Fantastic Sunday lunch. Warm welcome very friendly. Delicious Sunday lunch and a very generous portion. Yummy pudding! Very accommodating for our toddler and dog. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely come again next time we’re in the area!

Nice restaurant with friendly staff and good value food. You can tell they put effort into their food. I feel bad saying this as I spend a lot of time in Italy so I have high expectations that are hard to meet in the UK, let alone a small Cornish village, but the pizza lacked flavour. They need to add salt, garlic and anchovies to their tomato pizza-sauce (assuming they make it themselves). The mozzarella tasted somewhat fake too. The whole experience reminded me of when I used to microwave cheese in a pitta bread as a kid, whilst nice it lacked flavour. I mean it’s not hard to make a tasty pizza. Even my mate Khalid makes a decent pizza from scratch.

This place runs out of items really quickly when busy and that was really disappointing. Several items on the menu weren't available when we went. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food to arrive and that was only after reminding staff we were still waiting. The view is breathtaking. The staff are lovely but we won't return as we can't be sure of what food will be available when we get there.

Notice in the window listed opening times for sandwiches and snacks as 8.30 a.m. onwards, Monday til Saturday. There was a list of fare including bacon and egg sandwiches, just what we wanted for breakfast. We got there at 9.30 and the place was closed with ko signs of life. Very disappointing.

A lovely cafe serving hot drinks (in vintage mugs) also pasties , sausage rolls and cakes with a spectacular view. There is no seating other than benches outside , but a lovely spot to buy supplies before heading down to the cove or heading on a walk! Friendly owners.

Lovely setting, very simple menu of about 3 different dishes. We had cheese ploughmans, which was 2 slices of bread and chunk of cheese, with few pickled onions in a bowl and little dish of pickle. Gallery upstairs has lovely views. Some interesting bit's for sale

Hurrah for gluten free!! So nice to find somewhere that, as a coeliac, I can have anything on the menu! I had a delicious cheese and vegetable pasty and my husband had the steak. We also took away 3 cakes. Just had a cherry gateau (delish) and looking forward to the other 2 later - hevra and black Forest gateau ☺️

Driving along the coast from Penzance to Newlyn was an absolute pleasure. It had been decades since my last visit, and it’s just as stunning as I remember—an ideal spot to savour some freshly battered fish. Parking was a bit limited near the chippy, but fortunately, a small public car park was just a couple of doors away. The shop itself was clean and well-kept, and the staff were polite and welcoming. I ordered the lemon pepper cod, fried in a dry, seasoned batter. The fillet was thick, fresh, and perfectly spiced. I also tried the regular battered cod, which was equally delicious with its light, crispy coating. The chips were thick, fairly crispy, and served in generous portions. Both the curry sauce and mushy peas were exactly as expected from a traditional fish and chip shop—simply spot on.
