The best restaurants in Frome Market Mendip South West

We sat outside in the warm evening, and the Tapas menu looked okay, nothing astonishing. Tapas ingredients are, by definition, very cheap potatoes, olives, bread, chicken, tomatoes and yet the prices are really, really expensive, The food when it came was fine, the bill was not, £100 for two and we left hungry.

We got take out tonight and my god I could order from here regularly. The food is amazing, there is so much flavour you wouldn't know it is vegan.

We had asked Lungi Baba's to cook a feast for my mum's birthday at our house for 16 people and we were treated to an absolute glorious dinner - fantastic food with a selection of beautiful dishes and chutneys. Very straightforward to organise and it was picked up from The Station approach in steel containers. It was clear the food is cooked with love and thought - the perfect addition to a wonderful party. Excellent community cafe with very affordable meals to eat in or take away. Home cooked food with teas & coffees at great prices. Very friendly atmosphere. Benefit advice. This cafe has been running for over 15 years on the corner of Trinity St & Selwood Rd. Open Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 1:30pm.

Delicious succulent chicken gyros with all the trimmings. Absolutely delicious and great value £8 each. Other flavours also on offer

Good Pizza! Says what it does in the name. Visited cheese and grain for gig last night. Arrived early just before good pizza opened. Pizzas looked really good so ordered ours with some antipasti squid and halloumi fries with a Margherita and Tutti Salam. It was cooked fresh to order hot antipasti was divine and super delicious wood fired pizza. As a bonus the owners were hilarious, really friendly and fun. Not sure if this is a pop up on gig nights or not but if it is or isn’t we’d highly recommend these guys.

We were very lucky to get a pavement table for the lunch service as a walk-in. The staff manage the magic trick of making everything relaxed and easy whilst juggling a full restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful, you can see all the attention to the little details like the olives and the flatbread. We could definitely go back and order the other half of the menu. Thank you High Pavement!

What a wonderful place this is. Just dropped in for a drink and a sit down and we were delighted to find gluten free cakes on offer too, delicious! Non-dairy 'milk' is also available. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We love their ethos and what they are doing to support the community 👍

Flat white, good price, best in town.

In the past fish was second to none top quality lovely white and chunky now poor quality thin and none tasting use to be best fish and chips

Really lovely location spoiled by a really boring menu and super grumpy staff and quite expensive. Was a little shocked when I asked if it was possible to change something instead of a human response I got a grunt and a point to the sign on the wall that says no changes. Like that's ok but no need to be so rude. It's not just me either saw a lot of that happening to other people. The little cute ducks are cool. Just got the feeling that everyone working there really really hates their jobs.

Just had a fabulous time at this lovely restaurant. We are not from this area so did a bit of research as to where to go. Castello did not disappoint, the waiter was attentive and fun, the food portions were large and delicious. I couldn’t finish mine! We had bruschetta to start, one between two would have been enough. The seafood risotto was delicious. We will definitely return if we visit Frome again, thank you!

The food is flipping amazing tbh, vegan burgers with all the magic. So good.

Great place for a craft beer and awesome salami!
