What a great place for coffee. Interesting huts to sit in with old books and historical items. Each hut has a different character. I felt inspired to collect more quirky items of vintage interest. Coffee was good too.

Party of 6 of us went to Winslade to celebrate my friends birthday, first off I must say we had a great evening. Few little things my starter of poached egg on black pudding was very nice.. it did have bacon on the top which was not mentioned, my wife had the squid with aoili which was very much like butter (maybe that's there take on it), my fish coarse of sea bass was delicious, mains I had Duck with honey & 5 spice sauce..cooked perfectly, I ordered a side of potatoes rosti which arrived they were very similar to chunky chips, luke warm and very crunchy with a drizzle of truffle mayo (I should of sent them back, big didn't my bad) , wifey had the salmon fishcake topped with a soft boiled egg which she thoroughly enjoyed, one of our party had plaice which he loved, two others had the chicken breast which was good. The desserts were beautiful. I feel the dinning room lacks a bit of atmosphere in my opinion, in saying that the interior is very tasteful, the service was good, to sum up lots of good positive points but a few not so good which is why I gave the experience 4 instead of 5 stars.

Probably the best hot chocolate you will ever drink! Nice food too. We had flat breads. Service though misses the mark. Very hard to get anybody’s attention. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins and took ages to arrive. Staff are very polite and friendly but maybe they just need more staff. Would recommend.

We have stayed in this hotel and had an evening meal. Firstly the room, very nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed. I slept like a baby. The only constructive criticism I would have is to replace the seal in the shower or clean it deeply. And the meal was amazing. Delicious and presented well. As a vegetarian I ordered camembert fritters and they were crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Very nicely spiced. And for the main I had an aubergine gratin and it was to die for. Really yummy. The only feedback I would have is my watercress with fritters didn't look fresh and it wasn't vital to the meal. I would just serve it without. My husband had sticky chicken for a starter and burger for main and he was happy with everything. But to be honest for the price we paid it was a great meal. And the menu states calories for each dish, which I thought it was amazing.

Used to visited the cat & fiddle once a month in the late 80s, early 90s with friends from our American car club. We had a reunion and although u der different ownership, the cat & fiddle is still a friendly, comfortable pub/restaurant to visit. The staff are friendly and chatty, and the food is very good. The only strange thing we noticed was last orders at 9.30, as they close at 10pm. They don't get much/any business late in the evenings, so they close earlier than many other places. Still, it's a great place for a pint and a meal.

The menu made what was quite average food on arrival sound amazing- it really wasn’t worth the money! Kind of a champagne price and the food that was served was more Prosecco I’d say. Staff were pleasant, we had a £10 off £40 voucher which would not go through their till, so a bit disappointing really as we spent over £90!

This was our first visit to The Farm Table and it won't be the last, from the moment we were seated until leaving, the service was superb, a special shout out goes to Cal and his young counterpart (Sorry didn't get his name) for doing such a great job, both a credit to the team. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed all 3 courses with a lovely bottle of wine. It's a lovely atmosphere at certainly a venue to dress up smart and enjoy the evening. Extra effort made for birthday, even to attention to notes on booking and washing my partner happy birthday as shown to the table.

We were shown to our table by a lovely waitress, Eight minutes later we were served, Ten minutes later we get our drinks, Thirty minutes later we finally get our food, I ordered a toasted sandwich which to be honest was so flat it really wasn’t very nice, A handful of crisp and a flat limp selection of various chopped up salad leaves with half a cherry tomato and not even one slice of cucumber chopped up, My husband ordered the cream tea, It finally came out after my sandwich but the scone was hot, Who ever serves a hot scone for a cream tea, I reckon it was probably either microwaved from frozen or to freshen it up, But either way you don’t put cold clotted cream and jam onto a hot steaming scone, My husband refused it and sent it back (I didn’t blame him it was awful).
