Probably the best hot chocolate you will ever drink! Nice food too. We had flat breads. Service though misses the mark. Very hard to get anybody’s attention. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins and took ages to arrive. Staff are very polite and friendly but maybe they just need more staff. Would recommend.

Stopped in at Darts farm for the first time today. OMG! WHAT a place, so good! I decided to grab a coffee and quick bite. Found my way to the cafe and got seated. Just missed lunch but that was ok, I ordered a coffee and bruschetta. I admit, I'm a fussy coffee drinker, but it was bang on. And the food was simple but delicious. Just what I wanted. 100% very good food. The service? Well, it was ok. Polite and sincere, but it seemed to take an age to get anyone's attention. 4 or 5 staff but really hard to get their attention. I was looking about and making it fairly obvious I wanted to order. Felt like everyone thought I was being seen by someone else. Please take a positive comment. Just think being a little more open to seeing what people needed would help. Can't say how great the food was and I will definitely be back when I have more time to eat and relax! What a great place! Thanks

Called in for breakfast before travelling home from holiday. Eggs in the oven with homemade sourdough toast was delicious. Proper tea, made with leaves, not a bag. Service good, despite the cafe being very busy. Would love to visit again!

I wanted to buy a chocolate Christmas tree but were sold out. The chocolatier couldn’t have been more helpful, said they’d make some more and one would be put aside for me to be picked up at my convenience, which it was. Thank You. It was also a great success as a gift.

Lovely meal on a Saturday in November. A warm dry space out of the cold. On the first floor looking down on the main street, good for people watching. We had fish and chips, freshly cooked, katsu curry and the special of monkfish in a lobster sauce, all delicious. One bailies cheesecake. Recommend a visit. Patient service

Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!

We had to try the new Sunday lunch menu and we were not disappointed. Roast beef served with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cheesy leeks and a proper Yorkshire - not one of those rock hard crispy things restaurants often serve. Followed up with the best freshly cooked Blueberry Bakewell and cream. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks very much
