Excellent authentic and delicious food. Very simple restaurant but wonderful service and food superceded our expectations.

This is our third visit and we will certainly be coming back again. Very clean, nice furnishings and decorations. Staff are very pleasant and provide excellent service. Food is great, large portions and we always take some home for tomorrow’s dinner, as there is too much. Highly recommended

Sunday night and everywhere was shut - even those who Google said was open! Walked the length of the beach, up and over, then found this gem right by the Premier Inn that we were staying at! A warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, friendly and informative staff. What a banquet arrived at our table! Soft, lush naan's; crispy, irresistible bahjees and the most delicious, moist, flavoursome chicken I have ever tasted! Full marks guys! We'll be back! (Take your own alcohol they don't have a licence. But don't take soft drinks)...

We had a weekend break in Seaton, meeting family at a midway point. After a good walk, we searched for somewhere to eat on the Sunday evening. We found the Monsoon Restaurant and enjoyed a really tasty meal at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered a takeaway for a funeral wake and it was one of the best takeaways I’ve had (I’ve had many!!)Everyone loved the food and all the curries were first class. Really tasty and well spiced. Lovely service and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!!

I had the Captain's Patila and it was superb. Juicy without being runny or swimming in in oil, the lamb was tender and lean. I jogged in at just gone 8pm and had my meal ready in under 15 minutes. The staff were polite and friendly and the price was very good.

I'm working here for 6 months and everywhere I go. I always try all the takeaways in the area, and this one is my favourite in Seaton. The food tastes excellent, priced accordingly, and I've never had issues. I always collect my food, but inside it's always clean with a nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. I've seen signs saying that you can bring your own alcohol which would be a bonus for a lot of people. If you're visiting Seaton, then I would 100% recommend coming here :)

The takeaway service is excellent quality food, always delivered hot, the best tasting Indian food I have eaten. Excellent service too.

We waited 90 mins for a takeaway order. We chased it up and they told us to wait longer. An hour later we called again and they explained they had lost the order. Might be a one off as I've not used them before.

We had a good meal here & it's great when you can bring your own alcohol. They very kindly let us bring our dog in the restaurant which was a first for us (in an Indian). I think they'll let dogs in if they're not too busy & the dog is calm. Thanks very much folks

Brilliant food and such a good find in the area. Staff are great and very attentive. Waiter who is originally from Bristol was lovely, and provided a top quality service.

A takeaway whilst staying in nearby Beer. An excellent recommendation. Good quality ingredients, tender lamb in the spicy and delicious Lal Mass Lamb. The Purple Tiger, again good quality tiger prawns and aubergine dish. Be aware that the restaurant for eating in is also a corkage free BYO. What more could you wish for? 🇬🇧🇳🇿

The food was absolutely delicious, good quality and had an amazing depth of flavour. The staff were patient and attentive. We took our own wine that we bought from Aldi which was a 2 minute walk from the restaurant.

Went for date night and food was lovely staff great and man in charge was great very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be going back on our next visit to the in-laws.

Excellent takeaway from here last night. Ordered on line all worked well, food very tasty warm even after a 20 min drive home & reasonably priced. Not eaten in restaurant yet but will do, it’s a BYO for reference but there’s a Tesco and soon to open Aldi 3 min walk away.

Waited 40 minutes for our takeaway on Thursday. What a let down. The meal for two was rubbish. The samosas had obviously came from a freezer, as the centre was still frozen! The chicken dish just tasted of vinegar. The lamb dish was better, but tasteless. A waste of £31..... Some reviewers obviously have low to expectations

Great tasting food, not too long of a wait considering how busy it was and on a Sunday.

Best to book ahead online as got busy. Main was good, desserts were a bit frozen for a mousse but tasted nice. Just watch the cost of the poppadoms when asked it it is about £1.50 / poppadom.

We visited Monsoon whilst on holiday. The restaurant was a third full, meaning it was on the quiet side in terms of ambience. The food was lovely and were decent portions. The service was friendly and attentive. My gripes? Firstly, I asked for a Ginger Ale and I clearly got a Lemonade with Ginger cordial. Bit disappointed. Secondly, The price was a bit more than we would normally pay in Hampshire, even in these days of post-COVID, post-Brexit, etc.

Table for two book tonight. What can I say we had a starter to share and the taste and Flavours were on point. Then the mains came out and that was it. Completely fresh and very tasty Indian food. You know when you had a good meal when you can actually finish your dish and still want more thank you 👌

Never had a bad meal here. It's our 'go to' place for indian food (either eat-in or takeaway) and, as far as i'm aware, is the only local restaurant to offer delivery (which is always by friendly drivers).

Attended on Saturday night our friends have been before, lovely meal all all reasonable prices once again we ordered too much as the portions are generous. Only downside they haven’t got a licence so bring your own apart from that wonderful.

Truly excellent Indian food with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We are very sensitive to hot food and all too often Indian restaurants don't accommodate our need for absence of heat very well. Monsoon was an exception . Every dish we had was delicious and just to our liking. Would highly recommend for both dining in and takeout!

Horrible, waiter shouted infront of customers at another waiter, who was working really hard because he'd not answered the phone. On leaving he tried to justify it because they were busy, it was horrible to witness and definitely won't be returning.

