Listed in the Best of England guide books under the name of the Cornish Mill..arrived at 2pm they had no savouries left no sandwiches nothing for lunch at all by one cold bacon and cheese Pasty which I purchased wife settled for a cake..very disappointing as we travelled there specifically following the guide book..customers were going in and out so potential to provide a better stocked unit..lots of cakes and jams ect..also well over priced however it's a family business in a remote location

If you like cake, this is the place . You can have a coffee and a cake inside or take away . The fresh eggs are a must with a miners loaf and cornish butter. Also, sell jams , pasties, milk, etc. The people serving you are really friendly as well .

We had such a gorgeous lunch I want to write my first review on here! What a stunning little bakery, the only downside was what to choose! The variety is particularly impressive and each option was unique and they had lots of traditional cornish things to try. We were greeted with friendly staff and they offered us the big table, the children sat so I could chose a bunch of treats we could all pick between. They were very helpful with my little boy who has allergies to dairy, eggs, nuts. He had ginger biscuit, oat raisen and cherry biscuits (chewy yummy) and bread and jam. We also had, served with butter and homemade strawberry jam, fruit scones, safron buns, eccles cakes, I can't think what else but with bottles of water and a coffee. It was under £20 which I thought was very reasonable. Lots of happy children. The staff were chatty and then offered bricks for my littles to play when they could see them wiggling. I'm not sure my husband will ever accept another eccles cake after having one of theirs! And it was filling too. And we got some oats which I am looking orward to trying. Another day we had pasties to take out which were delicious. And we have taken home a hamper of cakes and biscuits to share with our family. Thank you and long live the Cornish Mill and Bakehouse. God bless you all!

I'm walking the Pilgrim Walk, The Cornish Celtic Way & came to Cubert (on the way to Crantock) to collect my Pilgrim Passport Stamp. It's a hot day & it was SO lovely to come across this GREAT cafe & bakery. Nice & cool inside & a small seating area outside for dogs & their owners. The owner & staff are extremely pleasant & helpful. The goods on sale are mouth-watering. A treasure trove offering lots of choice between cakes, buns, biscuits, breads & other goodies. Can highly recommend a visit to Cubert Village and it's local bakery & cafe

What a wonderful selection of cakes, pasties, homemade bread and other delights can be found here! They also stock gluten free pasties which are cooked, unlike everywhere else which only sells frozen ones. And gluten free cakes and biscuits. Worth stocking up on!! Particularly recommend the lardy cake, the rocky road, the saffron buns, shortbread biscuits and wholemeal bread with flour made from wheat grown on their own farm. Catch them also at Truro farmers market on weds and sat in Lemon street. Falmouth on thursday.

This is a bold statement to make but I do so having spent the last 5 Years in Cornwall - as an incomer! Their pasties are second to none but they also make the best lardy cake (so full of raisins and cinnamon), shortbread biscuits, many different types of bread (ancient grains, spelt, many others), cakes, gluten free cakes and pasty, hevva cake, and a breakfast pastry thing whose name escapes me! The Crantock shop also sells meat and sausages from their own farm animals. As well as the shop they sell at Truro farmers market in Lemon quay on weds and sats and Falmouth market on Thursday. I wish they had another shop at the farm.

My son and I ate here a couple of years ago and bought some flour and pasties for later in the day. That and the cream tea were all so excellent that, when we came back to Cornwall in April 2018, we made a twenty mile detour to have another cream tea. Delicious fresh scones, homemade strawberry jam and wonderful clotted cream accompanied excellent leaf tea. We bought scones, a chocolate cake and a huge jar of the same jam we had just eaten, so we could share it with our loved ones when we got home. The Jam has already been eaten and everything was delicious. We'll be back!!

This is what every community needs: a qulaily bakery / cafe serving top quality bread, pies, cakes and other locally sourced foods. Whilst staying nearby I called three times to buy bread and cakes. Everything I tried was top quality and fairly priced. I also enjoyed coffee in the cafe. The Cornish pasties are the best I’ve ever tasted. The local bus stops virtually outside the door. I will certainly visit every time I stay with. Y son in Cornwall.

Being a Leicestershire lad you sometimes think that you grew up in heaven on earth and nothing could be better than a Melton Mowbray pork pie on Christmas day morning with toast ..... however ... On a trip down memory lane with my friend to Cubert I sniffed out the bakery and what a delight and pleasure it was. Having the urge to go native I was going to go for a pasty until my gaze fell upon something familiar yet different. A question provided the answer and a full explanation to what culinary surprise the golden crust contained. I was won over and invested in a breakfast pie. Oh yes, meaty, containing a cheeky egg accompanied with cracking pastry ... it was certainly up there with what Melton's best could provide. I could have indulged for longer sampling the other treats on offer. We were self-disciplined and continued on our way ... but we'll be back - I'm sure.

We spotted the bakery the day we arrived- unfortunately it was a Sunday. However, from the Monday onwards we sampled their beautiful cakes, pastries and yes pasties. We had already been advised by the local shop that they sold out of pasties quickly each day so we called early and took them out with us for lunch. We can also recommend their cakes; how can you go in for pasties and not buy coffee and cake too?

This place is incredible. The family farm and mill the wheat for the flour as well as rearing the meat that goes in the pasties. And my God! What pasties! Their bread, buns, baps, cakes and pasties and pies were honestly some of the best I have ever eaten. They are really missing a trick by not being great at marketing as this is some of the best and well priced bakery produce I have ever been lucky enough to stumble upon in this country. Go! Make a detour! (Do it early though - they'd almost sold out by the time we left at 11am)

This cafe is now called Cafeccino and I suspect run by different people . Before the menu had a good choice of dishes and excellent service . Today our experience was much worse ,we ordered a bacon sandwich and two coffees from the very limited menu and sat waiting at our table for 20 minutes and nothing arrived ( the cafe was not busy ) ,I got up and asked where our food and drinks were ,she had forgotten ,what did she think we were sitting at a table for ?I got a refund and was glad to leave because the woman behind the counter had been feeding a dog using her fingers and patting the animal down and not washing her hands ! Very unprofessional . My advice is to avoid this place .
