for several family events and can’t rate their no nonsense straightforward approach to this more highly. The food is such a lovely quality and all homemade. Looking forward to planning another event so I can book them again!

Best cafe and best full English known to man

Best full English breakfast in Portishead, great coffee! Simple, busy cafe, pleasant servers, our favourite for breakfast.

We only got takeaway coffee while we waited for our electric car to get charged at the Instavolt station across the road. Their food looked great and I was bit bummed out that I didn't have time to sit down and eat. The staff were very friendly and plenty of customers dining in. The coffee's were fantastic , well done guys.

Foods are cooked upon the time of your orders, so they serve you with hot plates and at an economical cost.

Tucked on the edge of a small business estate, a couple of minutes walk from the Marina (and actually at the end of a pleasant walk from the waterfront along a stream) is this functional looking, dog friendly café. We went on a Sunday and were met with a friendly wave from the open plan kitchen. We took a brunch menu and ordered one "Half Marina" and one "Eggs Benedict" along with a Cappuccino and a tea. Firstly, my Cappuccino was absolutely delicious - the best I'd had from a café in ages. And the food was equally as good. Really nicely cooked, great quality ingredients and the Hollandaise sauce for the Eggs got a big thumbs up from my connoisseur partner. So really good price for the quality. Delicious food and a great welcome. Note that this would also be a great pit-stop for cyclists as the café has outdoor seating and lots of space for bikes

ENTER WITH CAUTION!! I regret to report an extremely unpleasant experience at Café Marina. Upon my visit this morning! I encountered an unfortunate situation with the owner. Instead of addressing a simple order issue politely ( HE got my order wrong), I was met with disrespectful language and offensive behaviour…. shouting swear words at me! This type of conduct is unacceptable in any establishment. Furthermore, I learned that the owner, who also serves as a barista, has a history of violence which resulted in a loss of his barista license. It is my sincere belief that individuals of such character do not deserve the support of patrons. I strongly urge potential customers to reconsider supporting this establishment! i never write reviews, but i was left in disbelief how someone can be so horrible. he clearly needs some help… but i know Mr Karma will do his thing! all the best to the young girls that work their that think this is acceptable. ciao!

When arriving wasn’t sure if the previous reviews that brought us here were cosure as initial thoughts were on the negative side on first viewing. However the place was busy and we managed to find a couple of seats at the end of a long table. On ordering we were told that it would be a 30 minute wait for food so a bit longer than ideal maybe but they were busy. On the menu it states that all food is done freshly from scratch on order but we’ve all seen that before but after tasting our omelettes I believe. I don’t know the last time I ever enjoyed a breakfast meal more. So tasty. And the staff were excellent without exception. Sadly we were only pausing for brunch on our trip from the midlands to the south west but intend to deviate again to call in our way back in a weeks time. So good to have the quality food and service provided here and hope they realise what they do is appreciated.

I've come to Cafe Marina twice now and both times really enjoyed my experience. The most recent time it was a really busy Sunday morning but the staff were still really polite explaining they couldn't accommodate any swaps during the rush. The food was lovely and the vanilla latte was so good. I went for the half marina for breakfast and it was lovely. The sausages and bacon were so good. Really recommend.

A lovely little cafe hidden away. The food was delicious and the chef definitely had a passion for what he was doing. However, with an open kitchen, his passion came out as screaming at the young girls taking orders and waiting on customers. This made me feel very uncomfortable and sorry for the girls. The cafe was busy but not full and I don’t know if they would usually have had other staff, but the stress from the kitchen was felt across the whole cafe. Unfortunately this ruined my experience and would make me think twice about returning. My friends and I felt that the girls appeared scared and unhappy. This does not make for a good environment. The girls could have done with some encouraging support in how to treat customers and how to serve food & drink (don’t put your fingers on the rim of the cups you are serving, attend to customers first rather than turning away to attend to the screaming chef etc) The food is wonderful here, but is not the only part of the experience. Treat the staff with respect and kindness and you will have a 5-star cafe.

