had a lovely meal here april 10th.a menu was brought to us outside in good time.i had jacket potato and salad,wife had a breakfast.lovely lady-the owner?- sorted both meals as it was menu change over time, with no fuss.the girl who took the order was very pleasant and the girl who bought us our meal was very attentive,and we were asked if our food was ok.just lovely to eat freshly cooked local food outside in the sun backed up by great customer care.we are delighted to support local businesses like this where custom care is a priority.so thankyou to all at the toby jug cafe boscastle. we will 100% recommend you to all our clients,family and friends.WELL DONE!!

Absolutely outstanding breakfast, we had the big breakfast.. including hogs pudding... everything was cooked perfectly, staff are very attentive warm and very friendly, don't go to boscastle without visiting the Toby for something to eat... excellent local produce and very good value.

Visited for lunch with friends, am so pleased we did, the entire experience was definitely 5 star ⭐️, the customer service was fantastic, so attentive, we all ordered lunch with drinks followed by a sweet treat of cakes, all the meals where so tasty, of great quality produce, well presented and of good size, I ordered the loaded fries topped with chilli n cheese (as it’s one of my favourites), I have to admit it was the most delicious loaded chilli fries I’ve ever had, as well as my cappuccino’s too, nothing was to much for the staff. We visited and ordered lunch after a doggy walk with our pooches in tow, even our pooches had a good few treats too, upon leaving we realised we’d left a very dirty floor around our table but Ray the owner was so lovely and wouldn’t even let us help clean it up, I’ll definitely revisit and it’s definitely a firm favourite of mine now and I highly recommend visiting

Visiting Boscastle and you don’t call in for a Full Cornish you really don’t know what you’re missing. Really lovely welcome and delightful service and the breakfast has the most amazing local produce cooked to perfection. The sausage and thick cured smoked bacon was a delight.

During my first visit to Boscastle, we arrived at this lovely little cafe later in the day. Even though we were close to closing time, the lovely staff and owner allowed us to order and eat our meal without us feeling rushed or pushed out. We ordered a coke, a Diet Coke, a cheese and red onion panini with garnish and crisps, and a fully loaded cheesy chips. Food was lovely, particularly the panini. Salad and crisps were nice touches. Lovely little place!

We stopped off at the Toby Jug on a sunny Saturday in September for lunch and every person’s meal was tasty and clearly good quality (BLT, tuna Mayo sandwich, ham egg & chips and homemade chilli jacket potato). Perfect ‘classic’ lunch menu done really well, highly recommend!

If you go to Boscastle visit Toby Jug Cafe. You will find a great welcome from Ray and team and the best flat white coffee in Cornwall. Food looked excellent too.

A lovely place..delicious warm and fresh scones served by friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble and when we share a cream tea extra plate and cups provided without having to ask. Our sixth visit here, never been disappointed.Would highly recommend.

This little Gem doesn’t stop to impress me. We have been now coming to see Ray and the toby’s team since the’ve Opened. Love this place we always come here when we are in Boscastle. Staff are always friendly. Food is good and at a price you would expect.

This is a fabulous cafe with such friendly and obliging staff. I made a mistake with the order and not only did they change it they didn’t charge me the extra cost. My 6 year old granddaughter had a hot chocolate with cream and mallows. My 3 year old granddaughter asked if she could have a few mallows off her sisters drink. The manager must have heard her ask as a minute later he came out with a pot of mallows for her. She was overjoyed. The drinks were very nice and I can’t recommend the Toby Jug Cafe highly enough.

Fantastic personalised service from the owner when I told him I am coeliac. Went through all gluten free options and reassured me of the highest care taken to avoid cross contamination risk. He recommended the gluten free scones and I’m so glad he did as they were the best gluten free scones I’ve ever had. Dog friendly is an added bonus. Thank you all at Toby Jug.

A lovely café in the harbour of Boscastle. Offering selection of breakfast options and cream teas. Its was really clean and welcoming. The staff were really friendly, chirpy and happy to find me and my dog a seat. I had a fab large breakfast and a latte which I cannot fault and is way better than a more pretentious cafe nearby. Offering real value for money, a nice atmosphere and a brilliant location this has to be my favourite cafe in town.

