We went to darts farm for lunch today. Got sat down within five minutes of waiting in the queue, we were served quickly which was great. However, my lemonade came out after five minutes, then my friend’s fish and chips shortly after, and that was it for about 10 or so minutes. The smoothie finally came out, and they apologised, then realised the pizza wasn’t here yet. It was another 10 minutes before they came back saying your pizza will be 15 minutes, it was just 15 minutes in the end. I don’t mind having to wait for food because it was obviously just, but when my friend had finished eating (it was getting cold waiting so she ate it), mine had just come out. Bring the food out together if it’s going to take that long. I don’t know if the pizza was missed or forgotten about but it wasn’t great. The staff were incredibly apologetic and the food was nice, but it just made it less enjoyable.

I’ve just left this place after coming in to get a 2 pumpkins for my friends children but before we could go in to get the pumpkin we were stopped by a woman asking if we had booked online said no and it was £3 each to get in and then however much more to get a pumpkin it’s pointless just go to a supermarket it will be much cheaper absolutely disgusting it was free last year for entry.

Visited on Wednesday 16th Oct. Busy but not overly so. We found the staff attitudes sullen. No cheerful greeting. My husband’s tea cafetière would not pour. Two others were fine, on inspection the filter had been put in upside down, but too hot to do this ourselves- server took it from us ( as if we were making a fuss) saw her alter it, then just placed it heavily on the table, no apology or explanation or even a smile. Just an unwelcoming unhappy environment to be spending time in. Will be looking for alternative places to visit for a ‘treat’ as this was not one!

Great farm shop selling fresh produce, deli products with lots of other retail therapy opportunities. It also houses an excellent Cotswold Outdoor shop and has several eating options, including a fairly high end restaurant. As a bonus it also has a bank of Tesla Superchargers

What a great place to visit. If you've visited Gloucester services on the M5, it's like that but larger and cheaper. If shopping doesn't float your boat there are walks through their nature reserve. Cotswold Outdoor have one of their largest outlets in the country, RSPB are there, Fired Earth, 3, I think eateries, a large farm shop which should be able to supply food for all tastes. The cheese deli and butchers counter leave little to be desired. There literally is too much at Darts Farm to remember with one visit, we will be back. Thanks.

Called in on Wednesday 25th and purchased a few items. When I got home (4 hour journey) I realised that salted caramel beads were out of date! Telephoned first thing the following morning and asked to ring back after 12pm because no one was in to assist the call. Telephoned back in the afternoon again no one able to assist me but did have a phone call back. Explained my situation but nothing they could do because I was not given a receipt at the till. I did explain I had another receipt to prove I had been there yesterday. I think this could have been handled better especially if they checked the items on the shop floor to confirm the products were in fact out of date. Plus they were at fault for selling out of date items. They said I could have a voucher to the value, but I live 4 hours away. £6.99 lost! Please check the dates on your purchases if they are not doing the job they are suppose to be doing.

Disappointing to say the least. Not as dog friendly as the website reads. Preferred the menu in the yard rather than Cacoa &Co and the courtyard looked inviting enough. How wrong! Dogs are not allowed through the main building to get to the court yard. There are no signs so after asking 3 members of staff and being rudely spoken to by a member of staff (Martin) because we had actually been shown by a member of staff into the building, we were lead round a kind of delivery route (see photos), past rubbish bins, mop buckets, hose pipes etc into the court yard. There was no mapped route, which cannot be H&S compliant with vehicles using the same route. Matters were made worse with stained China, cold toast and luke warm beans served in a chipped ramekin. We just wanted to get out of there in the end but I wish we’d challenged the bill tbh.

We visited the Yard Restaurant for lunch Monday 19 aug between 1-2pm. Had a 15 minute wait, which was no problem and then seated on the sofas. Ordered latte and breakfast tea with lunch. Drinks arrived and my tea looked a bit weak when I poured it and tasted very odd. Smelt the teapot and it was strongly minty! Tried to catch someone’s eye but eventually my husband took it up to the drinks servery. Handed it over and said we ordered breakfast tea and this is mint. Response was “no, that’s breakfast tea”, husband “can you smell it please”, she smelt it, put it down, turned round, made another pot and put it on the counter, no further words spoken. Husband helped himself to a new cup. Now my expectations are not high but an acknowledgment of a mistake, an apology and offer of new cup feels like the minimum. Not expecting and didn’t get any sort of smile or sorry. It wasnt the young man or lady with very dark hair. Tarnished an expensive visit to the farm shop

Surprised to find it not very child friendly, specifically for young children. High chairs and children seats, but no children’s menu in the cafe or suitable drinks on offer, nor snacks particularly suitable for young children to take outside to picnic. Not enough seating in the restaurant for the amount of people, so queueing back into the shop. Also agree with all the comments on food, everything looks lovely, and everything we ate tasted great but it is wildly overpriced for undersized portions. Wouldn’t visit again with children, little or big, just didn't really seem like a place for them.