Came here for a 80th birthday party on a Saturday we had the whole restaurant the curry was excellent I had the chicken sag which was super the service was great they had a lot of people to serve and it all went very well....

We had a large group at the Monsoon with 18 individuals. Thanks for a great and varied meals that was served very quickly and everything was piping hot. What a great meal.

They managed to accommodate a group of eight of us at the last minute. Great food and service all round, and although unlicensed we were able to bring our own drinks. Reasonable prices as well.

Disgusting! We ordered two different disses, one hot and one mild but they both had the same sauce? £50 spent in total for a vile cold takeaway. Please do not order from here as it’s an Indian restaurant by name but the food clearly circumvents...

We ended up in monsoon mid-week having not booked. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The food was clearly freshly cooked and very tasty. The bill was also particularly reasonable. I would absolutely recommend.

Do not like leaving bad reviews but difficult to find any thing positive about our visit to this restaurant. Very poor service. Food was mediocre and service poor thought the visit. Nothing positive to say.

When quiet, this is a good place to eat. If busy, you might get someone else's order! Nevertheless, the food is good and prices fair. Do take your own alcoholic beverage but soft drinks are available.

Take away was cold and I have to microwave to get hot, considering I was only approximately five mins away this should not happen and it’s not the first time Also my mushroom starter was swimming in oil not nice. The time before they missed...

Had a delivery which arrived quickly and hot and driver was very polite and friendly hence the two stars but the food was awful my young daughters chicken korma tasted weird like no other korma I have tasted it was more green than the lovely creamy yellow korma we have had from other Indians And the chicken tikka masala was like eating spicy tomato purée, and the naan bread was so tough it was like trying to eat chewy cardboard Never again for us sadly, I would avoid

Food was amazing but the service was strange to say the least. The server seemed to be really angry about something and it made us feel very uncomfortable from beginning to end. We made a quick exit immediately after finishing our food, just paid the bill while my wife waited outside. Food was outstanding though so it is a shame.

Lovely, friendly restaurant with a great menu. We really enjoyed our curries which were adapted to suit our tastes. The garlic naan is one of the best I have ever had. The added attractions here are the friendly hosts and that you can bring your own wine!

Booked a takeaway delivery tonight after a recommendation from a friend. Delivery was confirmed at 7.30pm. At 7.50pm we chased to be told it was out for delivery….we are 5mins drive from the restaurant. 20 minutes later we got a call from Monsoon to say that the driver had been delayed but was now back on track. 5 minutes later the poor chap arrived having raced straight from the restaurant with our food….he confirmed that it hadn’t been out for delivery but sitting on the side in their kitchen…who knows how long for. Guess we shouldn’t have been surprised that when it arrived it wasn’t hot and needed a zap in the microwave to heat it up. Lots of apologies from Monsoon about being busy but why confirm a delivery time they can’t meet and then why lie about the status. Food was okay but difficult to enjoy after such a poor service experience!

The food was absolutely lovely, with some interesting dishes in addition to the "normal"Indian menu. The staff were fantastic and friendly, even though they were obviously rushed off their feet.

Just had a delivery from here and it’s got to be the best vegetarian dupiaza I’ve ever eaten! Such a mixture of vegetables! There was potato, broccoli, carrot, mushroom, green beans, onion, courgette, cabbage, baby corn. Probably more but that what I can think of on the top of my head! The onion bhajis were perfectly cooked, mushroom rice flavourful. The only thing I would fault was is the garlic nan bread as it was still quite dough like but I finished off in the oven and it was absolutely fine! I will be ordering again when I’m next here for a holiday! What a treat!

We had a good meal here with prompt friendly service. Food was plentiful & served on hot plates.It’s only a small restaurant & tables are quiet close together.They only just managed to find a table space for us so I would advise that you prebook to guarantee a table.It doesn’t serve alcohol although you can bring in your own, soft drinks are served.

After a long day out we hadn’t planned or booked anywhere to eat. We was unsure if they would have a table available for four people but we gave it a try and are so glad we did. They were very friendly and were quick to take our food order, they only sell soft drinks but you are welcome to take alcohol. Obviously we didn’t know this but see others doing so. Food was hot, portions were generous and very tasty. Only thing I’d say was service was slow at the end, normally for an adults only meal wouldn’t be a problem but two 11 year olds were getting fidgety. They gave us containers to tub up what we couldn’t finish which was lovely. Really great evening

During our recent visit to Seaton we were so pleased to have been recommended a meal at Monsoon. It was very welcoming, friendly and very delicious food! We will be sure to return again before heading home, and will look forward to returning again when next in the area.

We love coming here , the food is always delicious and the staff are welcoming . I do tend to have Chicken Jalfrezi most times but it is so good why not.

Just received a food delivery from Monsoon at our campsite and we were blown away. Amazing quality food which tasted beautiful and we would highly recommend it. Order to delivery took no time and it was hot and delicious.

We were passing by as they opened 5pm Sunday and went in and ordered. 20mins later we had a chicken tamarind curry and a chicken bhuna. These were both tasty nicely cooked spicy but not too hot. The pilau rice and garlic nan were good too. Reasonable prices and two free poppadoms.
