This is my second time here this year. Amazing food. One my favourite restaurants so far in exmouth. Friendly atmosphere and a great service

Ordered take away delivery that arrived 45 minutes later than agreed. Food tasted good but rogan Josh lamb had very little lamb in it considering it cost £11.95 it was a disappointment. It cam delivered cold too so after our long wait I am not very impressed as the meal fir 4 cost over £70. 😔

Beautiful fresh food. Exquisite taste and quality. Such friendly attentive polite staff. Thoroughly impressed with a beautiful meal, and can’t recommend highly enough. Very reasonably priced also.

First visit, Lovely atmosphere very pleasant staff. Food and service was fantastic we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. We usually visited outhouse during the summer so will be back.

SO good. Had the mixed platter with Sag Aloo. Got caught out last time by the Green chillies in the Korai but the platter was just perfect for me. Cool vibe with the blues music playing. Well worth a visit

The nicest Asian food I've ever tasted. Shame we are on holiday because I would be here every weekend . Friendly efficient service and beautiful taste. Thoroughly recommend. Returned yesterday evening, still really good.

Amazing food and service. The food is prepared using fresh ingredients and is beautifully served. A variety of flavours and spices with your choices. My only regret is I didn't take photos to post. The restaurant decor is pleasant and stands for what it is Nepalese. Very comfortable, relaxing environment. Very attentive waiters. First time for me having Nepalese food and I loved it. Daal and lamb dishes were delicious.

Great food We weren't planning on Namaste but glad we changed to come here. The food was lovely. A fab little place off the beaten track. Had serious FOMO with some of our friends dishes so will definitely be going again

Always amazing food, I never going anywhere else for curry. Always on time whether pick up or delivery. I also used to work with these guys a few years ago and they’re so friendly and accommodating. The vibes in the restaurant are also relaxed and nothing is too much effort for Sujan and the rest of the staff. Highly recommend ☺️

Everything was perfect the food was very authentic fresh and delicious and served by very friendly and attentive staff If we are in the area again we will 100% return I would recommend booking as we went on a Tues night and it was very busy. Thank you again highly recommend

This was my first time of ordering a takeaway from Namaste in Exmouth. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. We were all impressed with the authenticity of the dishes. We will definitely be ordering again!

Absolutely lovely, tasty food. It’s a Nepalese restaurant, but also offers dishes you find in a regular curry place. The Nepalese lamb Khasi Ko Masu main was delicious and so too was the Himalayan Mixed Vegetable Curry main. Great, friendly service in a modern setting. Totally recommend this place.

I’ve been looking forward to try the Delhi style tiger prawns from Namaste himalaya after hearing good things about it and was so glad that i did! The food was so delicious and the service was amazing too. The restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere from the moment you walk in, you feel welcome by the staff. The warm lighting, seating and the music makes it an ideal place for a relaxed meal. cannot recommend more!!

Delicious food and such a cosy atmosphere, we really enjoyed our visit here. Our only gripe was the 12.5% service charge automatically added on your bill! I understand there is a minimum expected but this seemed a little unfair ! We always like to tip but not forced into the amount we have to.

We arrived half an hour early. The staff were most welcoming and had us seated straight away. The service was fantastic, great atmosphere within the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. Good value for money.

We’ve dined at many Nepalese restaurants across the country, including in London, but this one stands out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced. The food was exceptional and authentically captured the true flavors of Nepal. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The in-house red wine was outstanding—definitely a must try. We never expected to find such a hidden gem in this corner of Devon! Overall, it’s a 10/10 dining experience.

It made a nice change to have a smaller and more intimate menu (just like the atmosphere). The food was plentiful and uniquely flavoured. The owner was to the point, funny and caring. The music lifted and made me want to dance in between housefuls. I was also given a special gift to remember it by. A little gem of a place. Thank you !!!

Didn't like the place, the staff were like bouncers, almost aggressive, service was speedy and the food was hot and looked good, but not a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy it. We were a large group 25 plus paid cash and a nice tip, but at 11 o'clock as we were finishing we were told to leave as the wanted to close at 11, and the big body builder guy stood at the end of the table to make sure we were off... Not even given a polite hint to finish our drinks. Needs to improve, not for me

Simply loved the food here, as well as the service. Great vegetarian options indeed (probably what I had was vegan too). The additional cauliflower was superb. If I lived closed by I would definitely be a frequent customer. Thank you!

Wow, just eaten here and it is an absolute gem of restaurant. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. The food was something else, lamb madras hot and spicy, perfect portion size and succulent lamb. Would like to see a branch in Northampton as one of the best indian/asian meals I have ever had.

This is, I have to say, the most incredible restaurant I have ever been to. The service is incredible, the food is the best I have ever tasted, especially the honey sesame crispy chicken, and the people there are so lovely, such a genuine place with amazing food. Would 100% recommend for any event or casual.

Nice welcome from what we believe to be manager. Waiter after that became more surly as evening went on. Rather surprised at service charge automatically included in bill. No mention this would be the case. When questioned waiter became defensive and we just paid and left. Would not return shame as food was nice.

