Really good quality coffee here using local Crankhouse coffee beans. Food is also really nice and really good value for money - recommended.

Looked lovely from the outside but once in it really let us down. Seemed to be plenty of staff but the tables were dirty so we asked for one to be cleaned. Possibly should have just found somewhere else to eat but as we were already in we persevered. The food took ages to arrive and unfortunately it was not worth the wait. Such a shame.

A group of us got in for approx 11am for breakfast, found a dirty table and cleared it ourselves after being seated for a while and realising the staff weren’t going to do it! Ordered at the counter to see the woman cook wearing her pj bottoms? Had some man i presume the owner hovering over us asking how many were eating and how long did we think we’d be as the table was reserved for lunchtime..at this point we had been waiting for 50 mins for our food, he was told depends on when you serve the breakfast!! The food was dire scrambled eggs were brought out looking pallid and was mistaken for an omelette as that over cooked..fried eggs were just as bad..never again..service awful..atmosphere terrible..think some courses in customer care wouldn’t go amiss

I have visited a couple of times in the last month, being on maternity leave, and keep wanting to go back! I have stopped in for cake and coffee with fellow mums and babies and it is very family friendly with a baby change and big toy area. Last week my husband and I decided to try the Wednesday roast dinner .. such good value for money! I had a small size roast lamb for £4.95 and hubby had a large roast chicken for £5.95 - the portions were generous and the food was really good! I don’t know anywhere else that does a home cooked roast for less than £5! We booked our table in advance as they get very booked up, but this was also helpful as we ordered our meat choice in advance and it meant we didn’t have to wait long for our food to come after we arrived. The only negative was that there was no dessert option, they normally offer a dessert for £1 but were fully booked for lunch and had not had time to make one that week. I would definitely go back for the roast again, and have also eaten from the normal menu (sausage, egg and chips) which was also really good so I will be returning for sure. How busy this place gets is a testament to how nice it is :)

I popped in today on the off chance I could get a table. When I walked in I was greeted by a young man who was very polite and accommodating and also a young girl who was also very polite and smiley and also efficient at keeping on top of clearing the tables and there was another girl cooking in the kitchen, so seemed well staffed. Food was very nice and great facilities for my children. Will visit again.

Popped into this place as I heard it was good for kids, it certainly is, they have loads of toys for kids to play with which is probably just as well, it took over 40 minutes just to get our drinks with food taking 50 minutes. Seriously there were three staff and about 5 tables I could see, I honestly don't understand what took so long for a bacon sandwich, a gingerbread man and a chocolate milkshake. Nice place but slow service let themselves down, no real apology either. I'm never quite sure about carpets in a cafe either, they looked a little but grubby.

Looked lovely from outside ,had a special board up with roast lamb or Chicken advertised for £4.95 with puddings offered for a pound from 12pm . Went in they didn't have any roasts left so I asked what else on special ,pasty and chips for same price so ordered that . As I has looked behind counter and seen salary stuff like ham just sat on a trolley not in a fridge so thought pasty and chips safer . It came the chips where horrible, greasy frozen fried chips , with loads of small greasy bits you couldn't eat . Pasty was OK but that was it no garnishes . The cafe looked popular with the locals ,there seemed to be a knitting club in there but I was very disappointed with the food

Very plain and lacking any sophistication, but the food is just fab and it s very inexpensiveWeve been several times. The Everest and Base Camp curries and sweet and sour curry are just splendid and the Naans super.

Two nights spent in Topsham having dined in the Globe restaurant. The food was delicious, all home cooked and presented very well. Great portion sizes! All staff very very friendly and attentive. Great little bistro pub for the foodies!
