A visit to the Boatyard Cafe & Bakery on Exeter Quay is a unique experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and not only can you enjoy some beautifully prepared and presented food, you can also glimpse the bakers at work preparing the special bread and other goodies they have available.
The staff are welcoming and dedicated, which is why it is so popular, with a huge turnover of customers for breakfasts, lunches and all the goodies from the bakery.
If you haven't yet given it a try, do pop down to the Quay along Haven Road, and drop in to the Boatyard experience asap. You won't be disappointed I promise!
Hadn't been to a pizza place for ages.
Very friendly staff & pizza was ok.
Salad bar was alright, but a little messy.
I hadn't realized how much these shop pizza's are now.
Nonetheless not bad.
Did I say staff were good.
Popped on before 11.00am and got a breakfast baguette (including 4 fillings) and coffee for £4.50. Both were delicious. Bakery staff knowledgeable and friendly. Clean premises and all food nicely displayed. Would definitely recommend and use again.
The staff are very friendly I had pork ribs they tasted so good and meat was so tender and my wife had shredded lamb which also fantastic I highly recommend plus salad and veggie bar keep up good work
Wow!!!! I don’t know what I was expecting but probably the best cup of coffee I have had. And reasonably priced. I paid £3.60 for a latte to go. And it was so good. The food inside looked amazing, and with its contemporary design would make for a great meeting place.
Very plain and lacking any sophistication, but the food is just fab and it s very inexpensiveWeve been several times. The Everest and Base Camp curries and sweet and sour curry are just splendid and the Naans super.

Thanks to friendly girl who helped us tonight with our gift card for some delicious doughnuts! 😅 Maybe called Molly (sorry if forgot 😆) Made our pre-Christmas! Many thanks 🎄
People were nice and the idea of it is nice but the execution of customer service was rubbish. Took 15 mins for coffee to come out and one was luke warm. Asked for a replacement which was provided. Food took 45 minutes and the chips were cold which was surprising because it was not busy and not peak lunch time. Portion size of dirty fries was small for the price. Overall just ruined the whole vibe and we probably won’t return.
Love this shop! I can get my Taw Valley milk organic veg and a fabulous coffee! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit🙂

Honest Review. Having to ask for more onions and still thinking it’s stingy is never good. Stingy is the core of this review. Had salad very little lettuce or tomato 1 slice to be true. Burger was tasty enough but greasy. Likely because he fried it in a load of oil. It was average. Best thing was probably the sauce choices. Baconaise made the burger.
