The best restaurants in St Ives North Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Visited twice here with family. Gorgeous waffles with a variety of toppings - some of the best waffles I have had. Partner had an ice cream and he said it was delicious. Staff also very accommodating of my coeliac daughter - gluten free cones and a scoop of ice cream from a new tub to avoid cross contamination. The only place in St ives she was able to have an ice cream cone so really appreciated it.

Apologies for the delay in reviewing! Absolutely brilliant breakfast; delicious, fresh, served hot, fantastic staff and very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back next time we are in St. Ives

Poor quality sandwich, more bread than filling, and the price did not reflect what was served. Friendly staff but would not recommend a visit.

The menu promised a nice selection - but having gone for Rose Bubble tea, unfortunately the shop didn’t have tapioca so it was fruit bubbles only. This was not a bubble tea and tasted more like fruit squash with the fruit bubbles in. It tasted nothing like Rose. At £3.45 for the standard size, it was also not cheap. Perhaps I’m more used to the standard of Bubble Tea in London which is generally at least an 8/10... unfortunately I couldn’t even rate the standard of this ‘bubble tea’ and threw it away after the first few sips. 0/10.

Brilliant service, great selection of flavours. Very generous scoop sizes. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting

Popinns Room was very nice the staff were excellent and friendly we enjoyed the coffee and Sandwich we were pleased to call in

Crispy squid sandwich and a Reuben, both amazing, perfectly cooked, matched and presented. A gift to Cornwall. If only other seaside towns had an independent delivery like this!

We have come to Cornwall for a seafood eating weekend, and this was our first restaurant, then Argue, Newlyn and hook on the rocks, Falmouth. We were not disappointed. Delicious food. Lovely evening.

Way overpriced for 2 steaks £30 each with garlic butter. £6:50 for a small bottle of cider! Won’t be returning

Brilliant little unpretentious pub, with a great selection of real ales, best in St Ives.

Amazing views over the beach, and the food is excellent, as it looks and feels like a beach café, i was expecting the usual fish and chips or sandwiches. But in actuality it's a finely crafted menu with excellent flavours. Highly reccomended.

We’ve been coming here every time we pop down. Thankfully they were open yesterday Thursday. Lovely atmosphere. Great drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited twice and voted it our best beach vibe in St Ives. Even after a long season the staff were great. We had greek food twice and it was delicious and very authentic. We were lucky to get there as Beach west was closing for the winter but definitely worth visiting in 2025!

The best fish we have ever tasted. Absolutely incredible and we’re still talking about how good it was a week later. Certainly be paying another trip here in the near future. Amazing food but also a lovely atmosphere and fantastic friendly service. Thank you everyone at The Mermaid
