NOOK in Mendip

Went there during opening hours albeit towards the end of the day. They wouldn't make me a smoothie cos they turned off the smoothie machine. I then bought one of their food items on the stand. When I got home it smelt like fish amd crumbled on touching. Poor quality. I have been there before and enjoyed their smoothies. But if you advertise opening hours then surely you need to be able to serve your menu at those time. If you stop serving the menu at 1550 then adjust your closing hours accordingly so people trying to catch some food aren't left disappointed.

Ordered the Berry Acai bowl for breakfast, and the Sesame Tofu bowl as take out for dinner. Absolutely delicious. Friendly service too. Will definitely be back.

Cute and cosy restaurant, ideal for breakfast and lunch, which was when I visited. Nook has limited seating inside, but provide a takeaway service to help you get your fix of their food. Friendly staff and patrons, centrally located and tasty food with vegan options and meat (bang bang chicken and a fish dish) for omnivores, as well as hot beverages and colourful healthy fruit smoothies.

Bought 2 poke bowls. Ludicrously expensive for what is mostly rice. A bit of tinned sweetcorn and anaemic kale that was completely yellow and hidden under other food. And I suspect from Lidl. Throughly disappointing for the price and the illusion of health

Shared a Beetroot Houmous poke bowl and Cacao and acai smoothie bowl, delicous, healthy and definitely a place to come back to when I'm in the Frome zone.

Great place for a quick yummy & healthy lunch. So many gluten and dairy free and plant based options. They also have bowls w animal protein that are very generously portioned. Highly recommend!

I just slipped in for a quick drink but after I sat down, I couldn't figure out what took me so long to visit this place. It's full of honest-to-earthy-goodness vibes and I didn't wanna leave. I cannot wait to get back for a wholesome meal and luxuriate in the beautiful simplicity that all the major chain restaurants just don't get.

Excellent banana bread, toasted to warm it up, and served with coconut yoghurt, maple syrup, blueberry compote, toasted almonds and a banana.. sublime! A great stop during my cycle trip.

We stumbled across Nook independent coffee bar with food In King Street, Frome.Lucky us. superb coffee,tea , smoothies, salads, Buddha bowls,and desserts and lots more .

What an amazing place, I really recommend going. The food was incredible, so many flavours and textures, it was devine. I have to confess I didn't know what all the ingredients were, or how to pronounce the dish I ordered - Nori + Ginger Tofu Poke Bowl. My companions ordered other dishes but they were equally delighted with their choices and I would have happily eaten any of them. Not only was the food incredibly tasty it was also really healthy, win win. I felt full for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening, which I have to say I often don't find the case with many 'healthy' options. The staff were all really friendly, helpful and informative and didn't tire of our various questions. I am now looking reasons to go to Frome or Bath so that I can eat more of this scrumptious food!

Excellent and healthy food options. The food here is delicious as are the drinks and cakes. Genuinely something for everyone. Only drawback is it's a small space so sitting in isn't always guaranteed but the takeaway packaging is very good and convenient so isn't really an issue.

Great food for healthy hipsters, provided you can afford it! Interesting, unique menu of faultlessly presented wholefood goodies, with vegan and vegetarian lunch and breakfast options as well as the more Paleo orientated items. I would give it 5 stars if I could afford to eat here more often, so many times I pass it by with a sigh...

Nook is brilliant. Nook Lady is very nice, and Nook Man is also great too. Hoping Nook Man's ear gets well soon and that Nook continues to be successful.

Didn't eat but it looked lovely. Difficult times for all but please serve customers in order of arrival. New customers should wait untill the previous customer has their item. Very nice coffee.

Just tried my first bowl and it was amazing. Delicious and healthy! Looking forward to trying more of their food, will make this place a regular lunchtime visit.

Love this place! Delicious and healthy food and drinks. I’ve eaten here for lunch several times and popped in for drinks and sweet treats a few times too. Poke bowls and smoothies are my favourites along with the brownies. Very friendly team as well. Looking forward to my next visit 👍🏻

Would give it 1000 stars if I could ! Cannot recommend this place enough - food is incredible, so many options both plant based and non plant based (tofu poke bowl and banana bread are unreal), cutest interiors, and really reasonably priced. So lovely to see an authentic independent establishment that truly cares :) a must visit !! X

An amazing little hipster cafe/juice bar in Froome recommended by a friend and it was certainly worth the visit! The food is incredible and so filling with loads of choices as you can customise your own dish. They have a great selection of choice including vegan options and a range of super smoothies. Overall a great cafe for lunch or just to grab a drink, perfect for vegans and anyone who wants a healthy alternative for lunch!

Finally got a chance to try Nook yesterday. Have heard so many great things about it. Absolutely delicious I had the açai breakfast bowl and a red juice. Will definitely be back. Owners really friendly and told us all about the dishes. All freshly made and super healthy. A must try if you are in Frome.

Good food bit the service could be a bit quicker

Lots of fresh delicious ingredients served in a bowl? Yes please! Had been meaning to try Nook for ages and I wasn't disappointed. Asian inspired poke and broth bowls with lots of options so you can pick and choose what to have in your bowl. They are really accommodating about substitution requests and allergens and great for vegetarians and vegans. The only downside is that they don't open in the evenings, which means I won't get to eat there so often.

The food at Nook is simply Wonderful. Highly recommended. Not to be missed.

Popped in here for lunch with 2 friends after a recommendation from local shop keeper. Cannot rate it highly enough! Simple concept, fresh ingredients, amazing flavours. Very small premises with mixture of stools, chairs and small tables.

Lovingly fresh healthy food & drink You have the option as well to enjoy their products right there and then in their small seating area. Team is very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. And it gets made to order.
