Visited twice here with family. Gorgeous waffles with a variety of toppings - some of the best waffles I have had. Partner had an ice cream and he said it was delicious. Staff also very accommodating of my coeliac daughter - gluten free cones and a scoop of ice cream from a new tub to avoid cross contamination. The only place in St ives she was able to have an ice cream cone so really appreciated it.

We call in often and it never ends to amaze us how many visitors to St Ives miss this incredible ice cream fresh from the farm in Zennor with some fantastic options - shipwreck is excellent!!!! The new cafe just up from the Quayside now has room for a coffee , breakfast or lunch also but let’s get this right - the ice cream is top of the list . Don’t miss this place , the team are also great and super friendly.

Pop in for an icecream which turned into a splee of toasties and Icecreams. Ice creams were delicious. Generous portion sizes. 1 scoop was plenty for kids and us grown ups. Pastrami toastie was tasty, slightly over powering with the strong mustard. Cheese with chilli chutney was also tasty. 3 x 1 scoop cones, 3 x kids drinks, 2 toasties, 1 x diet coke and 1 cortado was over £40 - expected for St Ives. Considering I got more for £27 at a bakery further in town I did feel a bit done by. I appreciate the cost reflects the hard work and effort gone into making the icecream. And food. That being said, a toastie is basically cheese on toast.

Visited with my partner and my dog. The choice of ice cream, drinks and other assorted snacks was very good. We both had an two scoop ice cream tub, receiving quite a fair amount in each. The ice cream was delicious, really smooth and not overly sickly. We did intend on sitting inside to get out of the hot sunshine, but it was incredibly warm inside the venue and not comfortable. No fault of the venue as it looked as though there wasn’t any air-con. We still had a lovely experience and would return if in St. Ives in the future.

This place had been recommended so we went to find it on our first visit to St. Ives. We were somewhat disappointed with our visit, we weren’t acknowledged at all by the two staff whom were there as we walked in, one clearing tables and one making coffees. I understand they were doing something but a smile or a help, maybe even an “I’ll be with you in just a minute!” We stood there for a few minutes, in the brink of walking out when the guy making coffee acknowledged us. We waited a few more minutes while he served these coffee (two trips to the table) then took our order. The kids enjoyed the ice cream but I wouldn’t rush back.

Told about this place by my cousin who is a local. The St Ives branch appears to be under renovation but a very short drive, or longer walk round the coastal path (I was reliably informed as this undulates, it can take about half a day), brings you to Zennor itself. There is a car park next to the farm with a £1 fee but I also heard folks in the cafe mentioning a bus they were catching. From here you can go on various walks or you can visit Moomaid itself. The cafe offers more than just ice creams. There were cream teas, cakes and sandwiches on offer too. The board of Icecream flavours circulated a little daily. ‘Shipwreck’ was a hit with my husband, the kids loved the chocolate, I loved the Cherry and Almond on our first visit and one I think that was called ‘Moomaid Mess’ the 2nd time. You will be spoilt for choice. The offer take away tubs for sale and a range of Moomaid souvenirs (I’m currently drinking my morning tea out of their enamel mug!) Also on site is a lovely gift shop with all sorts of quality gifts, many from local producers. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating but at peak times this place is popular, so you may want to find another spot in this picturesque village to enjoy your Icecream.

Let me start by saying that this is a review of the rude, stuck up staff not the ice cream, which is very tasty. We walked into the shop and were asked immediately what we wanted,no hello! no smiles,as if we were something on the bottom of their shoe. You can't see the ice cream unless you go up to the counter to choose, we were told extremely curtly, twice to stay behind the yellow line, 2 meters away. We needed binoculars to see the ice cream. Maybe we needed protecting against the staff?? After a short time we had chosen what we wanted as there is so much to choose from. The two girls behind the counter were extremely unhelpful, rude, and curt. We suggest a spot of training is needed!(or totally different, trained, polite staff)WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOU AGAIN. We are all trying our best and don't appreciate being judged thanks, but we will put this down to stress of the weird environment we all find ourselves in and suffice to say that once the treat arrived and the flavor flowed, all was forgotten, and I would certainly not let it keep me from going back for the best treat of the holiday.

We have been coming to Cornwall for a long time now, several times a year, so naturally we've tried quite a bit of ice cream :) The Moomaid of Zenor to this day remains or very favourite option. The flavours are to die for, especially "Shipwreck", their bestseller. Yes, it's a pit pricy, but one or two scoops will get you far. I visited moomaids with my boyfriend this week and was no disappointed. I first visited this little ice cream parlour the year it opened (about 10 years ago!) and it was delicious then. I've been back several times since then and it always seems to get better. We shared a brownie sundae which was incredible! The price is on the high side for a sundae (£8) but the ice cream is the best I've ever tasted and the homemade brownie chunks were amazing too. Both of us agreed it was worth the money. We sat on the terrace which allows you to soak up the atmosphere of st ives whilst being protected from the sea gulls... result! I have tried every ice cream parlour in St Ives and not one comes close to being as good as moomaids. A must see!

Had to visit the shop twice a day because, 3 minutes after leaving, a random seagull flew upon me fast & furious and snatched the whole cone right from my hand. Anyway, it is wonderfully tasty.

We stopped in after a July downpour with three very wet children. The lady serving today was absolutely lovely. She made the nicest coffees and the ice cream is just as amazing as the service. Pistachio, vanilla, dark choc all sampled. Best ever :) thanks x

Whilst having a stroll around Mousehole we came upon the Orange Cafe Bar by chance with it being up a lane just away from the harbour. We did not immediately realise it was a vegan cafe but that was not an issue for us. The staff were warm and friendly, explaining the dishes so that we could make an informed choice. We went for the burger (patty) and cake, both of which were delicious. People often shy away from eating this type of food but on this showing they should give it a go, which saw two diners leave very happy.

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

Delicious coffee in a beautiful location. Dogs very welcome! With an on-site natural pet shop and a large car park.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