I do not like writing bad reviews however, tonight was the most abysmal Indian I think I've ever had. A tasteless meal, I ordered a Chicken Dansak not a four pieces of Chicken & 100 chickpea Dansak. I was hoping the saving grace would be some sides again, burn onion budgies, a garlic Naam that didn't taste like it had garlic on it and poppadoms that were more rubber then a Basketball. I see you have fantastic reviews otherwise, hopefully an off night, but all customers should be respected.

I'm not sure if we've been spoilt by our local Indian restaurant but after seeing the reviews thought we must try this place. Unfortunately we were left extremely disappointed. Poppadoms and chutney tray a good start, starters also impressed. Unfortunately when it came to the main extremely underwhelmed, curry sauces very soup like and tasteless. Also didn't like the mandatory service charge for a service that did not deliver, asked for recommendations and were basically brushed off. Had very high hopes and left very disappointed with a hundred pound bill.

The restaurant was very busy considering it was a Sunday night which is allways a good sign . The food was realy nice as allways and friendly several.

Went tonight with family and friends, food was amazing! We had lamb curry, butter chicken, prawns, rice and naan bread. So delicious! The ice cream was so creamy. Would advise highly to pay a visit plus the front of house staff couldn't be more polite and helpful. Thank you for a great evening.

Today I visited the Namaste restaurant with my family and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. Fantastic and very cheerful service, the food is wonderful, beautifully presented, everything is hot, you didn't have to wait long. Everything at a high level with blues music. Thank you very much to everyone at Namaste.

First time here and very impressed with the food range and quality, the fast service and the portion sizes. Definitely will be back to try some more of the menu.

Can honestly say this is THE best Himalayan restaurant I've eaten in. Try the Momo's!

So glad we booked! The most delicious food and helpful, friendly service despite being run off their feet. My son is a proper fan and wants to come back - pretty good for someone who had 'gone off curry' before this evening!

An authentic Indian & Nepali restaurant in the centre of Exmouth. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The momos in particular were very nice. Highly recommend!

The owner greeted us warmly as we entered and asked us if we had booked. This place was busy even at 18:00. Sadly no tables available unless we could eat in 45mins? I liked his challenge "my job is to cook quick, your job is to eat quick". Challenge accepted, we had a round of poppadoms, chicken momo (steamed not fried- chefs recommendation), then the namaste himalaya mixed platter, khasi ko mashu-lamb, sag aloo(extra garlic) himalayan mixed veg curry & two naans. Food arrived promptly as promised and was delicious. Mouth watering sizzling plate of lamb chicken prawn on a bed of onions. The mashu had that lovely zing from the sichuan pepper without being overly hot or over powered. All of that amazing food... and I probably would still say the best bit was the first bite of momo.. can't beat a well made momo in my book, and these were excellent 😍 Highly recommended restaurant, just missed personally thanking the chef/owner for being so accommodating!

Had a takeaway from here delivered to Devon Cliffs hoilday park. You have to meet the delivery driver at the security gate as they can't come onto the park. Takeaway arrived on time, and the lady who delivered couldn't have been more friendly. The food was fantastic, we had a chicken 65 starter, i think it's called, Railway Lamb curry and a Butter Chicken for mains, and both were beautiful. Would highly recommend.

The food from Namaste Himalaya was outstanding. We all absolutely loved it. I collected a takeaway order so didn't eat at the restaurant, but when I picked up the food the atmosphere and decor inside was really nice and the staff were lovely.

Visited this restaurant first time and the attitude of the restaurant owner was way too rude towards us. Not even smiling or welcoming. When we asked if we could sit upstairs as the smell coming out of the incense was too thick but the owner asked the reason why we want to sit upstairs. Doesn’t taste as Indian food as they name it. So sad that we wasted our time n money here where the owner doesn’t even know how to smile n welcome the customers.

On our final night in Exmouth we had probably the best curry we have ever had. Great service, and the dishes were fresh and flavorsome. Would recommend without hesitation.

Stayed in Exmouth for a couple of nights, it’s 225 miles from home and I am considering this as a monthly trip! Seriously this was an excellent meal with so many different flavours, coupled with really friendly people, and a reasonable price. Book now.

Ordered takeaway which arrived quickly, however despite asking for no coriander and for the dish to be extra hot, it was more coriander than anything and had very little flavour, very disappointing especially considering such good reviews. On the plus side, the naan was lovely.

Sanjev made our experience wonderful . The menu has some real hidden gems and he pointed out the ones he believed we would enjoy and he was spot on. Service was fantastic, and price was very reasonable. Will definitely come back. Beautiful meal.

This was the best curry I have ever had! From the minute the mixed poppadom basket and raita arrived I realised we were going to have a wonderful meal. How on Earth do you make cones from poppadoms? The raita was a taste sensation with all sorts of wonderful flavours exploding on my tongue. I ordered the chicken Biryani and a peshwari naan. My husband ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi with a garlic naan. My Biryani was superb. Digging under the perfectly cooked rice there were luscious chunks of chicken in a delicious sauce plus there was another sauce as well. The food was simply fantastic. The portions are generous and I couldn’t finish all mine. ( If I had been at home I would definitely have asked to take all the remaining food in a doggy bag but as we were staying in a hotel I didn’t .) My husband was similarly impressed.