Darts Farm is an incredible place to explore, both indoors and outdoors! We loved wandering through the huge outdoor cornfield and visiting the cow and sheep farm before heading inside. The indoor farm store is equally impressive, with an extensive variety of food, vegetables, fruits, sauces, and wines. Pebblebed Vineyard has a fantastic wine tasting booth right at the entrance, offering delicious rosé, white, and red wines, with a great sale at £10. It’s perfect for those who like to try before they buy. We also had a delightful brunch at the COW & CACAO CAFÉ. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!

Visited the food hall today. Everything looked good, but pricey. At the Deli counter my husband saw a steak, ale and Stilton pie which is his favourite, so I bought him one. Buyers beware the price on the ticket is NOT what you pay. They WEIGH IT and its charged by the weight. Over £6 for a pie for one. My husband was looking forward to having it for his tea. Reheated in oven and it did smell nice, but what a shock when my husband cut it open to find carrots in it. No where on the food label in store did it stay anything about carrots. My husband has a severe allergy to carrots, so lucky he cut it and looked inside, otherwise we'd be in A&E by now. We will never be coming here again. Cost was too high and it could have caused my husband serious health issues. You need to be clear on the contents of your goods. Who expects carrots in a steak, ale and Stilton pie?

This is purely a review of the bike hire (the farm shop remains as splendid as ever). We hired a tandem for a day out on the Exe Cycle trail. The first tandem's allen key was so rusty that neither we, nor the Darts Farm team member in charge of bike hire, could get the seat to stay in the right place (we cycled off twice but had to return after only making it 5 minutes down the road because the seat slipped). The second tandem could only be ridden in a couple of gears because the chain kept sticking. I noticed this problem with the chain when using the same tandem hire a couple of years ago. Wow Darts, with all of the money you clearly make, and pricing bike hire between £35-£45, you can't be bothered to maintain your bikes? Super disappointed that you have buried your heads in the sand with this!

Very well stocked farm shop selling local produce. The clothing section was really over priced. My breakfast was meh... Baked in a skillet and succeed in it. The food was piping hot. Mainly home made baked beans, two small rashers of bacon and a bit of black pudding crumbled over the top. The egg looked as if it had been baked with all the other ingredients so was rock hard and had a tough skin over it. Not at all what I'd expected. Also very expensive for what you get. Decided to visit as we were passing. Found everything very overpriced! The service in the restaurant was very slow. They want you to use a QR code to order but there’s no signal and you can’t connect to the WiFi. My wife and I ordered mains however my wife’s main course came out 20 minutes before mine, to the point I had to grab the attention of the waitress to ask where it was. When it turned up, it was cold but was too hungry to turn it away. Wanted to order a side portion of chips but told we couldn’t even though they were serving burger and chips! No children’s menu, forcing you to order an adults portion for an extreme cost. The toilets are located away from the restaurant. The restaurant feels like you are pushed into a corner and bunched together. Poor layout, poor service and overpriced.

Great deli counter but, appalling loos. As a disabled visitor we share the parent and child cubicle. This is standard practice. Never have I been where this lavatory is clean. It really could do with an update however, it smells, the floor is habitually wet, it’s more often than not littered with lavatory paper whilst the hand drier is ineffectual. And it is far too small to accommodate a double buggy/large power chair. A thorough clean and regular daily checks would be a good place to start.

Full of people standing where other people need to go and they won’t get out of the way (obviously feel like they don’t need to). The shop is full of overpriced glorified brands that always taste much worse than brands you can find in a regular shop like Tesco, and Darts Farm meat and veg, which is also overpriced. The service in the café is awful, the young girl who was serving and clearing tables looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there and was so slow. Not all of our order came out and after 15mins when I asked where it was the girl I spoke to said sometimes the order doesn't come through on the ticket. It worked fine to charge me for it though so I asked for a refund and maybe they need to get a machine that works properly. The lady working behind the counter making the waffles and desserts was in a world of her own and so so slow which is why my son didn't want to wait for her to make him one. Regarding food hygiene why was she also allowed to prepare food with bright red nail varnish on and no gloves to cover it, that's a big no when dealing with food in this environment I don't want to be finding flakes of nail varnish in my food. The staff in the cafe definitely need a bit of a shake up because it really wasn't good

The focaccia was very dry and the shriveled mushrooms were tasteless. There was no dressing on the salad and it was not worth the £9 charged. Service was okay, yet a bit hap hazard as the staff seemed inexperienced or not interested in being attentive to their customers, but were pleasant. We were offered a 15% discount for the disappointing meal.
