I was in two minds on whether to review The Cuppa Cabin. On the one hand it is a very unique place that serves great coffee and cakes and yet on the other Im worried it will get super popular as more and more people visit this wonderful place and it will get much harder to find a parking space!! This is literally 5 mins away from me and yet amazingly this was my first visit. I had looked at the place as I had driven past numerous times and thought it looked just like some sheds in a car park. How wrong I was, it is like a mini theme park when you get there, a collection of cabins with an eclectic mix of antique furniture, books galore and oddities, like a cross between an amazing junk shop, an old book store and Enid Blytons secret garden. I half expected to come across some pixies flying around. Anyway great coffee, lovely cheery lady and tasty cakes (pastries and other savouries are also available) what more could you ask for ?

Let's be honest here, Winslade is a treat for most , however it's normally well worth it in my opinion. Staff are excellent, very helpful and always happy to assist with any questions. The tables are well set out creating a good atmosphere but keeping yours private. The food is normally 10/10 but on this occasion we did have an issue with one of the sharing platters. The Pork was undercooked and a little too much fat/ meat ratio plus the Duck wasn't brilliant, sorry to say it had the consistency and smell of having been deepfried. We didn't complain as the friends we were with didn't want to. Unfortunately this was a Christmas meal, so a bit of a one off, still given past experience we will return, but maybe not go for the sharing platter.

Probably the best hot chocolate you will ever drink! Nice food too. We had flat breads. Service though misses the mark. Very hard to get anybody’s attention. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins and took ages to arrive. Staff are very polite and friendly but maybe they just need more staff. Would recommend.

We went to darts farm for lunch today. Got sat down within five minutes of waiting in the queue, we were served quickly which was great. However, my lemonade came out after five minutes, then my friend’s fish and chips shortly after, and that was it for about 10 or so minutes. The smoothie finally came out, and they apologised, then realised the pizza wasn’t here yet. It was another 10 minutes before they came back saying your pizza will be 15 minutes, it was just 15 minutes in the end. I don’t mind having to wait for food because it was obviously just, but when my friend had finished eating (it was getting cold waiting so she ate it), mine had just come out. Bring the food out together if it’s going to take that long. I don’t know if the pizza was missed or forgotten about but it wasn’t great. The staff were incredibly apologetic and the food was nice, but it just made it less enjoyable.

Had been meaning to visit for ages as heard good things, but was a disappointment. Emailed in advance to check vegetarian options and was sent a vegetarian menu, however most options on that menu were not available. Carvery meat, potatoes and yorkshires were decent, but the veg was overcooked and lukewarm. Cauliflower cheese could only be described as congealed. Toddler had a great time because the veg was so overcooked she barely needed to chew so could get back to playing in the soft play quickly! Family room was an uninspiring place to eat and currently accessed via the toilet corridor was wasn't overly clean - the main bit of the pub did look like a nice place to sit and eat though, but not nice enough to make up for the food unfortunately.

We visited the cafe near the food hall, the one that sells cakes and coffee etc. Two of our party of four ordered the scone with jam and clotted cream. The one scone provided was unbelievably small and was lost on the side plate, it would have been small if served on a saucer! The selection of foods for sale in the food hall at Dart's farm is huge why then are the "homemade" scones so pathetic, they should and could be so much better. Very disappointed at the food offerings and the service was poor due to the staff flirting and talking when they should have been serving and working. Supervision is needed and the scone supplier needs changing.

Had Posh Nosh buffet at a wedding I attended and it was excellent. Plenty of food served buffest style for a more relaxed wedding meal. Food was very fresh with local ingredients and suited every dietary requirement and preference. canapé's before were excellent as well and served very elegantly. the leftovers were also brought out later on in the evening to avoid food waste and provided a good evening snack. cooked fresh on the premise as well with the team working hard throughout the whole day. Highly recommend (can only speak as a guest though).