Wow, what a wonderful place. The staff and food are amazing. It was just my husband and I and we were placed on a table for 4 as we had a wheelchair (there are steps to enter). They immediately offered help with this. Recommendation were FABULOUS. No rush, lovely service and outstanding food. We wished we lived locally as we would be regulars

I eat a lot of curries and this is one of the best I've ever been to. Outstanding food and reasonable prices. I had the king prawn Delhi style with egg fried rice plus a cheese naan and a chilli paneer starter. Cobra lager on draft too. Background music was original blues (Albert King etc). Overall, a great experience.

Zero effort. This place used to be brilliant. The two dips we got were literally two dips of bread worth which then tasted rancid. The rice was dry and a weird aftertaste. I'd put it out for the birds and foxes but don't want them to die.

Spent 40 quid and asked while ordering for a specific thing. It didn't come so i called back asking if we could have it and we pay driver 5ver extra and took another 45 mins to come two micro tubs containing a dribble of fluid in each. I asked for the dips and salad for the naans. When i called back wondering if it's a joke the phone guy moaned that he's on his own and too busy to get my order right. 45 quid down the drain and a lump of cold bread and rice to show for it. We can only afford this once a year it's so disappointing. I did not ask for free anything. Who would do that. I asked if you could make sure we get plenty while asking for all the dips in my order. You're clearly so busy you have time to reply to a review at 8pm while using my personal name violating privacy laws.

Always an amazing time with Sanjeev and co at Namaste Himalaya. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu, but the Nepali specialities are to die for. I have been coming here for almost 2 years now and have always left with a big smile and heavy tummy.

This is a really nice and super busy restaurant. We enjoyed some starters, and ordered two curries with some sides for our main. We had a veggie curry and a black dhal. Both were tasty, but unfortunately both dishes were much too spicy for us and we couldn’t eat a lot of it. We have been to Himalayan restaurants before and really enjoyed the food, and didn’t find it spicy. It was just a bit much for us which was a real shame. While there were plenty of gluten free options (e.g all the curries), there were no details on allergies on menu, so it meant I had to ask about what dishes I could have, which felt a bit awkward. It would be better if it was clear on the menu what was GF.

This was an excellent restaurant, food was delicious and service excellent. Never had Nepalese food before but was well informed as to the difference between Indian food and Nepalese food . We went for Nepalese food and was definitely not disappointed. Thank you for such a great experience

I had a few people recommend here. The staff where amazing polite. The drinks and food were served quickly. They only been opened for three years but they operate like they been opened for years. I had the kukhura Kos Mas which is the nepial disk with chicken . I made the choice to have it medium and it was very nice . I also had Nepail whiskey and it was very good . It was warm and smokey . I very much enjoyed eating here and will come again.

Another visit to this fabulous restaurant. A delicious meal (again) -lovely selection of Asian and speciality Nepalese food , cooked beautifully. Warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff - in relaxed cosy environment. Luckily we ate local so will be back ..... again!!

Food was very tasty but unfortunately arrived quite cold so had to all be reheated with exception of the naan bread. Very unusual from Namaste as our orders are normally perfect.

Always good food and service, the menu has been reduced a little but there is still too much choice. . .. but it doesn't really matter what you choose it's all good. . . Mo-Mos (like steamed dumplings) are must.

The excellent reviews for Namaste here are not wrong! We booked at the last minute yesterday and were not disappointed. We received a super welcome from the host, we had to wait a few minutes for our table but it was a busy Saturday and not a problem. We loved the Nepalese decor and chose mainly Nepalese dishes (although there are plenty of traditional Indian dishes on the menu too). The chutneys with the poppadoms are slightly different to standard Indian chutneys and totally delicious. We chose Nepalese lager beer and starters: lamb momos and chicken choila (I was warned this chicken dish was very hot but it was delicious and worth the temporary pain!). Our mains were delicious too. The service was second to none throughout the evening and the portions are very generous representing excellent value for money.This is a little gem of a restaurant, Exmouth is very lucky!

The restaurant is clean and well decorated. Excellent food and the service was quick efficient and the staff were extremely polite and friendly nothing was a problem. Highly recommended. We came down from Bristol and we were not disappointed. 🥰

Our family favourite for an evening eating out. They happily and skilfully adapt the recipes to suit. For us, this means adding chili, but not to crucify, but to add flavour. The manager endeavours to make the evening perfect with little anecdotes and tastes of home.

Really good food and they make it spicy according to your palette. Kheema rice is well flavored and wholesome to eat.

Lovely evening out with family for food... made to feel very welcome, you don't get rushed and food is decently priced plus tastes are out of this world!!

The food was very good and so was the service but I was presented with the bill even though I hadn’t asked for it, and I hadn’t been asked if I’d like dessert or coffee. I felt I was being told to go. Strange. 12.5% service charge added to bill.