Visited on 31/05/2024 After looking everywhere for a gluten free cream tea we found this place snd are so glad we did . Possibly the best scones I’ve ever tasted ! ( I have tried normals scones pre celiac) these are the best ! They take gluten allergy seriously , and to top it off the staff are just a delight ! So warm and welcoming , friendly , such a nice atmosphere ! The breakfasts look amazing , the pasties are great . There is a fog watering station so pups can enjoy a refreshing drink too . It’s a must stop spot if you are travelling to Cornwall . I went twice in one day it was that good !

We stayed just outside Boscastle, but had coffee & sausage baps when we arrived at the Toby Jug Cafe. Great service, & then a full English breakfast the day before we left. Lovely to see Karen the chef lady, we will be back. Highly recommend you pop in if you are in the area

Visited for dinner lunch after the Witchcraft Museum. Good choice of food on the menu. Lovely smoothies/milkshakes. Very clean throughout, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

As a coeliac, I felt very safe eating here. We had lovely home made burgers. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable re cross contamination and what was suitable for me. The place was spotless, the toilets were a brilliant size - well able to get wheelchair in. The place is dog friendly and the staff were lovely. Def recommend a visit.

What a wonderful place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I have been in Cornwall for nearly a week and this is the first place I have been able to get a gluten free cream tea. I even had one to take away! A lovely place, I shall definitely be back!

Proper little gem of a cafe. Looks a bit unassuming but the staff are really friendly and the cafe food is of excellent quality. And don't miss the Farmer Tom ice cream, it's amazing!

Very lovely, welcoming and attentive folk running this cafe. They talked to the children and brought treats for the dog! The kids had the best chunky cheesy chips ever! I can honestly say it was my best happy cafe experience for a long time. There’s a life size animated pirate in the window who speaks to you and follows you wit his eyes 🤣

We visited this place off season for a lunch and there was no fish and chips, my partner had fish fingers instead and they said sorry about not having the fish n chips we can put an extra fish finger if you like. This extra fish finger was charged and cost an extra 5 pounds, without telling me until the bill was given. The owner sat in the restaurant and there were 3 staff members standing around doing nothing. I recommend you don't go here because good and honest service should be all year round

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were seated straight away, a relief as we were a party of five. The menu had plenty of choice and the kids loved the American-style pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. My oat latte was lovely and the owner said the locally made sausages were really good and he was right. We will call again.

We nipped in for lunch and had the home made vegetable soup - with chunky bread - which was superb! Also the luxury hot chocolate was very impressive!

We are from France and recently stayed with friends in Bude. We had heard about the "Full English Breakfast" and were keen to try one. The Toby Jug was recommended, and we were not dissapointed. I can eat, but the Toby Breakfast beat me. If you want ambience, good value for money and good food served by friendly staff (who also made sure that our dog was well looked after) look no further than the Toby Jug. We'll be back.

Had an awesome Cornish breakfast on our return visit to Boscastle. Many thanks to Ray and the fabulous team. They have truly created the highest quality of customer service. We had the chilli for lunch last time we came in March, that was awesome too. Stanley loved his doggie ice cream too. 5 Santa stars again guys.

Nice cafe in a beautiful location. Parking nearby. Staff were friendly. Got basic food but it was tasty and filling. Egg and chips and dirty fries with cheese, onion and jalapenos. Plenty of tea in the teapot! Cater for vegetarian/vegan diets

Went in to get breakfast for myself my wife and daughter aged 3, menu looked good however it was a very windy day and the wind was blowing straight through the door. We asked if the door could be shut as it was very cold, and the staff said that they cant shut the door as it would make it look as if the cafe is shut, even with a huge sign outside saying they are open, lots of lights on inside and lots of people sat eating in the window. So we simply got up and left, its not an un reasonable request on a windy day when your with a small child

Best pasties we have ever tasted, full of meat, and the pastry was not too thick. The waitress was very efficient in delivering our pasties and very friendly. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. 😆

This place was a highlight of our lovely day in Boscastle! We are a pretty awkward group to cater for, with a vegan, a dog and a picky eater among us. We were delighted that the Toby Jug ticked all our boxes, and then some! Plenty of vegan options - really nice out-the-box things that went beyond the usual ‘falafel and hummus wrap’ that most cafes offer. It was a real treat to have a variety of choice, and the food was absolutely delicious! (Best vegan cheese I’ve ever had!) We felt it was very good value too with hearty portions. All the staff were so warm and welcoming and made a big fuss of our little dog - which he loved! Thank you for a truly lovely experience.