Lovely place, good coffee and food but for me, the soundtrack is excellent. Anything from any era, some absolute belters. Sets the mood perfectly.

I read the review and thought id give it a chance, I can 100 percent say it's the worst customer service I have ever experienced, myself and colleagues walked in and one shouted to the other where the bloody hell did all these people come from then huffed and served us. You would think they would be grateful for the custom! Completely put off from going here again and the staff should probably get jobs where they can be grumpy and ignorant and it not affect someone's day

I have just been back to Marina Cafe for lunch and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is fresh, home-made and the most delicious I’ve ever had. So good I asked for takeaway broccoli frittata so my family can enjoy it for tea later too. It’s so rare to be able to find a cafe that makes high quality fresh food and soooooo healthy. I had mine with a greek salad portion and home-made coleslaw. It was 100/10!!!!! Followed by coffee and walnut cake. Yum!! I don’t want to recommend them but only because by doing so more people will visit and prevent me from enjoying these delights in future because it’s not a large cafe and lunchtimes are naturally busy but it’s toooo good not to share! Well done to the Team. Delicious!!! And great value too!!

The food here is so good, and the team working on the morning on Sunday the 6th were excellent. We turned up as a table of 15, very hung over people and received wonderful and quick service

Amazing service, really friendly staff and the food was unreal. Massive portions as well which was great after you’ve worked up an appetite for brunch. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Great coffee, breakfast and service

Everything on the plate was fresh cooked, hence slight wait, and could see and taste was quality produce, (especially the bread, sausage and bacon). The Mocha coffee was REALLY good! Bit more than I would normally pay for a 1/2 breakfast but very much worth the price. Enjoyed every mouth full. On Marina Road, hence name but absolutely no view of the Marina, just a car park. If had a Marina view then you would be paying even more tho?

Very good food, probably the best fresh breakfast i have ever had. Really good prices as well. ££££ They need the same breakfast but remove the potatoes and replace them with 2 hash browns, please.. Really need to also add on their menu as of my own creation if you will. (The big bouy) 3 Hash Browns 3 bacon 3 sausge 3 egg 2 black pud Fried or normal toast Fresh Tomatoes not tinned. Beans Mushrooms Coffe wanst great to much of those fake syrups also mocha coffe was powered.

One of if not the best full English you can have outside of home cooking. Top quality products and cooked to perfection.

Cafe Marina is the best breakfast in Portishead. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and where they source their food. We eat there regularly and would recommend it to others.

Well. I've always recommended this Cafe, but it appears you cannot approach the staff if you question your order! My Cappuccino was in a standard mug with just over a quarter of coffee and milk just about a sip's worth. I thought there might be a mistake and asked the staff at the counter only to be told by the rude chef to leave ! I was not rude or aggressive and suggested if i drink this and have another as an easy solution. Gobsmacked by this outburst and completely taken back, I removed myself from this situation. Warning ⚠️ do not complain about anything or expect backlash from someone who needs anger management.

Well what can I say first time visiting staff are lovely very polite also the breakfast was delicious I would definitely recommend coming here food was all cooked at the right temperature and very filling I will definitely be coming back here soon. Very happy customer

The price is slightly higher, but the portion is large. One meal can be eaten by two people, and there are parking spaces for guests.

Didnt like curled plastic cover on table. Ordered chopped advocado on toast and there were several pieces of advocdo peel mixed in which was unpleasant, meantioned this to server who was uninterested. Poaced eggs were lovely.

Tasty food, excellent value and very generous portion sizes

Visited when staying at the nearby Ibis as we fancied a cooked breakfast . The breakfast menu was great with both veggie and vegan options. I had a half marina which was still massive and my husband had a vegetarian breakfast which he also enjoyed l the food was cooked to order so was very fresh and delicious. I didn’t want beans or black pudding and I think they must have put 3 eggs in my scrambled egg to make up for it! I did t need to eat again until tea time! Definitely recommend (I also mentioned how good the breakfast was in my review of the Ibis so hope you get more people walking past Wetherspoons to find you!)