I was in Boscastle for a couple of days and the warm late summer weather invited for an ice cream. The reviews said Toby's was the place to go and I trusted them. I don't think I've ever had a worse ice cream. The gentleman who served me the ice cream in a waffle cone didn't even have the foresight to serve it with a napkin, but kept touching it with his hands, even though he had just touched cash from the till. I asked if the ice cream was made by them and he said yes, I highly doubt it. Not recommended, sorry

Super dog friendly cafe! The pancakes are AMAZING! And the bacon I had with them was blinking gorgeous! My partner had a scrummy sausage bap which he thoroughly enjoyed! The coffee was also lush! If we are in Boscastle again we will definitely return again…. And I’ll definitely have the pancakes again! 😋

This cafe is simply outstanding. The menu is varied to suit appetite and age alike. Outstanding service, atmosphere and location. You can tell from the standard of food that quality ingredients are used throughout and clearly a priority for guests. Sweet treats, ice creams, milkshakes and savoury bites too! Strongly recommend the large breakfast. Hogs pudding and sausages divine. Dog friendly and a warm welcome washed down with Korev Lager. It’s a tradition to visit the Toby Jug Cafe when we holiday in Cornwall as a family. Didn’t realise it has new owners until after, but their lovely friendly staff, made us and our 3 dogs very welcome, even setting us up inside as it was raining and checked dogs had water and a treat! Food was delicious and we will be back next year!!

Staff a delight called in I had the ploughman's my wife requested something not on the menu they were able to oblige it's a must try called back later for ice-cream 😋

We visited the cafe twice, today being the most recent with a teenager and young labrador in tow. Staff are welcoming, friendly and make a fuss of your dog. Jo served us today and she was a ray of sunshine with her attitude and beaming smile. Jasper our labrador was offered a treat (Jo asked beforehand) and we sat outside to eat. We had cooked breakfasts the last week and creamed teas and sausage and chips for the teenager. The food is fresh cooked and uses locally sourced products and you can tell as it is fresh, hot and tastes delicious. If you want to eat good food amd encounter good customer service in a great location, then look no further! Boscastle and the cafe are a perfect match for several hours of exploration, window shopping and walking. Looking forward to our next trip already.

We had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious, all locally sourced. An extra thanks for cooking up a sausage for our dog, if he could type he’d give you 5 stars too. Couldn’t recommend, great place to stop on holiday

Had a wonderful breakfast as a family of 5 with 2 young pups. Service was 10/10, staff all very friendly and attentive, provided two water bowls for our pups and cheeky treats. Food was brilliant value, definitely will be visiting again - Thank you.

Just wanted to write a quick review for this lovely place. Me and my partner were recently here for a visit, staying in boscastle. We came for breakfast one morning as we couldn't get a table at the farm shop. The staff were great, very welcoming. We were even able to sit outside in the rain as they had umbrellas and it was very warm. The breakfast was lovely and they were really helpful as I am gluten free, it was also great value and didn't feel like we'd been ripped off. Great start to the day having been here, thank you so much. Will be coming here again on our return.

Where to start? I was greeted by Ray, the owner. Ray is extremely polite, professional, with a sense of humour. The food was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection. You can tell it’s cooked fresh! The cafe is clean and tidy and the staff are professional and...

Came with our furry friend, and the staff were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very homely and coffees were lovely. The cheese scones were the highlight and the gluten free options were many and varied which was perfect for us.

This place is amazing, the quality of the produce on my ploughman’s was spectacular..! The attention to detail and the fact that the (I believe to be the owner) chap that seated us even shut the door to the toilet so we couldn’t hear it meant a lot..! I would seriously give this place a look. I’m not a person that gives a review for the sake of it.. But because I wasn’t asked and they definitely went over and above, I felt that it right..! We ate a hearty, good quality and tasty breakfast, sitting out in the pleasant, fenced patio area in front of The Toby Jug. Service is very friendly and quick. Prices are extremely reasonable. The perfect start to the day.