No nonsense cafe not fancy good value for money although a steady stream of customers the service was very quick very friendly staff and the coffee was better than alot of the bigger chains didn't have anything cooked but the bakewell tart I had was lovely would definitely come again if passing

Gone down hill, fried potatoes which were just new potatoes chopped in half, tomatoes were cherry as you would have on a salad, very greasy mushrooms, not a marina breakfast to me. Seems very lazy, felt like I paid a lot for what I got

This is the first time eating here, staff very accommodating, my husband had the marina breakfast which came with 2 slices of granary toast. As I had not long had bariatric surgery and am unable to eat much, the staff provided me with marmalade and a plate, so I had the toast. Every aspect of my husbands breakfast was cooked to perfection, will be back!

Motorway stop off after a 5 30am start. Great food and service, but not quite the 'Marina" view, I was kinda hoping for! More like a view of an industrial estate car park... but decent nonetheless...

Disappointing, we went there for breakfast this morning. Asked for a slight change to full breakfast on the menu, was given a flat no, which even shocked the young girl taking our order. Then meal was sub-standard

Me and my good lady had looked on the Internet for a nice cafe to have a nice Sunday breakfast and cafe marina come up and iordered half marina breakfast and vegan breakfast it came out very well presented tasted fantastic staff very friendly we thanked the chef please keep up the good work we recommend to everyone thank you

Leaving 5 stars to avoid hitting your stats. Feedback (from 12/11 brunch): your “tex mex hash” was very disappointing, very low flavour and no fried potato, more like a stew/soup than a hash. Do better! Good vibes though.

The Cafe is a short walk from the Marina. We stayed in the Ibis hotel where breakfasts are a bit basic. Having looked on Tripadvisor we thought we’d give Cafemarina a go. Only 2 minute walk from the hotel and what a find. I had the full breakfast and my wife had “the best eggs Benedict”. Absolutely brilliant, proper thick cut bacon and pukka sausages all piping hot and served with a smile. It was really busy and rightly so. Would happily eat here every weekend if we weren’t 150miles away. Fantastic and highly recommended. Thanks to the owners and staff for a great pre-holiday fill up.

Best breakfast in Portishead, staff are great and helpful and the chef is brilliant and can make any changes for fussy children (like ours!) or dietary requirements. Lovely food and lunch is great too. Can’t recommend enough.

If I could come here everyday, I would! The food is amazing and varied. I don’t understand the reviews that mention rude staff - I come fairly regularly and often on my own for some breakfast and have always been made very welcome. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but give it a go and you’ll not regret it. Hands down, my favourite place in Portishead.

Food always superb. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for a brekky. However always waiting long period of time for coffee from machine. Could be more organised there. The team are lovely though and chef’s work very hard☺️

Lovely homemade food which we enjoyed, however we can't ignore the uneasy and unwelcoming atmosphere. We visited for the first time with young children and although other young children were using the facilities we were greeted with an unwelcoming experience and unfriendly staff. Hot drinks were brought to the table and put down and left directly in front of youngest child who clearly was not drinking a coffee!

Terrible customer service - tried order for 10 people over the phone from a local company... was told that they don't take phone orders 'because that was during Covid' even though it states on their website that they take phone orders over £20! The male over the phone was rude and made no sense with his argument to why he wouldn't take the order. He said we would have to drive, park, wait in the queue place the order, then leave and return in 20-40 mins! I said 'can I not just place the order now like I am standing in the queue then come in around 20 minutes? he said 'that's just too confusing?!?!' he said 'I am not talking about this you cant order over the phone'! .... terrible attitude !! So youve just around £80 and repeat orders!!

The food is second to none. Really tasty, great combinations of ingredients, excellent portions, quick to come and interesting choices of dishes, as well as usual breakfast type options. Music and atmosphere make it a really good place to relax in. On a warm day...

Cafe Marina is our go to for breakfast/brunch. Amazing food, great coffee. We also love their takeaway pizzas too. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere, but above all the quality of the food is second to none.
